Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  Were you waiting for me?  I'm waiting for you!  That's because I love you lots.  I just got back from sunset prayer at the mosque.  I already had my dinner.  I cut the grass in the evening, so I prepared the curry pups in the morning.  I individually wrapped the curry pups to be fried up after I cut the grass.  Don't worry Honey, all the plastic bags were recycled.  Ach!  I'm always out of time!

Rambo is 4 months old now.  I have decided that she's female, "Jane Rambo" I guess.  I don't know what I was looking at when I thought she was a boy when she was a preemie.  But she's definitely a girl, and will be going into her first heat anytime soon.  That means I will need to isolate her away from her father because he's a very horny kitty.  He's a beast folks, that's his excuse.  What's yours?  Lookie moved the babies into my kitchen.  The whole brood, right under the kitchen counter where I park my chair.  You know what would happen if I moved them somewhere else?  She would put them all back into the kitchen.  Stubborn!  I thought only males are stubborn.  Right, Natty?  Anyway, they were wandering all over the place so I put them in the plastic crib that I used to raise Rambo, and put it back under the kitchen counter.  I took the time to check their gender.  2 boys and 2 girls.  I'm not going to name them yet, I'll wait until they get bigger.

Just another ginger spice

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are having a fabulous time over there, and keeping yourself safe and healthy.  I'm doing OK over here, it's just another average day for me.  I didn't have any pressing chores or appointments thank God, so I spent the most of the day in the kitchen.  I made a batch of dough in the morning, also cooked up some rice for my fried rice dinner, then made ramen.  I love ramen!

I went out to buy some vegetables yesterday evening, and I scored some cabbage, carrots and cauliflower.  The guy threw in some "lengkuas" (galangal) for free, which is basically a harder and spicier ginger.  Galangal can grow like mad around here, but the locals only use it in select dishes.  A lot of different herbs and spices grow in this area, but the locals don't experiment with them, which I think is a shame. So I threw in some galangal in to the blender along with ginger, seaweed, onion, and cauliflower stems.  I had brewed all that in my ramen broth, which included a thick fish bone and a beef nail.  I couldn't put the fish bone in the blender, but the nail had unraveled from being stewed 5 times already for ramen broth.  The gel was popping out, so I put that in the blender along with the soup.  I had to strain the mixture, but the result was a beautiful white broth as you can see in the photo below.  It looks milky, but it tastes like beef broth.  Do you like ramen, Honey?  I have a feeling that you do.

School holidays

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  I hope you are well and everything is going smoothly for you.  I'm doing OK, it's been a busy day.  I cleaned my mother's bedroom in the morning as usual on Sunday, then in the evening I went out and bought a few groceries.  It sounds like nothing, but my day was packed.  I still have to do dishes from dinner, it was spaghetti again.  Oh no, my basil is dying.  I only got to harvest it twice, what did I do wrong?  I'm going to have to replant it, meaning less spaghetti.  At least with the home made sauce.  I still have a couple of jars of the generic supermarket stuff.

It's the school holidays right now, so there a a few extra kids in town.  They have 3 weeks off, then start school again in January.  After that, they have a little bit left of the term to go through before the school year ends in March, I think.  The end of the school year used to be December, then the Covid happened.  It looks like the kids got bumped back 3 months, but the Covid scare was 2 years, right?  I'm pretty sure the schools got shut down longer than 3 months.  I don't know.  I'm neither a student nor a teacher.

Sundays are supposed to be black for Mary's avatar, but I forgot again.  I guess it's going to be Black Mondoy tomorrow.  Mary's outfit is:

What do moose eat to get so huge?  Obviously, they didn't have to leave Canada and go graze in the desert.  It used to be that the wealthy got rich off the people in their own country, and if they had wanted to exploit other countries, they would have gotten there on ships.  Nowadays they can fly or just use the Internet to suck the world dry to stockpile their personal wealth and cause global inflation.  No Honey, I'm not telling you to go home and eat like a moose.  Go ahead and stay in Cali.  I just want you to see that your being in Cali is circumstantial, it doesn't matter where you are to succeed.  You have what you have now because God gave it to you.

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  Do you love me?  I love you!  I hope you are having an awesome time over there, and keeping yourself safe and healthy.  It must be cold, so bundle up.  It's a cold day here today, but I prefer this over the tropical heat so alhamdulillah.  I'm munching on curry pups right now.  Want one?  With extra creamy filling!  Ugh, those sardines rolls last night gave me heartburn.  It's been a long time since I last had heartburn, years perhaps.  I forgot what it's like, I don't miss it that's for sure.  Dammit, those sardine rolls were really tasty though!  I think putting my hot chilli oil in there was the problem.
