Sing

Singing is not just a physical ability, but also a gift from God.  It should make sense that Janis Joplin's voice would come from a small woman from Texas, but we should also wonder why God gave the voice to Janis and not some other small woman from Texas.  Other physical conditions are like being in shape and healthy, and not making mistakes like drinking a cup of ice cold coffee right in the middle of the set (which I did today, so I had to warm up all over again: I'll have to start leaving my coffee to cool down at room temperature, if I could figure out a way so the ants don't get it).  Then there is the emotional connection- you have to mean what you say, otherwise it would sound wrong.  This is also true when reading the Qur'an: there has to be sincerity.  Therefore singing well is both skill and sincerity.  And only Allah can make the dead to speak.

I wanted to make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, but the supermarket was out of spaghetti!  I guess the only pasta the locals understand is spaghetti.  They were also out of linguini.  I didn't want to drive all the way downtown just for spaghetti, so I made fettuccine and meatballs instead.  It was nice.  I would have rather had spaghetti, though.

Also, you may notice that I had a wardrobe meltdown right in the middle of dancing last night.  What was supposed to be a gold outfit turned out to be badly made, so I had to switch to a black skirt.  I had to change the shoes, too.  I hate having a wardrobe dilemma right when I'm trying to work.  At least I didn't have any problems changing clothes.

 

 

 

 

 

Hi Honey

How's it going today?  How's business?  It's just another average same old day for me.  I vacuum cleaned my Mom's house and scrubbed her front porch this morning.  Yeah I do house cleaning, but I'm not good at it, and I have so much other stuff to do.  I've started eating only 2 meals a day lately.  I find that preparing and eating breakfast is so time consuming, plus I could lose some weight, and become lean and mean.  Right?  Ha!  I've decided to stop eating heavy lunches, because I feel the best when I have noodles and soup or similarly light dishes for lunch.  Then for dinner, I eat something very satisfying.  So for lunch, I cooked up the Spanish mackerel bones and head that I kept in the freezer for soup, separated the meat from the bones, then added rice vermicelli with some veggies.  Dinner was a couple of deep fried calzones, or folded over pizzas.  Want one?

Hey hey hey Nattikins, how are you , you beautiful girl?  You are awfully quiet lately.  I guess you are super crazy busy, living the glamorous life, and forgetting about little old me.  Well, I always think of you.  I always think about my wife, she is my future.  Would you like a calzone?  Lots of pizza and greasy Italian food on the menu this week.  Oooh, I need to buy some spaghetti.  Well you make sure you get plenty of rest, and drink lots of water.  Please pray.

 

 

 

 

Yes ma'am

Hi Honey!  How are you?  I'm OK, just a little tired so I slept early last night and slept in this morning, plus took a nap before voice training.  Almost 8 hours sleep!  I completed my daily chores early- it rained yesterday, so I didn't have to water all of the plants.  Then I did some shopping for my Mom, then she wanted me to trim a papaya tree.  Papaya trees are much easier to cut than coconut trees.  After that, I finally got around to making a batch of my home made halal beef spicy beef sausage.  Perfect for pizza, nice and fresh.  For dinner I made 3 pizzas, one for my parents and 2 for me and you.  I was tempted to eat them both, but decided to save one for later.

Hi Natty honey!  Living the high life?  Keep your feet on the ground, sweetie.  Want some pizza?  I made sausage and basil pizza, thick crust!  It's really awesome, if you like pizza.  I love pizza!  Especially now that I don't have to work in a restaurant anymore.  I've managed to duplicate or better my results from the restaurant to making pizza at home, and without a professional oven.  Sorry folks, this pizza is for family only.

 

 

 

 

 

Comedy

Hi Honey!  Oooh, looks like you're going about town.  I hope you are having lots of fun.  I love comedy too.  I'm not a comedian, if I joke around it's most likely because it goes with the flow, and joking around is definitely not something I can do as a career.  I don't know how comedians can stand it everyday.  That's because reality isn't very funny.  Being an adult isn't very funny.  Growing old isn't funny whatsoever.  I liked Gallagher, I used to think he was funny.  I was going to post his appearance on the Tonight Show, but I couldn't find it- well, not the one I wanted anyway.  But when he got older, I didn't think he was funny anymore.  Do you notice that, comics getting too cynical when they get older, then start blaming God for everything and stuff like that?  Sure I disagree with that, but mostly because they are very unfunny when they do that.

Hey Natty, you are looking super cool today.  Cool shades too, but I think they would be cooler without that bar across the top.  Are you keeping warm?  This week's project is pizza, and you're more than welcome to have some of my pizza!  I made marinara sauce just now.  Oh my God, time has become so cramped for me.  This evening I had so much to do in the kitchen, that I had no time to cook my dinner.  Ironic, huh?  So I bought some rice takeout.  I'm still not done, tomorrow I have to make spicy sausage but it's looking like thick crust pizza for dinner tomorrow!  InshaAllah!  Come have dinner with me!

 

 

A break

Ho Honey!  How's it going?  I assume you are very busy right now, so please eat properly and get enough rest.  I've run out of data for this billing period, so you're not going to find me on Second Life today.  I think I'll watch a movie tonight.  I think I'll watch "Hero".  You know, that choreographed Chinese martial arts flick.  Sure looks cool.

Hey Natty, super crazy busy, huh?  Well don't be a such a big rush!  Slow things down as much as you can, so you can enjoy these exciting times.  I always think of you and check up on you, so please talk to me often.  Be safe and drink lots of water.

That male fish killed 5 females in 2 days with his libido.  So I went out and bought him 3 females that were at least his size.  We'll see what happens.  I have no idea how the last 2 survived him.  God's Will, I guess.

Fishbowl

That is our life.  That is the life of me and my family.  We live in a fishbowl.  We live within the confines of our area and our routine, while the world peers in and watches us do our routine.  Some of them think they are God, and tap on the glass and stir the water, but they are not God.  That is why you must pray, so God will cover our shortcomings and tangle them up with their own actions.  InshaAllah.

How are you, my love?  It's the start of the holiday season, and I expect you are going to be busy.  Your bosses are going to be very happy with you, because you are going to make them a lot of money InshaAllah.  Just by being my girl.  It rained all day here today, which is OK with me because I have no need to go anywhere at this time, and I love cool weather.  I made sushi again for dinner.  I LOVE sushi.  But I'm out of fish.  I had the skin of the fish left, which had some flesh stuck on it due to my inefficient filleting, so I scraped off what I could then pan fried the skin in butter until it was crispy.  I made sushi out of that.  It was saltier and not as good as the actual fillet, but still tasty.  I'm officially all sushied out for now: I have 4 seaweed sheets left, but I'll use that for soup or something.  Today's decoration is more squarish.  People wonder that since I always cut my sushi into 24 portions why I don't arrange in multiples of 3 or 6.  That's because I have 8 inner portions (or the tips of the roll), which leaves me 16 outer portions.  That's just my style of cutting sushi, and therefore my way of arranging it on a plate.  Want some sushi?  It will be the last for a while.

Hey Natty, how's it going?  Oh you are so very excited today, I can tell!  Lots of energy, literally bouncing off the walls!  Well, put your energy into productive channels, and please keep safe OK?  You are a princess, and people know who you are and how beautiful you are, so please don't take your position for granted.  Granted, you can't take everything too seriously, but you must take God seriously.  Have fun in the meanwhile OK?

The situation has become tragic in my guppy fishbowl.  Before I bought that male fish, I had 7 females (not 8, that was my error), and they lived an uneventful life, quietly floating at the surface of the water most of the time.  Then the big and powerful male came into their lives, and they all became focused on mating.  The male fish was always ready and active, and the females suddenly were busy around the clock in order to keep up with him.  They were competing with each other, and constantly approaching or being approached by him.  So 3 of the biggest females have died of exhaustion.  He literally fucked them to death.  The rest of them stayed alive because they were too small, and he had no interest in them.  Until now.  Bah.  It looks like I'm going to have to buy some females that are strong enough to cope with his lust.  From Allah is our origin, and to Allah is our return.

 

 

 

Scary!

Eeeek!   That's a scary expression on your face, Erin.  It brings forth ancient emotions that reminisce the primordial ooze made of amino acids becoming proteins which constitute the basis of all life.  Now don't get me wrong: you are beautiful and I love you deeply.   Help!  I can't keep up with her!  Give me more Viagra!  It has remained oh so nice and cool throughout this full moon period.  Cool weather makes me calm and happy.  It took a few days for the rain to come down, and today it rained heavily.  I couldn't do yard work, so I decided to enjoy an early dinner.  Sushi, of course!  Oh my God, I love sushi.  That's the advantage of buying a big fish, is that I get to eat sushi for days.  Ya Allah, thank You for the knowledge and bounty that You have provided me.  Of course I had to lock up the cats in the kitty litter room if I didn't want vicious beasts climbing all over me while I make sushi, but I had to make a batch of dough first.  However the cats went completely bonkers over my dough, but my hands were covered in dough and all I could do is dodge attacks while I completed the task.  After my hands were freed, I made sushi.  I think I made a nice design this time.  I was trying for a 6 pointed star, but my portions were dividable by 8 or 4, but oh well.  I think it's pretty.   Want some sushi?

How about you Natty, do you like sushi?  I LOVE sushi, but it really depends on the quality of the fish.  I've had sushi 3 out of the last 4 days already, and I can't do that with plain old mackerel.  Say, that is a very regal portrait of you.  You look like a princess.  My Rock and Roll Princess.  These are exciting times, huh?  Please have tons of fun, but keep safe and don't forget God.

That male guppy has been working 24/7.  I go to sleep at midnight and there he was, doing his little dance for the females.  I get up at 4:30 am to do some extra worship before the dawn prayer and there he was, doing his little dance for the females.  He doesn't seem to stop.  Doesn't he get tired?  When it was feeding time, he was the only one who ate anything.  The females have been interested in only one thing since he arrived.  All of them, including the smallest ones.
