Happy Birthday, Grace!  Is your head hot today?  I thought this song and its driving video would suit the occasion, let the breeze cool you down.  Oh, kitty!  There's a light at the end of the tunnel!  Ah, but the journey is what makes the journey.  The light is yet another long road.  Pat Metheny uses flatwound strings.  Imagine that!  What kind of a person would do something like that?  Flatwound strings are mellower, but I prefer old strings.  The strings on my SG are 16 years old.  Almost as old as you!  But the best strings are old strings on an acoustic guitar, with some rust on it.

Looks like Jimmy Kimmel beat Jimmy Fallon!  People steal gigs all the time in showbiz.  Make sure you save your gig with Mary by not being absent.

Out of control

 

Hi Grace, what's up?  Not much going on here.  The weather is nice and cool, which is great.  I hate hot weather.  I'm just lying back, and taking it easy.

That's a fun gang, dancing to the music.  You're not the only ones dancing to the music.  It's a very large and strange machine that's out of control.  Chinese.

A local situation

 

Uh oh, Mary has chest congestion again.  It's only been a couple of weeks since she got over the last sickness.  I'm very upset with her, but what to do?  She's the chick singer.

Grace, please hang on tight to the streams you do with Mary.  If you have a show, wrap it up in time to get back and stream with Mary.  If you are on the road, then stream from your hotel room.  I'm sorry Honey, but you have to work.  Don't let anyone else take your gig.

Fretless bass

 

Hi Grace.  I was just listening to "Layla" this morning.  Congratulations, and I hope you enjoy your run of gigs with the Allmans.  I can't help but think that we can't save people, because they have their own reckoning with God.  God is the One Who saves.  All I can do is prepare for the return of Jesus Christ (peace be on him).

Fretless bass is a lot like slide guitar, but much more fun.  Remco Hendrix is an incredible bass player.  His right hand technique is unique and powerful, no other bassist sounds like him.  While other modern bassists insist on playing a million notes a minute, Remco focuses on groove.  He's going to be legendary when he gets away from the open strings, and goes for melodic progressions on the fretless bass.  I don't think he's too interested in playing live on stage, though.  Not everyone is hooked on the randomness of live venues.  Grace, I'm afraid you have to work.  God's orders.

Hi Grace!  Off to Floyd already?  That seems like a huge lineup.  Hopefully you don't have the 7 am slot.  

Always promote your music when you stream.  The UK should be the first country outside the US that you tour.  Specifically England and Scotland.  Mary Unknown7 has a large audience there.  You could probably borrow some songs from her set for Esther to sing in your band.  Sure, people might think she's Mary.  Wouldn't that be great?  Don't tell them that, though.  Study your venues thoroughly before you go.  Make sure you capture the Cocteau Twins fan base.

Princess Diana was well before your time, Grace.  You might not even know who she is, but she was huge during the 80s.  She was the Michael Jackson of the British royal family.  What do Princess Diana and Mary Unknown7 have in common?  Nothing really, other than a large wardrobe and a selfless work ethic.

Hi Gracie!  What are you talking about, Honey?  Tone is in the fingers.  You sound great straight into the amp.  Words don't come easy for you, I suppose.  You're great at guitar, though!  The more I watch you play, the more I realize how deep and sensitive you can get.  You're beautiful, and I love you.  I had a dream of you last night.  You were stretching your feet, preparing them for high heels.  That made me laugh.  You would never wear high heels!  Anyway, all business has its problems.  It's life.  Just deal with or go around them as they come along.  You're doing fine.

The late Queen Elizabeth II was a big fan of Mary Unknown7.  I can't prove it, though.  She was a woman of profound subtlety, especially later in her life.  I wish I could have met her.  She was by far, the prettiest British monarch.

Ghost city

 

Hi folks.  My name is Azham Abdullah, the Americans call me Zam.  I'm almost 59 years old.  I spent most of my youth as a musician in America, playing live with my band Shadowplay, writing and publishing music.  I have an independent approach to music business which in my case proved to be extremely dangerous.  But God saved my life, now my music business has also become service to Allah.  I moved to Malaysia where my enemies doubled, but God remained my friend.  That's how and where it occurred to me that it doesn't matter where in the world I am, people will come to the music.  I don't have to go to them.

Then Allah introduced me to Mary Unknown7, a spiritual singer.  I have Mary singing love songs stream all over the world, also I recite the Qur'an on the stream channel.  As I observed the impact of Mary's singing, I knew that the stream would be successful with or without a band to accompany her.  But why not have a band?  I plan to have live shows of the stream.  People will come here from all over the world to see Shadowplay live, inshaAllah.  My advice to the locals is to cope as best as they can with resources already available, and not to overbuild so this place doesn't turn into a ghost city when Mary and I die.

Mary and I have become old, and Mary has to use an avatar.  I am still unmarried.  My interest in Grace Bowers is as a wife.  When it becomes obvious that she has no interest in marrying me, then I will look elsewhere for a wife.
