Nice shades

Hi Natty!  I like those shades.  And you are looking beautiful, as usual.  Are you enjoying yourself?  Basking by the pool, what do you have in your other hand?  The picture seems so luxurious, yet compact.  Nice, clean water in the pool.  Tall hedge.

My lunch yesterday tasted so good, I decided to have the same lunch today but it wasn't the same somehow.  I get the feeling that you wouldn't be able to stomach the same lunch I had, even though I did enjoy it yesterday.  Like the expression on Luka's face when I gave her half the fish head for a snack: "Are you kidding me?"  Floofy didn't react to the fish head with much enthusiasm either, but she ate it.  Personal swimming pools aren't practical around here not just for the fact that there aren't any professional pool cleaners, but because this is the tropics and thus full of life, and you don't want to clean up all that life out of your swimming pool.  I remember being at a house in Phoenix with a beautiful peanut-shaped pool with palm trees around it.  I remember pulling out all the dead baby birds out of the pool when I had to clean it with a net.

I think I need to delegate some work to you.  I want you to design the house that you would live in with me, plus 2 or 3 kids.  Don't design a big house: think of all the labor that you would have to do keeping it nice and tidy (good help is so hard to find!)  The septic system would be an underground 3 pool interconnecting cesspool.  Don't give yourself a big yard either.  You have plenty of time to think of this, right?  Also think about what to eat everyday.  I have 2 meals a day, brunch and dinner.  If you have no house plans by the time I ask you for it, then we default to my plans.  We also default to my brunch and dinner.  Yeah, I know how to cook.  Allah taught me how to cook, alhamdulillah.

Qur'an 20190720

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

14.  For God is prayer in Truth.  Any others that they call upon besides God hear them no more than if they were to stretch forth their hands for water to reach their mouths, but it reaches them not, for the prayer of those without Faith is nothing but wandering.

15.  Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate themselves to Allah, with goodwill, or in spite of themselves.  So do their shadows, in the mornings and evenings.

16.  Say, "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?"  Say, "Allah."  Say, "Do you then take protectors other than God, such as have no power either for good, or for harm to themselves?"  Say, "Are the blind equal with those who see?  Or the depths of darkness equal with light?"  Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created as God has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar?  Say, "Allah is the Creator of all things.  God is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."

Just another average day

Hi there, my lovely Ladies!  How are things going?  I hope everything is just absolutely dandy for you.  Oh, I'm tired!  As usual, huh?  I did get some sleep right before the Friday prayer, so I quite enjoyed voice training today.  You can usually tell when I'm enjoying singing from the way I sound, otherwise I'm tired.  I did manage to hypnotize myself as usual, so I felt like a zombie after.  I feel like a zombie now: I just finished cutting the grass.  Nothing special on the menu.  Just "nasi campur": steamed rice with assorted entrees in this case, an egg, spicy eggplant and a salted fish) for lunch, and a couple of cheeseburgers for dinner.  Now I need another nap before heading back to the mosque.  Oh!  I'm so drowsy!

Moon River

Hello there, my precious Ladies.  How are you today?  How's work?  Good and easy, I hope.  It's so sleepy here today.  I'm sleepy.  I got up at 4 am this morning, that's why.  Did some worship, then practiced guitar.  I got my chores done early and had an early lunch, because I had to do a bit of a scavenger hunt.  I was on a quest for dates and pomegranates.  The dates were easy enough to find.  The problem was that I don't like dates, and they were expensive.  But I was blessed to find one box sitting alone for half the price of the others, and these dates weren't that bad.  Very soft and sweet.  Hurt my teeth.  The pomegranates were more difficult to find.  None of the fruit stands by the side of road had any.  The market didn't have any.  At that point I decided to give up, so I went to get gasoline.  It was still early, and I don't carry a timepiece.  Not even a cell phone.  When I paid for the gasoline I asked the girl for the time, and it was almost 10 am.  Which means the big supermarkets are open. I went for a last try for pomegranates, and what they had was pomegranate juice.  So I bought that.  I ate some dates and drank pomegranate juice before voice training today.  I guess that was my lunch lunch.  It was a very sleepy set today.

The mouse

Hi there, my beautiful Ladies!  How are those emotions today?  Well I do so hope that you are feeling good, and everything is nice and easy for you.  Let's please work together, OK?  I'm doing OK over here.  There was a cat emergency yesterday: Floofy puked out her dinner then refused to eat breakfast, all the while moping under the oven.  But she ate her dinner today with enthusiasm, so I guess she's OK now.  I suppose she ate something that didn't agree with her tummy.  Cats do that, eat things to puke it out.  Possibly some sort of vermin.  When you get your houses from me inshaAllah, I suggest you keep 2 cats (not dogs) locked up in each house to control mouse activity.  2 cats work together as a team to catch mice.  Keep them in the house 24/7 so they get bored, and cats that are not fixed are more tenacious.  You can't keep an unfixed male cat in the house, so they have to be female.  You will have to love them and take good care of them or they might refuse to work.  Granted, they will howl and such when they are in heat, but if you love them you will be patient right?  Mice stay away from my house.  But my Mom doesn't like cats, so she has a mouse problem.  I set a trap in her kitchen on Monday, then the next morning there was a mouse in it.  I left the trap under the open sun to kill it.  Hey, there is no humane way to execute a mouse!  Am I supposed to keep it as a pet?  But it rained the past couple of days so the sun didn't come out, so the mouse survived another 2 days.  The mouse obviously knew it was on Death Row.  But what did it do all the while it was in the cage?  It built a nest!

Hi Erin

How are you, Honey?  Not feeling too out of sorts, I hope.  Emotions can be a pain sometimes.  When I was younger, I thought it would so nice not to be able to feel anything.  No anger, no disappointment, nothing.  Now I need my emotions, otherwise I can't work.  Our emotions drive us and motivate us, for me I need my emotions to sing.  I'm sorry our situation isn't perfect.  Don't worry Honey, things will work out great for us inshaAllah.  Please pray and think of us, next life things will be perfect inshaAllah, with perfect feelings.  My sleeping hours have gone completely random lately, maybe it's my fault for enjoying work so much.  But I get exhausted, and it affects my singing.  Today I fell asleep right after voice training, that's why I'm late today.  It's like I need to hear the singing in order to sleep.  But I need sleep in order to sing well.  I'm so irritated with myself.  But I don't want to take sleep drugs.  My estimate is that it would get worse.  I'll have to adapt sleep to when Allah allows me to sleep.

Hi Natty.  It looks like you had a wonderful little birthday party.  Happy Birthday twins!
