 In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

7.  If you reject, truly Allah has no need of you, but God dislikes ingratitude from God's servants.  If you are grateful, God is pleased with you.  No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another.  In the end to your Lord is your return, when God will tell you the truth of all that you did, for God Knows Well all that is in hearts.

8.  When some trouble touches man, he cries unto his Lord, turning to God in repentance.  But when God bestows a favor upon him as from God Self, he forgets what he cried and prayed for before, and he sets up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path.  Say, "Enjoy your blasphemy for a little while, verily you are of the companions of the fire!"

9.  Is one who worships devoutly during the hours of the night, prostrating or standing, who takes heed of the hereafter, and who places his hope in the mercy of his Lord... Say, "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know?   It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition."

10.  Say, "O you servants who believe!  Fear your Lord.  Good is for those who do good in this world.  Spacious is Allah's earth.  Those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!"

Hi Natty!  Oh, what a nice place!  And pink boots, too.  Is that cured ham on those shelves?  That looks like capicola to me.  Or maybe pancetta.  I used to cook with that shit back at the pizza joint, with gloves on of course.  I don't know what it tastes like, Muslims don't eat pig.

I looked through the outfits people wore on the red carpet at the 2023 Grammys, but I wasn't able to see all of them.  Once I got to Lil CC, the browser froze up.  Coincidence?  Phooey!  I'm just another pawn of the Fashion Industry Political Machine.  But as it is, and since I have bigger fish to fry, I agree with the selection and declare Lil CC to be the winner of the 2023 Grammy awards.  Congratulations, girl!  And don't put your hand on your hip.  It makes you look ghetto.  Now give me some money, Fashion Industry Political Machine.

"The Terror of the Washer" part 2, featuring Gunhilde the kitten

 

Hi Natty!  How's it going, Honey?  Another black hat day?  Have tons of fun OK!  Keep safe and healthy.  Aha!  I was right about that golden pear being great for ramen.  It turned into gelatin in the broth, and imparted a subtle honey-like sweetness.  My ramen was loaded today!  Alhamdullilah!  ¥1000000 a bowl!  My ramen chops are improving.  I love ramen!  My basil crop however, has perished.  I guess it's fitting because with my current finances, I won't be able to cook anything up for the next Great Pizza Day.  7 cats.  I'll try my best to get together enough cash to buy a Domino's, while you can go to a fancy pizza joint.

7 cats.  I have to drag my feet in my house, because the odds of their snagging on a cat is pretty much 1:1.  The kittens are getting too big to hog the washer anymore.  I was on the toilet seat (prime time for cat mischief) when I heard a struggling, then mass growling.  When I got out of the bathroom, the parents were staring at the washer and growling, while there was growling inside the washer as well.  Gunhilde had tried to crawl into the tub and got stuck.  Oh great.  Of course, it was 4 am.  Anna was already in the tub, but Gunhilde was stuck at the rim.  I took off the back plate of the washer, but I couldn't see her.  From the top, all I could see was her hind legs.  So I tried to stuff the legs into the crevice where she was trapped in hope that she would fall out the bottom.  She didn't, but was able to turn around and get into the tub.  Whew!  There was no way I was able to dismantle the washer to get the cat out, not even with a blowtorch or band saw.  I hope the kittens have learned that they are too big for the washer now.  I hope my washer still works.

Keely Smith

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are feeling marvelous, and keeping safe and healthy.  I'm doing OK over here it's Sunday.  I finally ran out of bananas, I ended up giving some to the birds.  Lots of birds hang around here.  Nothing is as eerie as a seagull at night, though.  I made a loaf out of the banana dough and baked it.  Then I cut it into cubes for a bite sized snack.  Works quite well, too.  Melts in my mouth.

Mary recently discovered Keely Smith, and totally fell in love with her.  So she will be singing some Keely Smith in her set when she's done absorbing the songs or rather, Mary will be singing Keely singing American standards.  InshaAllah.  Gag or novelty songs like the video above were big during the Rat Pack days, but Keely is much better at singing torch tunes.  Mary told me to list her influences again, now incorporating Keely.  You folks might think it's redundant and nobody cares, but I say it's better than Rolling Stone's list of the 200 greatest singers of all time.  So in descending order, here are Mary Unknown7's musical influences:
