The great outdoors

 

Hi Natty?  How you doin' today, Honey?   I hope the sailing is easy, and you are keeping safe and healthy.  I'm doing OK over here, just longing for my Sweetie is all.  I just had dinner, it was spaghetti with steak, eggplant and basil in tomato sauce.  The sauce is a great success alhamdulillah, made from local ingredients.  The Italians wouldn't be able to make this sauce.  Adolf loves spaghetti, so I gave him some.  I hope it wasn't too salty for him.  His boys followed him when he went outdoors this morning, he seemed like a good father as such, showing them around and talking to them.  He even brought them back 3 hours early, it was their first day outside after all.  I'm quite pleased with Adolf today.

Ugh, it's been a busy day.  I made a fresh batch of ranch dressing this morning.  Damn, mayo is expensive.  There is a cheaper derivative of mayo packaged in a bag as you can see above, known as "salad sauce".  It's basically mayo diluted with grease and sugar, and it tastes as such.  But since it's cheaper, hawkers put it on their burgers and call it mayonnaise.  Well, I bought a bag because real mayonnaise is bloody expensive.  The brand above is not an endorsement because it tastes like crap just like any other brand of salad sauce.  But there is some real mayonnaise in there, all I need is to neutralize the grease and sugar.  My guess is to add egg whites.  Oh dear, eggs are my weakness but I managed to get 6 egg whites.  And it worked, alhamdulillah.  The ranch dressing tastes great.  You can still taste the cheap mayo, but you would have to think about it first.
