Shoes!

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  I hope you are well, and everything is easy for you.  Tomorrow is the last day of fasting, and I'm so excited!  I get to drink coffee in the afternoon again, and I'm so happy!  Today is a change from ramen for dinner.  I made fried flat noodles with chicken.  I don't know what it tastes like because I'm still fasting, but I'm following a routine so inshaAllah it is a success.  I am sure you would be happy to know that over Ramadan, I acquired a deep love for fries.  I've perfected my home fries recipe, and now I'm hooked.  At 4 am for the past month, I've been eating a kilo of fries to go with my cheeseburger (gotta have meat).  I'm sure you love fries too.

I don't normally relate my dreams in this public place but this one is kind of funny, so what the hell.  I had a dream last night that the Queen of England wanted to join my band.  She auditioned by slapping her belly like a hand drum, and was really good at it too!  But she had trouble paying a riff on the left side of her pooch, so I showed her how to play it.  I explained, "It's like slapping a hawg!"  I guess she didn't quite understand because it's American.

I found a great deal on a lot of beautiful new shoes for Mary's avatar!  What serendipity!

Salted fish: Spanish mackerel

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  How's Mother's Day coming along for you?  I hope you are having a great time.  I just got done cutting the grass and making my dinner and boy, am I thirsty.  It's another 24 minutes before I can break fast.  Another 2 days of fasting, then I can drink coffee in the afternoon!  I'm so happy!  Dinner is ramen again.  I'm sorry, Honey!  I'll make a separate dinner for you but I must have my ramen, I'm so craving it!  This time I started off the soup by frying up some chopped chicken skin (for artificial bacon bits) with salted Spanish mackerel.  The salted fish isn't going into the soup, it's just for flavor.  I'm going to nibble on it later tonight as a snack.  The best part is the meat at the neck!  It's almost like powder!

Lookie's voice has changed.  It's probably from hissing at Adolf Kitler all the time.  Cat romance, huh!  Her voice has become raspier, she sounds almost like... Lily.  Lily is Adolf's sister, she died on April 29 this Ramadan.  I found them together as abandoned kittens under my mother's bedroom window last Ramadan, April 29 2020.  Lily and Adolf were really attached to each other, they really loved each other.  I'm so sorry she died, and so is Adolf.  Now Lookie's voice has changed.  She sounds like... Lily.

Hi Natty!  Happy Mother's Day!  I pray that all is well with you and your loved ones.  I'm in a state of failure today.  I overspent, so I have to live on what's in the fridge.  Which is OK alhamdulillah, because I have a lot of food right now.  Somebody gave me some cakes for the Eid including "bahulu" above.  It  tastes like cake.  I made ramen for dinner again.  I can't help it, I'm so hooked on that fish broth, I have to have more.  Today's ramen is of a different flavor this time, the flavor packet from a curry flavored ramen.  I remembered Mother's Day (Second Life reminded me), but I forgot it again when I went to clean my mother's bedroom this morning.  So my brother beat me in wishing her Happy Mother's Day.  I tried to avoid the crowd, but I had to go out shopping and Mary had to sing so that was not possible.  Anyway, I'm glad the day is almost over.  I'm going to watch TV now while I wait for them to call the prayer.  I love you!

Just another average day

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you're doing fabulous over there.  It's just another average day here for me.  I swept the house in the morning, watered the plants, collected water, then went out to buy gasoline.  The Eid is on Thursday, so I want to make sure I have everything I need to get through next weekend because everyone will be closed.  It's the holiday season over here!  I have to work everyday, so I don't have much attachment to public holidays.  But on the Eid I get to drink coffee in the afternoon, and for that I am very happy!  Alhamdulillah!

After Mary's session, I cut the grass by the side of the road again.  Then I made my dinner.  I have to use up all the fish I bought, so I'm having noodles in fish broth again.  I love ramen!  I'm quite pleased with how my soup has been turning out, so I thought I would show you the soup bubbling on the stove top.  I haven't put the noodle brick and the egg in yet.  I do that after the sunset prayer, bring the mix back to a boil then put the noodles in.  What you see up there is fish meat, tofu, seaweed, cilantro, pickled soybeans, garlic, red hot chilli pepper and a couple of big ol' squid balls boiling in fish broth.  Yeah, I've acquired the habit of putting a couple of big ol' squid balls in my soup everytime I make ramen, no matter what the flavor.  I don't know what it tastes like, because I'm still fasting.  I'm following a routine though, so inshaAllah it will be successful.  Want some?

Hi Natty!  How are you?  I hope you and your loved ones are fine and healthy.  It's been a busy day.  It's almost sunset, so I have to post and run.  Adolf Kitler is doing well alhamdulillah.  Apparently my diagnosis and treatment were correct.  Today is Friday, but before the prayer I had to drop off my mother's spit sample to the hospital lab.  After Mary's session I cut the grass in front of my mother's house, then I had to cook my dinner.  I'm not on any team, Honey.  I'm on my own.  I survived because Allah allowed me to survive.  Anyway, gotta go.  I love you!

Oops, I forgot to turn on ALM!  I wonder if anybody noticed...
