I used to work a regular daily job too, as recently as a few years ago when my Dad made me office manager of his law firm. But before that, I had to spend 5-6 days a week at the pizza joint, from 8 am until dinner rush was over. Allah gave me some knowledge of cooking, so I didn't have to spend my earnings on eating out all the time, so I could spend the money on music instead. Anyway, I would get half off the food at the restaurant, so I bought raw foods and kept them in my cooler. Then I would cook my meals and pack them for lunch if necessary. Nowadays, I still prefer to buy raw foods then process them into meals, plus now I also have vegetables growing in my yard.
I always plan every meal, and I try to keep it at 2 meals a day. Save, save, save! I make my own bread and sauces, and I always use the oldest food first. Today the potatoes were the oldest food, so I made curry pups, which is bread stuffed with a hot curry stuffing. Oh, I should have taken photos. I had to make the stuffing first, and to do that I had to make hot chilli puree first, which I made from 160 grams of dried chilli peppers which I steamed last night. I had marinara sauce and noodles planned for dinner, but my Dad gave me some take out food instead. Shrimp croquettes in peanut sauce. Oh, I should have taken a photo of that as well. I'm extra spacey today.
Anyway, the Law of the Fridge: plan your meals around the oldest food in the cooler!
