Tornado

Hi there, Natty honey!  How are you feeling today, dearest?  I hope your tummy is feeling more settled.  So you are back in school for an independent study.  I don't really know what that means, but it gives me the impression that you are pursuing a doctorate.  Best wishes to you, I hope you excel.  You have never elaborated to me about your academics, I'm wishing that you would talk more about it so I know how to address you respectfully in regards to your schooling.  I never finished school.  I went straight to work.

I am writing this letter earlier than usual, because I intend to be at the mosque by sunset.  Alas, after a day's break the rain started falling again, and it's still raining now.  I might not be able to leave the house.  Last night, while I was watching "Slumdog Millionaire" (great movie by the way, which could never be created by a director from India), it hailed.  The stones were small, so the tornado was mild.  This town would not be able to handle a big tornado, there is no place to go underground.  Can't dig a cellar, it would get constantly flooded.  A tornado here is definitely a weather distortion.  I've experienced persistent weather distortion in my life.  Allah is the One Who controls the weather.  I'm just a servant.  I've never been in a big tornado.  I almost did, once.  In Tempe, the desert, it was summer, I was out on my bicycle doing laundry, and large hail (the size of golf balls) fell in copious amounts.  So much that it looked like a blanket of snow.  In the desert.  In summer.  But the twister never touched down.  I guess it can hail without having a tornado.  This town isn't supposed to have tornadoes nor earthquakes.  I guess if God wants to run a tornado through here, God Will.
