Hi Natty! Happy Earth Day! Oh, I remember those snapshots. That was when you did your epic trek along the West Coast. At first I thought it was USA, now it looks like Canada. What I recall most is that you looked so tired at the end of it, I felt so bad! Happy Earth Day. I'm glad you are here to remind me. What did I do today? I cut the grass! Oh, don't worry about the grass. There's plenty more where that came from.
The fasting month of Ramadan begins tomorrow. It is a mandatory task for all Muslims to fast during the month of Ramadan, just like it is a mandatory task for all Muslims to pray 5 times a day. We go without food, drink, sexual activity and vulgar language from dawn to sunset. A female on her period is exempt from fasting, but she must make up the days she missed before the next Ramadan. A lot of people dread the fasting month, but I quite enjoy the month. I guess if you were a glutton, drug addict or chain smoker, you would dread the fasting month. For the rest of us it's business as usual, other than our eating times change. I will be eating at 4 am and after the sunset prayer. I don't what time I will be posting my letter to you each day during Ramadan. Last year it was before sunset, but nowadays I have to regard the Jap kids and their TikTok video, which I have to watch before posting.

Just another average day
Hi Natty! How are you? It must be warming up over there. Oh, the mountains must be gorgeous this time of year. What a wonderful feeling it must be to warm up to the sun in spring! Enjoy yourself, Sweetie. I hope you are feeling great and having a marvelous time. It's just another average day here for me. I did my laundry in the morning. I had a mushroom omelet for lunch. I have so much rice right now, I have to eat it, and I have been eating it everyday. But today I didn't want rice, so I opted for fried rice vermicelli. Yeah, it's made from rice but it's a different dining experience. It comes dried, so you have to soak it for a bit before using it. Not so if you're making soup though, you can just chuck it into the broth and it will work out fine. I chopped up garlic and ginger for the fond, with some "sambal tumis" (blended onions, chillies and "belacan" (fermented shrimp paste) fried in oil until saturated), then some slices of cat food (raw chicken breast), added the noodles and mixed it up with soy sauce. I made some space in the middle of the mix to put in a little oil to fry up an egg, let it harden a little, then mix it up again. I shut the heat off then added then fresh sliced chillies and chopped chives, plus dried onions, salted radish, and plankton shrimp. This is the first time I tried the plankton shrimp (dried shrimp the size of plankton): tastes like squid. Mix it up one last time, and it's ready. Anyway, I think dinner was a success. Alhamdulillah. Want some?

The griefer
Hi Natty! How are you today? I hope you are feeling great and having a great time. Yes Honey, I listened to your podcast. Sometimes it is not God's purpose to give us peace. Why is that? Perhaps our form of worship is unacceptable. This is not a perfect world. It's not supposed to be.
Oh, what did happen today? Mary Unknown7 was able to start her set just fine, the setup went without incident. But after the first song, my pc suddenly got an "out of memory" crash. Which was weird to me, because there was no one else on the sim. No big deal, I just rebooted and logged back into Second Life. So she started singing again, then after a couple of songs the guy that had been interrupting her set for the past couple of days showed up, and asked us to help someone learn how to use the stream. I took over the keyboard, and told him that we were "too busy to help him. Click the board if you want to sing." So he clicked the board, and I took Mary's avatar over to the other side of the sim to continue singing. Then the Internet slowed down, and we got logged out. I'm guessing the Internet slowed down to 14.4 kbps (which was the speed of the Internet back in 1998), so I tried to log back in and miraculously, we got back in. Mary's avatar didn't render, but the voice feed was working so she went back to singing. Then I noticed that guy wasn't using the stream, so I put Mary on it. Then he came over and shot her. After being shot, Mary's avatar got teleported to a Safe Hub which is usually crowded, but there was only 3 people there. The stream was still working, even though the Internet was still slowed down. A little after midnight PST, we lost Second Life, but the stream remained connected right until the end of Mary's set. I have no idea how we kept the stream. Perhaps a thousand angels assisted us. Thank You, ya Allah.
Why all the drama, though? What else is going on?

Qur'an 20200421
In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.
3. The unbelievers say, "Never to us will come the Hour." Say, "No! But most surely by your Lord, it will come to you, by God Who knows the unseen, from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the heavens and the earth, nor is there anything less than that or greater, but is in the Record Perspicuous."
Sheba 34:3

The live audience
Hi Natty! How are you today? I'm sure you are keeping busy. I just got done with the sunset prayer, and I watched the Jap kids video before that. I had rice for dinner, with sunny side up eggs and spicy sardines sauce. The eggs were perfect today! Until I tried to plate them, and broke one of them. Sigh! I think I'm getting a foolproof routine down though inshaAllah.
Mary had some trouble today with her set, some online rivals trying to mess with her emotions and her time. I want you folks to know that she is never alone, I am always with her. It is my job to protect her, I masquerade as her many times but she does the singing. In crisis, I take over the controls and tell her to close her eyes and keep singing. After all, there is still the local audience here at all times, which the West would find near impossible to capture. I simply moved her to a different spot on the sim and turned the voice feed on. Then it becomes a battle of stamina: who gives up first?
Anyway, next up is wardrobe. I'm going to log back on with Mary, and I will listen to your latest podcast at the same time. 42 minutes, huh? Congratulations.

Shopping
Hi Natty! How's it going? I hope everything is going well for you, and you are feeling good. It's been a busy day for me. I cleaned my mother's bedroom as usual every Sunday. I made a quick lunch after that- scrambled eggs with 2 pieces of fresh pita bread. In the evening, I went out to buy some supplies. Ramadan begins this Friday, so I'm preparing for that. I got lentils, beans, chicken breast, anchovies, etc. Lentils are cheap, but you can't get too creative with them or they will taste like crap. Just plain old hummus, but that should go well with pita bread. I also bought some of those tiny shrimp which are plankton size. I've never used them before, so I'm going to try some shrimp experiments with them. Wish me success.
I was also busy on Second Life: TMP is having a giveaway on its classic mesh body for 1 Linden. It was a maze I tell you, navigating the store and it was CROWDED. Mary was off by then, so I used her avatar to get the gift. I think I may have gotten the male body though, I don't know because I haven't opened the box yet. If it is the male body then I can't show it to her. She's very sensitive about that stuff. Yeah, oh-so-feminine, huh? I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I'll delete it!
