The humble ramen

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I expect you are busy, going from place to place and being fabulous as you are.  Please make sure you take good care of your health and safety.  There's not much going on here today.  It's been an exciting week, for both of us I guess.  I wish I could sleep more, but I always have stuff to do

I made another batch of lentil fritter mix.  I snack on those pretty much every night.  I put so many chillies in there, my hands are still burning from straining the mix.  I had ramen for lunch.  One may think that ramen is a quick fix.  The noodles yes of course, but the broth takes a long time.  Not today though, I used a mix of leftover broth I kept in the cooler.  I added tofu, fish cake, veggies and an egg, and it was done.  Oh yeah, I also fried up some chicken skin to make artificial bacon bits.  I love ramen!  Last night I watched the video above, in particular the first piece about a 64 year old grandfather who pushes around a hand cart 20 km a day to sell bowls of ramen for ¥500 each.  God, I feel so bad for him.

Hi Natty!  Natty, you're so pretty!  I want to hug and kiss you!  But I guess you are very busy right now.  Such as you should be, the world needs you.  You have things to do and things to endorse, Mrs. Rock Star.

I'm not a fashion historian nor expert by any means.  I like what I like, and that's it.  This year I learned that the Met Gala is thematic.  Isn't that nice?  If I had to go (and I were aware of the theme), I would have borrowed a look from the movie, "Gangs of New York".  But I didn't go, and I would have been too lazy to put in an effort if I had the means to go.  I'm just an opinionated fashion critic.  Theme aside, the best dressed of the Met Gala 2022 is Lily Aldridge:

Before I looked at the Dries Van Noten SPRING 2022 READY-TO-WEAR collection, I checked out the JW Anderson collection.  Most of the photos there were of the photographer himself, who looked like a pale chimpanzee, doing lewd poses in a skimpy Speedo with a tractor tire.  I suppose that could be entertaining, but it's not beautiful so I won't display it here.  The Dries Van Noten SPRING 2022 READY-TO-WEAR collection had excellent photography.  But I hate it when they don't isolate the outfits, because it forces me to endorse outfits that I don't like:

Hi Natty!  Honey now that it's been established that you are the girl, don't you agree that you should dress more girlie regularly?  After all you are a sociologist, and you wouldn't want to confuse society by not dressing all girlie all the time.  I'm sure you wouldn't want a flood of lesbians clamoring to make you their butch so you can pay for all their expenses.  (I don't think she'll do it folks, but I might as well try and get some eye candy) I love you, Natty!

Are you hungry, Honey?  Yesterday I made steamed rice mixed with shredded mustard greens and topped with honey teriyaki chicken and a generous amount of roasted sesame seeds, and it was so successful I had to have it again today.  Would you like some?

Hi Natty!  Yes Honey, that's a beautiful photo.  It's an older one, I already have it in my slideshow.  You're so pretty, Natty.  I'm sure many girls have fallen in love with you by now.  Pretty girls, too.  What!  She wants you to be the man?  How insulting!  Natty, YOU be the girl.  I will look after you inshaAllah, because you are MY girl.  I kind of guessed this would happen.  It's a trip, huh?  And there's a LOT of pretty girls out there.  My advice is to be careful of the kiss.  A kiss isn't just a kiss when you put your heart into it.  The emotional high coupled with lust will make you crave for more.  Then you will want to be the man.  Please save yourself for me.  I love you with all of my heart.  Would you like to see my favorite snapshot of you?  It's this one:

Isn't that a gorgeous photo?  It absolutely melts my heart.  It makes me want to kiss you over and over again.  Anyway, I'm still into ramen research.  The other day, I made a dark broth using carrots, seaweed, ginger, cilantro and Vietnamese coriander.  It was very thick and tasty.  Today I made a white broth.  Looks good, huh?  It's made with garlic, onion, mustard green stems, potato and ginger.  It works, but the ginger is a bit strong.  I'll use less next time.  Hm, it tastes almost like Campbell's cream of chicken soup.  It must be the chicken bouillon I used for MSG.
