Mini pizzas

Hi Erin and Natty!  How are you?  I hope all is well with you, and you are having a fabulous time.  It's gotten back to being hot and awful again, after a stint of cool weather.  I'm guessing it's going to be a hot night as well.  I always have to take a cold shower before bed to cool down so I can sleep, I don't have air conditioning.  Have you ever sweated while still wet from a cold shower?  It happens.  I made mini pizzas for dinner today.  I had some sausage in the freezer left over from the last pizza project, the basil was nice, big and green, but I only had a couple of tortilla dough balls available.  So I made mini pizzas.  I had no marinara sauce, so I used "sambal tumis" (blended onions, chillies, and "belacan" (fermented shrimp paste) fried until saturated) and it worked just as well.  I think it was a success.  I used sliced cheese so it's not very photogenic, so no snapshots.  Even so, I think the appearance was acceptable as was the flavor.  I think these mini pizzas would be excellent food for ladies.  Very dainty.  Just don't eat 10 of them in a sitting.

HAL 9000

Hi there, my beautiful Ladies!  How are you today?  What's on the menu?  I just had chicken wings!  I love hot wings, and the wings were nice and fat today.  I made the wing sauce myself.  It had a lot of garlic in it.  Raw garlic.  Oh dear.  No more socializing today.  I wonder how garlic would fit in with married life?  It's so tasty, though.  And good for you.

Last night, I proceeded to reprogram my computer so that Mary Unknown7's singing can be heard without latency.  The computer resisted being reprogrammed all the way down to the hardware and the motherboard.  I felt as if I were in "2001: A Space Odyssey".  Finally he began cooperating when I started poking at his chassis with a screwdriver.  So I guess we reached an agreement.  And what do you know: no latency today.  Computers today think they run the world.  Maybe they do...  No, his name is not HAL.

Eat

Hi Erin and Natty!  How are you today, my lovely Ladies?  I hope everything is well with you.  I'm doing better, I just needed to take more antihistamines than usual.  Which of course put me right to sleep, so I got lots of sleep last night which is great.  Are you hungry?  I went and got some rice and chicken with double curry at the night market just now.  I hope I need not remind you that as my wives inshaAllah, you are automatically professional endorsers of food products.  So please eat, and enjoy good food.  At restaurants, or quality food from the market or supermarket.  Just avoid pig meat, carrion, blood and that which the name of other than Allah has been invoked (food laid out at idols and altars, for instance).  Before the first bite, say "In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful".

I probably need to reprogram my computer, so I may be offline tomorrow or a few days.  Maybe, maybe not.  If I am offline then Mary Unknown7 will still be singing as usual locally, folks.  InshaAllah.

Leeches

Hi there, my beautiful Ladies.  How are you feeling today?  I hope you are healthy and happy.  Today's storm brought about some allergies.  I can hear my mother sneezing next door.  It's looking like I might not be able to fight this attack of the sniffles with antihistamines, so I might have to resort to the old trick of draining my sinus cavity.  So much for modern medicine and the wonder of drugs.  We'll have to wait and see.

My computer informs me that there are a lot of leeches making recordings of Mary Unknown7's singing, so it reacts by dirtying up the signal by messing with the latency whenever it deems appropriate.  Computers these days.  They act like they run everything.  Maybe they do?  There was no latency when I put down guitar tracks this morning.  I guess I don't need to apologize, folks.

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

101.  When We substitute one revelation for another, and Allah knows best what God reveals, they say, "You are a forger," but most of them understand not.

103.  We know indeed that they say, "It is a man who teaches him."  The tongue of him they wickedly point to is notably foreign, while this is Arabic, pure and clear.

104.  Those who believe not in the Signs of Allah, Allah will not guide them, and theirs will be a grievous penalty.

105.  It is those who believe not in the Signs of Allah that forge falsehood, it is they who lie!

The white rose

Hi there, my precious Ladies!  What are you up to?  I hope you are feeling awesome, and having a fabulous time.  What's cooking over there? I just had my dinner: I ate out, had some "laksa" (rice noodles in fish broth), but I have a craving for cream of chicken soup since we talked about it yesterday, so I went out and bought a can.  It looks like I'll be eating again tonight.  Chicken soup and a movie.  Wanna join me?

I also bought a white rose plant today.  Rose plants don't flourish here because of the heat.  This particular one is very delicate, so I'm going to have to be proactive about keeping it cool.  I placed it under the shade of banana trees and the porch, so hopefully the sun never touches it.  Then I hung a spray bottle of water on the rim of the flower pot, so I can spray it down whenever I think of it or I'm in the area.  I don't expect it to live for long, but I'll try.  InshaAllah, it will have a long life.
