Compromise

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I wish I were there with you.  It must be beautiful over there.  I just checked the calendar, and Ramadan is one month away!  I need to start preparing.  Well, mentally.  I still have to work during the day, and Mary still has to sing.  You don't have to fast, Honey.  Only Muslims must fast during Ramadan.

I use the Linden Labs viewer for Second Life, for Mary Unknown7.  This is because I want her to be seen in the same light as the noobs (newbies) use.  Lately we've been upgrading her avatar, and we finally settled on a all-mesh avatar that she's satisfied with.  Linden Labs automatically updates their viewer, and they did so last night, and harsh shadows appeared on Mary's new avatar, so bad that we had to use an older one.  I accept the automatic updates, but I'm so happy that I don't have to use Windows 10.  Instead of wallowing in conspiracy theories, which is unpractical, I accept that there was a good reason.  As it pertains to Mary's avatar, the new mesh avatar doesn't move lips when she sings: the animation is for the system avatar head.  We all want her performance to look as good as possible.  Perhaps they wanted her to go back to using the system head, which she had to for today's session.  I thought that instead of messing with her new avatar, they could have included an animation for mesh heads.  But there are other things going on as well, like the fact that Mary is now using the stream not the voice feed.  I asked Mary what she thought about having to go back to the system head.  She said the system head looks better.  Hm.  I think she's right.  It does look better.  Damn.  What do you think?
