Keow teow kerang

 

Hi Grace!  Are you feeling OK?  Things have been manically paced lately on both sides of the world, so I hope you know how to give your heart a break.  After all, you're not under any contractual obligations or deadlines, not any I'm aware of at least.  Time should be on your side so act like a boss Honey, and let them know that you do business according to your own pace and comfort.

I'm spending these days in the kitchen.  I ate other people's cooking for a month, and I really miss my own cooking.  Sure I'm grateful alhamdulillah (praise God), but I've had enough.  Today, I fried up some "Keow teow kerang" (flat noodles with cockles).  Cockles aka blood clams is risky food.  That's because they love sewage.  But the flavor is so thick that humans love to eat them.  I have to make sure they're cooked thoroughly twice, and not eat too much.  This type of recipe is best when the quality is slightly above average.  That's because the goal is a familiar flavor.

Happy Eid to Muslims everywhere!  This means the fasting month is over, and I get to drink coffee in the afternoon again.  I thought about giving up coffee since I didn't need it for a whole month but nah, I decided against that.  I will treat coffee like a medicine: I'll take it when I need it.

Looks like you're doing young people things...  Seems like fun!  I got a different scene here, lots of death.  But I'm OK.

More than you can chew

 

When you bite off more than you can chew, hide in your bedroom, Grace.  Tell them to pay attention to me, and I will distract them.  Send them to me, and I will deal with them.  Sure, it's Rock and Roll.  Ride the snake, and whatever.  But you don't know what to do nor how to act.  Don't fake your way through.  When you get overwhelmed, send them my way and say, "I am his wife inshaAllah".

Again, don't fake it.  Be sincere even with your mouth full of food.

Hi Grace!  It's marvelous that you hung out with Dave Stewart.  You're meeting all my teenage music heroes while I will never meet a single one.  That's my fault, I guess.

I'll bet you do a lot of jazz odyssey jamming with Mary, I know I would.  That big, clunky guitar is suited for blues and jazz.  You should do a new guitar collection video.

Controlled burning

 

Ugh, I don't feel good.  Well, Ramadan is almost over and I can get back to feeding myself.  Say, that's twice the stream got cut off.  Twitch is supposed to be very stable.  My source tells me someone's doing it on purpose, probably someone familiar with the service.  Not much I can do about it now Honey, but keep an eye on it and reconnect as quickly as possible.  Let's wait and see until I need to come up with a different solution.

Grace, that view outside your window looks like a potential fire hazard.  You probably don't know how to tidy it up and do preventive burning.  At least install some sprinklers to keep the area wet.
