Ah... miso

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  Are you still at your tropical paradise?  Please show us what you're eating!  It's Sunday here today.  It's busy all day as usual.  I did some shopping in the evening, then I made a batch of cat food and my dinner.  I made chicken chow mein with a miso base for my dinner.  That last batch of miso that I made was so good.  That was over a month ago I think, and I still have some left over.  It's so smooth, and it finally picked a tiny bit of mold after over a month.  The crazy thing about soybeans is that mold makes it taste better!  You have to scrape off the mold first though.  The miso makes the fried noodles extra thick and rich.  I did have to add some MSG though, I can't seem to get away from that stuff.  No, I didn't eat the whole wok.  You want some?

Mango sauce

Yes Honey, I'm smiling!  I'm smiling!  Look at me, can't you see that I'm smiling?!!!

That extra toothpaste can't be too bad for you.  Makes you cleaner!  I ate too much today.  I usually have a modest lunch, like a bowl of ramen.  But today I cooked a pot of rice to go with spicy eggplant and fried eggs, and I ate the whole lot.  I don't know why I cooked so much.  I made a big dinner, too.  I turned a whole kilo of potatoes into home fries to go with my chicken tenders.  I didn't eat the whole lot this time, I got stuffed quickly.  I can turn the home fries into curry pup stuffing, no problem.  And I gave some of the chicken tenders to the cats.  Yeah, they ate high on the hog tonight!  Well, chicken tenders.  Lookie doesn't fight for her snacks anymore, so I threw Lily's and Adolf's share to the far reaches of the house while I gave Lookie her piece.  But Adolf Kitler came scrambling back still chewing his piece of chicken, that he had to spit it out so he could steal Lookie's snack.  No big deal, she just ate the rest of Adolf's chicken.  Adolf, don't be a Nazi!
Harumanis mangoes are pretty tasty.  I happened to have a few early fruit, so I thought I would experiment with them.  My sweet mango pickle was a failure.  It turned into moonshine, so I had to chuck the whole lot away.  Today I made a spicy mango sauce.  I remember back in Tempe, there was this hot sauce store on Mill Avenue that had a great spicy mango sauce, so I thought I would try to make something like that.  I kept it simple, just mangoes, rehydrated chillies, and some sugar.  It was OK, it wasn't a failure, but it's not as great as my bitter bean hot sauce.  It didn't really go with the fries, but it went better with the chicken tenders.

Comedy

Natty, that looks wonderful!  Oh, a tropical paradise!  How glamorous and luxurious!  Oh, the life of a fabulous supermodel!  It's tropical over here, but I'm not at the beach.  There are tropical beaches nearby, but I have work to do here.  It's Friday here today.  I swept the house and porch, did the best I can, considering what a slob I am.  It looks OK, but it's windy today so all the junk will come back.

I made ramen for lunch today.  I love ramen!  I made a fish and seaweed broth today, and it was successful.  I'm so set in my ramen technique, that Adolf Kitler perches on the stove top and meditates at me while I eat.  I suppose I could share my ramen routine, but you know how people are.  They will try to thank me by killing me or something, so instead I chose something from YouTube that people could follow.  They use pork here, but you folks can just use beef, chicken or lamb bones it should turn out quite well.  I don't need it.  I have my own routine.

Google sent me a movie clip of "Final Girls" today, and I thought I saw your brother in that.  Yes, it was him all right.  He's not a comedic actor, is he?  He's probably too serious for comedy.  I'm not offering any advice, he should know his own business.  I don't laugh much anymore, I gotten too serious perhaps.  When's the last time I really laughed?  Oh, it was at this guy who talked to the cops like a cop!

Black and white

Yes Honey, 7 is my number.  It's the number of the lone wolf, and the wolf seeks a mate.  I don't believe in luck, though.  I believe in God.

The usual stream wasn't working today, so I had to switch to the backup stream.  I hope you folks know to do that when the situation arises.  I expect this to be an ongoing problem for now, so if both streams don't work please check this blog for a new stream address.

Mary makes a great looking man, right?  A man who looks great in a mini skirt with garter belt, suspenders and stockings.  Yet still look masculine.  No such thing!  Maybe.  She even has that Clint Eastwood squint going!  Today's snapshots are really sexy, and I'm quite pleased with them.  I had a hard time getting her chin to stop colliding with that high collar, but I did my best.

Trying to be nice

Aw Natty, bags under your eyes.  Those days are over, right?  Nowadays it's just day to day, I guess.  The more things change, the more they stay the same.  Yes Honey, it is lonely at the top.  That's why we come together, in a world full of strangers.  And we are strangers, until we come together.

Yeah, I'm sure I can make my own "laksa."  To me, it's just rice noodles in fish broth.  People add leaves and vegetables to regard it as special, but it still tastes like rice noodles in fish broth.  But why bother making it myself when it's a common dish, I can just buy it from the locals.  I prefer ramen, though.  I can even make ramen in fish broth if I want.

Oh no, my sweet mango pickle turned into moonshine!  I had to throw the whole lot away.  I don't drink alcohol!

Tuesday

Hi Natty!  How's your day coming along?  I hope all is well with you, and you are feeling good.  It's Tuesday over here for me.  I spent the morning doing housekeeping.  I tried out those dust bags on my obsolete vacuum cleaner.  I had to rig it to fit, but it did work.  Slightly.  I need a new vacuum cleaner.  Or maybe I should just get aggressive with the broom?  I don't know.  I hate housecleaning.  I'll do what I'm forced to, but that's it.  I also had to clean the reservoir in my bathroom.  The tap water here is not for drinking.  I don't recommend that people wash their crotches with it either.  It's full of fungus.  Use toilet paper, people!  It's not just here though.  I think tap water everywhere is full of fungus, but the people who use toilet paper don't notice.  At first I wanted to cut grass in the evening, but I went to the pet shop instead.  I also bought some toilet paper on my way back, and ate out for dinner.  "Laksa".  It's noodles in soup, but fishy soup.  Eating less is good for you, but don't overdo it.  Anyway, gotta shower.  I love you!

Dust bags

Hi Natty!  Happy International Woman's Day!  How are you feeling today?  I hope you are able to avoid using other people's bathrooms.  It takes some getting used to, and some planning.  Yeah it sucks, life in the Public Eye sucks.  But what really sucks is life on this earth when compared to heaven.  But we have to be grateful with what Allah gives us.

It got busy for me this evening.  I had to go to the night market, but I also had to go to the big supermarket on the other side of downtown to get some dust bags for my obsolete vacuum cleaner.  I knew I saw some from the corner of my eye the last time I was there and sure enough, I found some.  Not the same brand, not the same fit, the hole is smaller, and it cost me 20 bucks.  I saw some vacuum cleaners with dust bags on sale there.  I took a dust bag out of one of them and showed to the clerk and I asked, "Do you sell these?"  He said, "No."  I said, "So you sell the vacuum cleaners but not the dust bags?"  I didn't wait for a reply.  It looks like they do sell dust bags online, but I need it now.  And that's another advantage brick and mortar stores have over online shopping.  Then I had to go to the night market and buy fish, "satay", and my dinner.
