Letter to Julia 20130711

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

Hi Julia!  How are you feeling today, my love?  I didn't get to do much ouse cleaning today.  Someone planted a cat on my porch yesterday.  My Dad said he wanted to keep it, gave it a name, then when it was decided that I was the one to take care of it, he decided he didn't want it anymore.  He named her Ramadan.  She's kind of fluffy to me, so I call her Fluffy.  Fluffy Ramadan.  She's quite a languid cat, her attitude is kind of "don't care-ish".  She didn't take to cat food right away, so I assume she is a local cat, used to eating rice and fish.  Well, of course she's a local cat... who would import a kitten from Germany just to abandon on my porch?  I spent the morning giving her a bath, then taking her to the vet.

How are you handling the fasting month, my dearest?  My routine doesn't seem to have changed much other than the not eating, and the extended social prayer at the mosque.  I wonder how you would cope with this social scenario?  It's not as if we could pray side by side, and poke each other in cute horseplay.
