Qur'an 20201130

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

5.  The similitude of those who were charged with the Mosaic Law but who subsequently failed is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes.  Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah.  And Allah guides not people who do wrong.

6.  Say, "O you who stand on Judaism!  If you think that you are friends to Allah to the exclusion of humans, then express your desire for death, if you are truthful!"

7.  But never will they express their desire for death because of what their hands have sent on before them!  And Allah knows well those who do wrong!

8.  Say, "The death from which you flee will truly overtake you, then will you be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open, and God will tell you the things that you did!"

9.  O you who believe!  When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday, hasten earnestly to remembrance of Allah, and leave off business.  That is best for you, if you only knew.

10.  And when the prayer is finished, then may you disperse through the land and seek of the bounty of Allah, and celebrate the praises of Allah often, that you may prosper.

11.  But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it, and leave you standing.  Say, "That from the Presence of Allah is better than any amusement or bargain!  And Allah is the Best to provide."

Friday 62:5-11

Shame... or kittens?

Hi Natty!  How are you over there?  I saw this photo on Yahoo news, it sure looks like Venice Beach.  But there no homeless encampments.  Where do they go during a lockdown?  I hope you are keeping yourself safe and healthy, and isolating yourself from other people.

Before I released Lookie from the Collar of Shame a couple of days ago, I said to her, "If I take off this collar, will you promise me that you won't lick all your fur off?"  No response.  Again I asked, "If I take off this collar, will you promise me that you won't lick all your fur off?"  Again, no response.  For the third time I asked, "If I take off this collar, will you promise me that you won't lick all your fur off?"  The she meowed with an annoyed tone that said, "OK!  OK already!"  So I took off the collar.  A day passed, and guess what folks...  No, she didn't lick all her fur off.  Instead, she put another blister on her butt.  So I had to put the collar back on.  Don't worry folks, when the wound heals I'll take the collar off and keep giving her chances with the hope that she'll figure out that there's no need to over groom herself.  Her mother was a jealous bully, that's how Lookie became a nervous kitty.  Her mother since passed away.  I can understand how a mother's influence can terrorize a heart for its entire life.  Some people may argue that that is a mother's privilege to do so to her offspring.  But I have a nervous wreck of a kitty on my hands!  If I take her to the vet, the doctor will turn her into a drug addict and I don't want that.  I want Lookie to learn for herself that she's the boss cat now.  Anyway, behold the face of shame.

Could it be though that she's pregnant?  Bro is grown up now, maybe she's excited  that there's finally a man in the house.  I mean, cat.  She kept on trying to tell me something after the Asr prayer, then she went digging around in the empty boxes that I keep in the house for the cats.  I do want the kittens, if so.  Next I have to figure out how to juggle the living situation of the father.  I can't just let him pump out kittens without end, I just want one batch of healthy kittens from Lookie.  But I also can't just let Bro wander out everywhere as he pleases, because he would get killed.  Sigh.  One thing after another.
