Fried quiche

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  Good business, I expect.  Keep it up Honey, and keep safe and healthy.  Yeah, it's business as usual here today for me I guess.  I don't have any money, though.  I did have a big dinner, so alhamdullilah.  Oh, nothing special.  Just a wok full of pasta.

I've been watching a lot of street food videos, and I saw this Taiwanese guy whip up some scrambled eggs with oysters and veggies then stuffing that into a bun than frying it up.  They didn't show what it looked like after being cut open, probably because it was foul.  But it did give me an idea about how to make a quiche without having to use the oven, plus use less eggs.  They built the bun in a bowl then poured the egg mix in it, and closed it up.  Then they fried it seam first, so as to harden that area.  Then they put the whole thing in the deep fryer.  I spent 4 eggs, closed it up and fried the seam first.  Then I just flipped it over.  There was egg oozing out of the imperfections, and I was afraid I would get a soft boiled omelet.  But it hardened OK, and I served it with home made hot sauce.  You can see in the photo how thick the seam was.  I gave that part to the cats, they loved it.  Baked quiche is superior, because it's smoother.  I don't want to spend 10 eggs at a time, though.

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are having a great time being you.  You're MY girl!  I love you with all of my heart.  Please keep safe and healthy in your adventures.  Yes, I know I'm running late.  It was a hectic evening.  I just got back from sunset prayer and I had to finish my dinner.  It was a busy morning too, but I guess that was my fault for waking up late.  Ah, yes.  Sleeping in is a nice compensation for not having any money.  I had to do laundry, and I usually stew my ramen broth at the same time because it takes a long time.  I also made a fresh batch of hot sauce.  Anna cranked up the fire on the hot sauce to maximum when I wasn't looking.  Hey, make your own hot sauce Anna!

Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  I hope everything is A-OK for you over there, and you are having tons of fun.  Say hi to your family for me, and keep safe and healthy.  I'm doing OK.  I'm having trouble finding filtered water for drinking.  I guess it's hard to keep those filters clean and still make a profit.  I might have to resort to tap water... ugh!  Coffee hides the taste of tap water, but it doesn't work for tea.

I went out to buy cat food today, and I also picked up some lentils and potatoes.  I have a lot of ketchup left.  Sure, I can make fries.  But I made a batch of dough yesterday, and I wanted to make a fries-like product using dough and mashed potatoes.  I took the sardines rolls concept and used mashed potatoes instead of sardines.  So I came up with er... potato balls?  It's like crispy buns with mashed potato filling?  Not curry pups with plain potato filling, more tater-totty than that.  Yes, it goes well with ketchup.  Needs fine tuning, so I call it a limited success.  Alhamdulillah.
