Chicago, Chicago... that's all I see when I check the news nowadays.  What's so happening about Chicago?  It must be a loser to live in L.A. nowadays.  What have you been up to over there, Erin?  Now remember, it's not so important that you predict the outcome of a game correctly, it's more important that you be true to your feelings, and that you stick to your decision.  You know how I feel about this?  I think you are going to be absolutely great at this.  InshaAllah.  I love you.

Confront

Hi there, my precious Ladies.  How are you feeling today?  Are you enjoying being the center of attention?  Yeah, jealous people are a nuisance to deal with.  It's a problem as old as the human race itself.  Or even older... I see cats get jealous all the time.  Oh it's an animal instinct?  So we are supposed to treat them like animals?  No, I don't think so... I guess that's part of what a spiritual path is, is to rise above what other people are/do.  But there's no sense in being a coward either.

Oh it's Tuesday, and I have to be at the mosque by sunset.  I just took a shower, and I'm drying off right now while I stand and type this letter to my wives.  I'm sticking to my diet quite well, inshaAllah.  Lunch today was ramen, while dinner was chicken nugget sandwiches.  That's a trick I learned at the restaurant, is that breaded chicken makes great sandwich filling.  We use to dip them in hot wing sauce, then make sandwiches with blue cheese.  I would prefer each element separately, but I do have my own palatable way of making breaded chicken sandwiches.  Anyway, I hope you are keeping a cool head and heart, and please accept your position as Rock and Roll royalty, and have fun adapting.  InshaAllah.

The situation

Hello there, my lovely Ladies.  How are you today?  I pray that you are living in exhilarating, comfortable and luxury circumstances.  That being the perks of being the love of an international rock star chick singer.  I do love my wives.  I wish I could be with you, but I have to work for it is my job to pay for you and take care of you.  I do my best to guide you, as Allah guides me inshaAllah, to make lots of money for yourselves, because you are my wives inshaAllah.  So please be certain of what this situation is, and give thanks to Allah.  For it is the situation that is interesting.  The music, the geography, and the love, by the Will of Allah.  I hope you are making lots of money for yourselves, and it is all your money.  I don't want any of your hard earned money.  Right now, all I have is enough money to sustain my work every day and to get bloated.  So I've been strictly guarding my eating habits.  Just 2 meals a day, and the only sugar I have is in my coffee which I drink 40 minutes into voice training.

Want some tea?  I drink so much iced tea that I've started drinking it without sugar.  But I just bought a 1.5 liter bottle of Coca-Cola.  Oh well.

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

1.  They ask you concerning the spoils of war.  Say, "Such spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the messenger.  So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves.  Obey Allah and God's messenger, if you do believe."

2.  For believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear God's Signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put their trust in their Lord.

3.  Who establish regular prayers, and spend out of the gifts We have given them for sustenance.

Nature

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my beautiful Princess?  You must be having an oh so awesome time in Bali, languishing on the tropical beach, just being and being your gorgeous self.  I wish I could be with you, but I have to stay here and work.  I hope you are having tons of fun.  Don't you be sad and blue because you are beautiful and I love you.  You're MY girl!

I like bamboo.  I have bamboo growing in my yard, which I planted 7 years ago I think.  I only keep one stick of bamboo, while I prune the rest.  I had been using hedge shears to trim the bamboo, which was a mistake.  Now there is a thicket of miniature bamboos about almost a yard high growing around the one main bamboo, all thick and tangled and mixed in with earth from over the years.  A couple of days ago I made it a project to get rid of that thicket.  First I tried pruning clippers, but the growth was too thick to even get the point through, and when it did managed to get through the texture of the bamboo would choke the pruner.  Next day I tried using a keyhole saw, but the growth would move around with the saw and I would have to hold a piece of the growth at a time to keep the saw steady, but then the saw would get stuck.  Today I discovered the most efficient way to remove the growth, was to beat the shit out of it with a heavy crowbar and the bamboo stumps would snap off, roots and all.  Brute force.  Why does nature have to be so primal?  I'm just a weak girl.

I only really like one sport

Hi Erin!  How are you feeling, my beautiful Honey?  Now don't you worry about a thing my dearest, everything is going to work out just great for us inshaAllah.  I'm sure glad that America is turning to you instead of me for sports savvy.  I hope you make lots of money for yourself.  This time when you can afford it inshaAllah, buy some real estate in your home town OK?  Do you still play loud music in the middle of the night?  I love you.

There's only one sport that I really like, and that is Ladies professional figure skating.  I'm a chick singer, OK?  I like girlie stuff.
