Letter to Erin 20160403

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

Hi Erin!  Whatcha doin', Honey?  I guess you're busy as usual.  Have you been thinking about our wedding?  Since I have to pay for your house and ring inshaAllah, I'm not too enthusiastic about financing an elaborate wedding ceremony.  What I want is a simple ceremony of Islamic marriage rites at the local mosque, with a modest buffet for the witnesses.  If you want an elaborate wedding with paparazzi present, then get somebody to sponsor it.  Just remember it's an Islamic wedding.  So when you design your wedding dress, please make sure you have something to cover your hair.  You are my wife inshaAllah.  I love you and I need you.

I was about to go downtown to the pharmacy, then all these rain clouds showed up.  There's nothing more miserable than being caught in the rain on a motorcycle, so I postponed my trip, and commenced to breaking down debris again.  All the while, I was watching the sky.  Still no rain.  So I cooked up my dinner instead.  A nice, soft tenderloin, with a thick hash brown pancake.  Delicious!  Want some?

165.  What!  When a single disaster smites you, although you smote with one twice as great, do you say, "What is this?"  Say, "It is from yourselves, for Allah has power over all things."

(The Family of Imran 3:165)
