Letter to Julia 20110608

Time. I seem to have a lot of time nowadays, while things are in flux. I suppose you already know that I no longer work an internet cafe, and no longer have to eye and educate the rugrats of others on information technology? Ach, kids are OK I suppose, however they do grow up into adults, who can be thoroughly obnoxious. Lately it's been happening quicker... did you notice? It must be the effects of time distortion pertaining to Judgement Day.

But anyway, I have to patronize internet cafes now to declare my love to my beloved Julia, so please forgive me my dear if I don't write as frequently as before, for now at least. Really, we should be face to face, so I can reach out and grab you. But until then, even 50 cents a blog is pushing the wages of this music teacher, who has to tolerate all the ridiculous controversies of some rockstar. Darn those rockstars! I wonder what I would have turned into if I had become wealthy at the age of 22. Hmmm...

Well, I like what Allah has given me. Most humans don't respect me because I'm not rich, but I don't like them either, so I suppose that's OK. I do enjoy all this time I have right now. I spend most of it outside watching Shadowplay TV, or playing video games on the porch. I work on the yard when it gets closer to sunset. I can cook very slowly too, which is wonderful because it doesn't stress out the food. Experience tells me that this luxury too is temporary, so I enjoy it while I can.

Qur'an 20110608

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

56. Say, "I am forbidden to worship those, other than Allah, whom you call upon." Say, "I will not follow your vain desires. If I did, I would stray from the path, and be not of the company of those who receive Guidance."

57. Say, "For me, I'm on a clear Sign from my Lord. But you reject God. What you would see hastened, is not in my power. The Command rests with none but Allah. God declares the Truth, and God is the Best of Judges."

58. Say, "If what you would see hastened were in my power, the matter would be settled at once between you and me. But Allah knows best those who do wrong."

59. With God are the keys of the Unseen, the treasures that none knows but God. God knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf does fall but with God's knowledge. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry, but is in a Record clear.

60. It is God Who does take your souls by night, and has knowledge of all that you have done by day. By day does God raise you up again, that a term appointed be fulfilled. In the end unto God will be your return. Then will God show you the truth of all that you did.

61. God is Irreristible, from above God's worshippers, and God sets guardians over you. At length when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty.

62. Then are men returned unto Allah, their True Protector. Surely God's is the Command, and God is the Swiftest in taking account.

63. Say, "Who is it that delivers you from the dark recesses of the land and sea, when you call upon God in humility, and in silent terror; 'If God only delivers us from these, we shall truly show our gratitude.'?"

64. Say, "It is Allah that delivers you from these, and all distresses, yet you worship false gods."

65. Say, "God has power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance, each from the other." See how We explain the Signs in various ways, that they may understand.

66. But your people reject this, though it is the Truth. Say, "Not mine is the responsibility for arranging your affairs."

The Cattle 6:56-66
----------------------------------------------------------

I am forbidden to worship those, other than Allah, whom you call upon.

I will not follow your vain desires. If I did, I would stray from the path, and be not of the company of those who receive Guidance.

For me, I'm on a clear Sign from my Lord. But you reject God. What you would see hastened, is not in my power. The Command rests with none but Allah. God declares the Truth, and God is the Best of Judges.

If what you would see hastened were in my power, the matter would be settled at once between you and me. But Allah knows best those who do wrong.

Who is it that delivers you from the dark recesses of the land and sea, when you call upon God in humility, and in silent terror; 'If God only delivers us from these, we shall truly show our gratitude.'?

It is Allah that delivers you from these, and all distresses, yet you worship false gods.

God has power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance, each from the other.

Not mine is the responsibility for arranging your affairs.
