 In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

77.  Haven't you turned your vision to those who were told to restrain their hands, but establish regular prayers and spend in regular charity?  When the order for fighting was issued to them, behold!  A section of them feared humans as, or even more than, they should have feared Allah.  They said, "Our Lord!  Why have You ordered us to fight?  Would You not grant us respite to our term, soon?"  Say, "Short is the enjoyment of this world.  The hereafter is the best for those who do right: never will you be dealt with unjustly in the very least!"

78.  Wherever you are, death will find you out, even if you are in towers built up strong and high!  If some good befalls them they say, "This is from Allah."  But if evil they say, "This is from you."  Say, "All things are from Allah."  But what has come to these people that they fail to understand a single fact?

The big deal again

 

Ooh Honey I'm sorry, I messed up.  The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in Cleveland!  It goes to show how apathetic I've become towards travel.  And towards awards.  But it's a good thing you are young enough to enjoy that aspect of your work.  You are now the ambassador of the United States to the rest of the world, even though you're Canadian!  I had to manipulate my work so I would stay put in one place, so I can be with my wife and family 24/7.  Rather, I followed the orders God gave me by inspiration so alhamdulillah.  But why Cleveland?  I don't understand that.

My cats have been very pleased with my quick fix solutions, in particular my roast beef.  I don't give them any of the meat (they live such a good life, I'm afraid they might get obese) but they wait enthusiastically to lick the frying pan when I'm done reheating the stuff.  Next up is beans.  I can't find pinto beans here, but red beans are close enough.  At first, I wanted to cook them until they mush like the refried beans in cans that we find at US grocery stores.  But I stopped short of that, because I've yet to add the flavoring.  I want to keep it vegetarian, then use meat as a separate element to my quick meal.  Fry up a burger then reheat the beans then wolf them down, you know what I mean?  I'm thinking to flavor the beans with diced onions, curry spices with blended pickled soybeans and green hot chilli peppers.  What do you think of that?  I don't think the cats would be interested in the beans, though.

Pomegranate

 Natty, you are as pretty as a picture!  At first I thought that was Amsterdam, then I found out that it's Milwaukee.  I've never been to neither!  You're blessed to be a high-fashion model.  Isn't that where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located?  Did you go there?  Oh, I love that mirror round thingy in the 5th photo!  That would make a nice home decoration, don't you agree?  So how did your brother do in that sports event?  Best wishes!

I went out this evening to buy a pomegranate.  I came home with a pomegranate, 3 kilos of mangosteens, 3 kilos of potatoes, 2 kilos of red onions, 200g of green hot chilli peppers, 2 kilos of cooking oil, and a can of tomato puree.  Actually it was either dates or pomegranates.  Dates are easier to find, but I don't like dates.  Ya Allah, please forgive me!  I know your Prophet (peace be on him) loved dates, but I can't stand them!  They hurt my teeth!  So I opted for a pomegranate.  Want some?  Open your mouth wide and I'll toss some in there!

Miniskirts!

 I love miniskirts!  Pink and yellow!  You look absolutely marvelous, my darling.  Such gorgeous legs.  Don't snap too hard now, you might hurt someone including yourself.

Saturday is gown day, so Mary didn't wear a mini today.  She loves minis too, especially because she can't wear them in real life.

Pouty girl

 Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are feeling great, and enjoying yourself.  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart, and I miss you deeply.  Oh, I got my water supply back.  It was a trickle, but since I hold it in a reservoir then it's not an issue.  Unless of course the pressure is too low, and the water level won't rise above the window sill where the hose goes in.  It was like that at first, then the pressure inched ever so slightly that the water barely made it into my reservoir.  Phew!  So I managed to do my laundry along with all other daily water chores.  I don't think most other folks were that blessed.  I'm sure the water supply has gone back to normal by the time I post this blog.  I don't know.  I haven't checked.

So what do you think of Mary's avatar's new skin?  I like it a lot.  I think it's intense.  The problem is that the avatar has lost a lot of its expressiveness.  This is because the smiles don't look good anymore.  The avatar only looks great when she doesn't smile, which makes Mary a pouty girl.  Well, Mary IS a pouty girl because of all the love songs she has to sing.  If I wanted the avatar to have a cheerful demeanor, then I would have to switch back to the previous skin.  But pouty is good in this case, I think.  It just SO intense looking.

Love the skin you're in

 Hi Natty!  How are you today?  Are you doing well, my love?  I hope you are.  It's a hot day here today.  Plus there's no running water.  There hasn't been any since yesterday.  I don't have any running water in my house period, so I keep a reservoir in my bathroom, which means I probably have more water than other folks do.  Which isn't much, really.  I think I have enough for 4 more flushes, one shower, and possibly 24 hours of prayer ablution inshaAllah.  So I'm holding in the pee as much as I can.  I haven't added cooking water in there, but I'm pretty good at conserving that.  Honey, we absolutely have to put a water tank on the roof of your house inshaAllah.  Which means there has to be some sort of flat surface on the roof.  Which means a hobbit house is out of the question.

Mary got a pretty big tip recently, so I used the Lindens to buy her avatar a new skin.  Do you like it?

Less labor

 Wow Natty, that is a sexy photo.  You are so beautiful, my love!  And that dress, I would love to see it all.  I hope that you're doing well over there, and all is easy going for you.  I love you with all of my heart.  I just got done with dinner after cutting the grass, and my left arm is shaking.  My arms usually shake after cutting the grass, because the weed whacker spins fast and my hands have to control it.  But I need to cut back on as much labor as possible.  There's no one else to cut the grass or clean house for my mother, so those can't be avoided.  What's left is cooking, so I am cutting back on that.  I'm eating takeout more, and preparing bulk amounts of quick fixes whenever I do cook.  Less labor cooking, less labor eating, and less labor cleaning up.  There's also less creativity in the kitchen.  I have so much computer work to do.
