Fried chicken

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  Are you hungry?  I had a craving for fried chicken just now.  Of course I can fry it up myself, but the process is so time consuming and messy.  So much waste, too.  You can't reuse the oil.  It's so much simpler to just go and buy it at the night market, so that's what I did.  The whole world has fried chicken on its menu, and the recipes go from great to crappy.  When it's great, the chicken has crispy skin, tasty spices, and tender flesh that's cooked all the way through, plus piping hot.  The chicken I got was pretty good.  It could have had a couple of minutes less time in the fryer, and it could have been fresh out of the hot grease.  But I got my fix, so I can't complain.

Last night, I went over to W magazine.  It had a huge fashion spread, which is always nice, but I only found one thing I liked.  I didn't see any fat models, though.  Thank God!  Down with obesity!  I'm not too fond of the platform hi tops, but the dress is gorgeous.

 Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope that all is well with you over there.  It's Sunday over here for me.  Sundays are always busy, but I'm done with almost all of it.  Wow, I'm busy from the moment I wake to the time I sleep...  I just got done with dinner.  I made beef chow mein with the drippings I got from cooking up roast beef.  It's a bit sweet, I must say.  But successful.  My cats love it.  You must try some sometime.

Oh yeah, tonight is movie night.  The People vs Larry Flynt (1996).  It doesn't make sense to me that Larry Flynt be a likable person in real life, how about you?  I compare this movie with Boogie Nights (1997), even though The People vs Larry Flynt is somewhat based on reality.  These 2 movies strike me as attempts to turn pornography characters into wholesome family entities.  Not that there exists a perfectly wholesome family on this earth.

Hi Natty!  What's going on?  Keeping busy?  I hope you are having a great time over there.  Please take care of your health and safety.  Oh wow!  2021 is over!  What's next?  By now, everyone is feeling it.  "It".  I've been feeling it for a long time already, so it's nothing new to me.  It would be nice to get paid for a change.

I never thought Vanity Fair to be a fashion magazine.  But when I Googled "fashion magazine", Vanity Fair came up.  So I thought I would pay them a visit.  It turns out they had a nice section on New Year's Eve party wear.  Nothing any normal person could wear everyday.  Someone like Mary could wear that stuff everyday.  Except that she has thousands of outfits.  She has yet to go through one revolution of her entire wardrobe.  That's my work there, I'm the one who did the collecting and I'm the one who dresses up her avatar.  Over 40 years of Rock and Roll business experience!  Mary used to have some say in what she has to wear, until she decided to receive gifts from perverts.  She's too nice, but no more of that.  I decide what she wears.  Anyway, here's what I found at Vanity Fair:

Mary's outfit today could be that flashy everyday.  But today, it's another one of those dresses where the template is floating around freely on Marketplace.  So many different merchants are selling this same design at different prices, and I'm pretty sure I have duplicates of this same dress in the inventory.  I suppose it could be a "normal" dress, but it is the kind of dress that suits Mary, who she is and what she does.  I would call this the "Victoria's Secret look".  Hm.  Even though it's not a fashion magazine, perhaps I should take a look at the Victoria's Secret catalog.  I sure hope the models aren't fat.

Natty, you are such a beauty.  Slim, elegant and absolutely stunning.  I love your nose, it's positively regal.  I love you, Natty.  Where are you now, Honey?  I don't see any snow nor evergreens, so I assume you're back in SoCal.  Ready to get back to work?

Allure magazine first came out when I was a 20-something musician back in 1990-something.  I remember I was buying a lot of fashion magazines back then, and cutting out and pasting pictures of models and female celebrities to entirely cover my bedroom wall.  Lately, models have become fat.  Too thin isn't good, but going the other direction is just as bad.  Clothes can be altered, but the role model should be balance, strength and good health.  Anyway, I went to Allure last night and it wasn't a fashion magazine anymore.  It has become more of a horoscope magazine.  There was a fashion section, but that was actually a link to Vogue Fall 2021 Fashion Trends.  So I found a few interesting things at Vogue:
