Pandan

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey!  I hope you are having a fabulous time over there, and lots of laughs!  You're so nice, Natty.  Please keep yourself safe and healthy OK!  I'm doing OK over here, just waiting for sunset and longing for my Sweetie.  I was going to make ramen for dinner, but I had some extra coconut cream in the cooler that needed to be used up.  I'm not a big fan of local food.  I do like fish heads, though.  Yeah!  I also like "nasi lemak bilis telur" (rice steamed in coconut milk, with hot sauce, eggs and crunchy anchovies) but nobody sells that during Ramadan, so I have to make it myself.

That's the patch of "pandan" leaves growing in my yard.  I feed it a lot of water but I don't have any use for it, as you can see the dried up leaves from lack of harvesting.  Pandan is used for sweets and confections, and I don't make that stuff for myself.  Maybe for you, Natty.  I did harvest that patch for the first time today.  I took one leaf to put in my rice.  Gives a nice aroma!
