I really wanted to use "squid pro quo" as the title for today's post, but I didn't have a reason for it until my mother gave me some lunch. It looks like a movie clip, but it's squid cooked in "sambal tumis" (blended chillies, onions, and "belacan" (fermented shrimp paste) fried in oil until saturated). Very yummy!

Squid pro quo
Hi Natty! Wow, you're so tall! Is that really Sesame Street? It looks more like someplace beside the water, like a boardwalk or something. Now that you've pointed it out, yes I don't go out much at night. Just to the mosque for the night prayer. Which is a shame really, because nights here are pleasant and the crime rate is low. It's not NYC, but there are plenty of places open late and some of the kids like to stay up all night. Karaoke. My days are are busy and so are my nights, right until I go to sleep. I guess that has to change when I marry inshaAllah.
