I'm wearing red and white today because I love my Natty

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today, you beautiful sweetheart?  I guess you are going skiing, I hope you keep safe and have a wonderful time.  That ski attire campaign was very intelligently produced, and you were perfectly cast as model.  They couldn't have made it more perfect.  Red and white!  I will be wearing red and white too, for a couple of days.

My day is the usual as usual.  I did chores in the morning, and went to the night market in the evening.  I bought some fry cakes and soybean milk there.  Floofy seems to be improving inshaAllah and alhamdulillah.  She's still weak, so her healing might take some time.  Ya Allah, please heal and protect my kitties.  I'm feeling somewhat tired.  Singing well is definitely not easy, but I am grateful to Allah for the music.  Anyway, I'm going to the mosque.  You take care, and don't upset your tummy this holiday season.

Aw

Aw Natty.  Aw Princess.  Aw Doggy.  You look like a young matriarch, Natty.  Everything looks so clean, so fastidious, so wealthy.  Don't get me a present for Christmas.  Muslims don't celebrate Christmas.  Muslims celebrate Ramadan, and the 2 Eids.  Please don't forget that.  Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) was strict about cleanliness and hygiene, but there is no mention of his actually ever doing any house cleaning.  I assume his wives took care of that.  I'm forced to do house cleaning.  Just because I'm forced to do it, doesn't mean that I'm good at it.  Judging from the motion blur, that dog doesn't seem to want to be petted.  His loss, huh?

Sunday is PINK!  Hey, why are you wearing black?  I thought pink was the new black.  Or is black the new pink, and no one told me?  Those are glass shoes I'm wearing, with wings!  Cool huh?  I bet you never wore glass shoes before.  I'll be wearing red and white for the next 2 days.  Because I love Natty.

Meanwhile

Oh, Sri Lanka.  So near, yet so far away.  That is an awesome family photo.  It's probably the best family photo of yours to date.  It seems that you will be with your family this holiday season.  Will you be going back to the cold and snow?  That must be quite a change, after that generous family vacation in the sunshine.  Did you visit the blue whale colony?  Blue whales are regarded by some to be very spiritual creatures.  That area is also close to the Andaman Sea, where you would find some deep sea trenches.  Anyway, I wish you and you beautiful family a wonderful holiday season.  Thank you for your love.

Meanwhile, Floofy has been ill.  There has been pus leaking out of her cervix, and she has been very weak lately.  Apparently she has a bacterial infection of her uterus.  However, she has been responding well to antibiotics, and the vet said that her condition is not advanced, alhamdilillah.   Removal of the uterus would solve the problem but since she is responding well to antibiotics, I won't go that direction yet.  I'm going to need kittens, I'm running out of cats.  Allah has been after my cats lately, maybe I'm about to get a lesson in love.

Doutzen is my cat

Hi Natty.  How are you feeling today?  What's going on with you?  I'm sure you are very busy.  Please make sure you get plenty of rest, and that you eat adequately.  Please pray.  I always think of you.  You are my wife inshaAllah, and I love you.

I can't afford to marry right now, but I do have some cats to keep me company.  Last night, Doutzen was in heat so after I came home from the night prayer, I took her in my arms, said "BismillahirRahmanirRahim" (in the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Forgiving), and released her outside to find a mate.  She's already over 4 years old, and I thought that the darkness of the night would help protect her.  But Doutzen didn't come home.  The last I heard her, she was busy doing her job, wandering around the compound and crying out to attract a mate, like cats do.  From what I gather from the neighbors, she was taken by some local teenage boys.  Knowing how teenage boys are all over the world, it means that she's dead.  The local community seems to know who the culprits are, but to me that's the most useless information in the world.  What am I going to do with them, the same thing they did to my cat?  The only thing I can do is to let it go, and leave Allah to take care of them.  This incident means that all my indoor cats are in danger from the humans, and must never leave the house.  I'm going to have to find a male kitten/s and raise it indoors to become their mate.  From Allah is our origin, and to Allah is our return.
