Sambal petai cheeseburger

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  How is your exciting life?  Please stay safe, and guard your health.  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart.  I had to go downtown in the morning, and mingle with the crowd at the bank.  What to do, I had to make a deposit to pay bills.  They were quite organized there though, and practiced social distancing.  It's the stuffy, crowded areas we need to avoid.

I was feeling adventurous for dinner.  I still have a lot of bread so I'm still in cheeseburger mode, but... I discovered a long time ago that "sambal belacan" (hot sauce made from chillies and "belacan"(fermented shrimp paste)) and melted cheese was a perfect match.  But I happened to have hot sauce with "petai" (bitter beans) in my cooler.  I was dying to try this experiment.  It's not for the faint hearted though, "petai" is kind of stinky going in and going out, but it really cranks up the flavor of rice dishes in particular.  I loved it on my cheeseburger, I wanted to put more.  No I don't think you would like this, Natty.

Real cheeseburger vs soy cheeseburger

 Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope you are having a great time, and keeping safe and healthy.  I'm doing OK over here, just the usual going on.  I blew the dust out of my house in the morning, and cleaned the reservoir.  Lunch was rice with curry and poached eggs.  The females are too much to deal with when they are in heat, so I kept them in the kitty litter room while I was cooking.  So Adolf Kitler was my kitchen buddy all day.  He loves being my kitchen buddy, and I pamper him.  I have to be watchful though, because he likes to stick his tail in the fire.  He has a fluffy tail, I guess he's too macho for it and wants to burn it off.  I made a real cheeseburger vs. a soy cheeseburger for dinner.  I actually prefer sliced bread for cheeseburgers (softer), but I had to travel further to get it- the sundry shop didn't have any bread at all.  The grocer was closed too, so I didn't have lettuce and tomatoes.  I really must buy an electric mixer for making mayo, the blender is just too harsh to use.  Soy meat takes a long time to cook, because you have to generate a crusty exterior.  Plus keep it oiled up, because it really sticks to the pan.  Perhaps I should use oil not water for my next batch of soy meat.  I used real cheese.  I don't like soy cheese.  We used to put soy cheese on pizzas at the pizza joint, and the stuff never melted.  Both the cheeseburgers were good I think, but the soy meat was saltier.  Lettuce and tomato would have really cranked up the flavor of the soy burger, while the beef burger didn't need it.

This guy does an excellent job of putting guitar to public freakouts.  However, the real star of this video is the dog.

 Oh great.  Now Lookie is going into heat, and both she and Lily are howling up a duet in the kitchen as I type this letter.  No cat can howl like Lookie: she should join a death metal band.  She's been copying Mary Unknown7 (or maybe it's vice versa), she has a high pitched voice and really puts her emotions into her screams.  Lily tries to match Lookie's passion, but she can't keep up.  I hope you don't scream like that, Natty.

Oh hi, Natty!  I'm glad you're enjoying yourself in California.  I always knew you would love that place, especially since you have money to spend.  That's a smart camera shot, I can't see anyone sleeping on the streets.  If you're planning to move to California and open up shop there, you better not become too wealthy.  I found this on the Internet, I thought it might interest you:

I have no interest in living in California.  Even if I were wealthy, I wouldn't even want to visit let alone live there.  Why bother, I can get my toys delivered nowadays.  Plus, I'm definitely not star struck.  If I were your age and had lots of money, perhaps I would live in California.  But that's 29 years too late for me.  They really should have snagged me when they had the chance.  As it is right now, forget it.

More cat chaos

Hi Natty!  Oh, what is that vibe you speak of?  What I can sense is a relaxed, intellectual vibe.  But perhaps you forgot to put imagination into it.  With a pumped up imagination there is fantasy, and the vibe can be that of innuendo and lust.  That's not what I'm feeling at this moment.  Right now, I feel tedious and annoyed.  Because of more cat chaos.

Last Ramadan, someone dumped a couple of kittens by my mother's bedroom window.  I feel bad for abandoned babies for some reason, so I took them in.  It's almost Ramadan again, and Lily and her brother Bro aka Adolf Kitler are now fully grown.  They are very close to each other, and love each other very much.  Lily is now in heat, and Adolf is more than willing to ease her suffering by having sex with her.  Thus I have to keep them separated without releasing Adolf into the wild as I know he is a very valuable kitty.  Connected to my door is a large cage where I park my motorcycle at night to keep it out of sight.  That is where Adolf spends most of his time now.  The females I keep inside, but I still need to get in and out of the house.  So I put the females in the kitty litter room whenever I need to go outside, and they pretty much stay in there until I get back in.  Every move I make going in and out of the house has to be meticulously prepared, because Adolf Kitler has a very fast gun and he can shoot it before I can blink.  Plus my sight isn't that great to begin with.  Bah.  Just thinking about it makes me irritated and tired.

Streaming trouble

 I'm sorry folks, but today the stream I normally use wasn't working.  The good news is that the stream at the karaoke joint is working fine, so I used that.  The address is server2.luschaudio.com:9208  So what about this "free-shoutcast.com"?  What should I do with this guy, folks?  I tested the stream just now, and it was working OK.  I think he wants money but then again, who doesn't?  Let's just play it by ear for now.  If the usual stream isn't working, then please tune into the karaoke stream.

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my love?  Oh, I've seen that picture already!  You look like a beautiful college student.  What's on the menu today?  I wanted to make tacos using soy meat for dinner, so that's what happened with me.  I used soy meat, fried onions and cheese.  It was acceptable and not weird, I'm sure my stomach will give it a passing grade.  It would have been better with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo but I didn't want to go out.

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today?  I hope you are feeling calm and well.  I expect the past couple of weeks have been stressful for you, even though you may not have done much of anything except stress out.  I gave myself the evening off, and had an early dinner.  Nothing special, just rice with eggs, crunchy anchovies, and spicy bitter beans that I got from the restaurant.  I may have seemed cavalier to you the past couple of weeks, but my heart did take a beating.  I can feel it in my elbow.  I didn't tell you this, but Lookie had a diarrhea crisis (from canned cat food), so I gave her a small dose of diarrhea pills that I bought from the pharmacy (since she spat out the syrup).  It stopped the diarrhea yeah, but it made her hallucinate.  It was such a tiny dose too, and I felt so bad.  She's OK now alhamdulillah, but it took a week of psycho kitty and now she's tail down during meal times.  No more soft foods for Lookie: she's back to eating kibble.  I took her off kibble a long time ago (because of her mother) so that all the cats eat the same food, but I learned my lesson.  Every cat of mine has a special need.

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  Trying to regain sanity?  We're all crazy here.  Well, I hope you get a grip enough to keep social distancing amidst this pandemic.  I do that naturally of course, but tomorrow is Friday prayer and I have to be there.  Otherwise, today seemed pretty normal.  Nothing new on the menu.  In the evening, I did some burning.  There were a lot of coconut husks on the ground.  The air is still to day for some reason, but that made it a perfect day for burning.

Oh, meow?  Yeah, cats.  Cats have been with me for most of my life.  I can't seem to live without them.  They offer companionship, and they keep my house free from vermin.  And they rule the Internet.
