Frou-frou foxes in midsummer fires

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  How are those nerves?  I hope you are able to keep your excitement under control, and all is calm and collected.  God usually works slowly, you know.  Little by little the big wheels turn, then bam!  Suddenly everything happens all at once.  Please be patient, and pray.  I know you love your coffee, Honey.  I like coffee, too.  I have only one cup of coffee everyday.  I totally need it at about half an hour into Mary's set, otherwise her voice puts me into a coma.  I saw on YouTube the other day that too much coffee is bad for your kidneys.  Along with too much salt, red meat, painkillers and sitting down.  Dr. Zam would like to add bad seafood to that list.

Sigh.  I suck at picking out lyrics.  I remember back at the end of high school, I had to pick out the lyrics for David Bowie's "China Girl", and "sacred cow" sounded like "sacred clown" to me.  Thus I preferred to Google the lyrics for "Frou-frou foxes in midsummer fires", and what I got were all pretty much like this:

These lyrics sound to me what I can only describe as "Lord of the Rings in Spanglish" (and I have no idea what the video footage is about).  Liz Fraser seems like an intelligent and poetic woman to me, so I refuse to believe that she wrote such ridiculous drivel.  Some phrases like "fire drake's ignitions" fit, but most of the lyrics are unusable.  What I got is definitely not what Liz Fraser wrote, I must assert.  Grammar is all shot to hell, too.  What I tried to do is to make the sounds that she made on the song as emotionally logical as possible.  It seems to me that this song is a summary of the entire Cocteau Twins career from the perspective of Elizabeth Fraser.  "Pulled rounder" has a double meaning, of dancing and of being pregnant.  The dance possibly refers to the first time she met her husband, and the disguise suggests that she became a singer to impress him.  Crazy, huh?  Elizabeth Fraser is one of the most beautiful voices ever.  Liz, please share with us the actual lyrics of the song, otherwise Mary will be using these words.  Well, this is my meager contribution to the music community for today.  Sigh.  I suck at picking out lyrics.

Frou-frou foxes in midsummer fires

A girl couldn't know

As God and the rest

How marriages be

A war or they lose

Closed in himself off

A fire drake's ignitions

Return infant's breath like

Milk handout to baby

And they are magical

They soar on silver (super) wings and nausea

She started pulled rounder

My blazening eyes on the youthful science

Cherry-colored light under the music is playing

Cause of the music (because of you)

All that I do (All I have done)

I improvise I'm in control

Is to wait on you

Rounder, louder, closer, tighter

Pulled rounder

Let go let him go

We'll sure pass each ways

Unless we can bring

Love up a new passion

Let's wait these things over

We're young I was eagerest

I'm losing his face

I have nested to find you

A girl couldn't know

As God and the rest

How marriages be

A war or we lose

Closed in himself off

A fire drake's ignitions

Return infant's breath like

Love handout to baby

And they are magical

They soar on silver (super) wings and nausea

And so I marry him

Why?  It's because I used a disguise

I used it to find you
