Electric light

Hi Natty!  Are you mad at me?  Please don't be mad at me, because I love you with all of my heart.  I just think an ornate ring doesn't really suit you, and not just impractical.  Ornate rings are for people who wear evening gowns all the time.  We could just have matching rings, like that snapshot on your Instagram.

I'm a bit dizzy and drowsy today.  It's been a busy day, with a lot of running around.  I bought a new pair of flip-flops and a new LED bulb to replace the one in my porch light.  Isn't that a nice light show above?  A good light show is probably the only real reason to go to a live show anymore.  Anyway, I'm gonna go.  It's been emotionally draining lately, I'm going to try for a nap before I go to the mosque.  I love you!

Sorry again, folks

Natty, that's a beautiful ring.  Do you like that ring?  Of course you do.  I think it's gorgeous.  I've never seen a design like that.  Those protrusions make it very aesthetic and delicate.  I don't think it's the kind of ring you can wear gardening or hiking, though.  Plus, those protrusions might hurt your finger when something random happens.  And something random always happens: it's one of life's sure things.  I suggest when you choose a ring, that it be a ring that you can wear all the time to anywhere to do anything, and be easy to wash without losing any stones.  After all, you are Nature Girl right?

I'm sorry to announce folks, that Mary Unknown7 will only be performing a 40 minute set tomorrow.  Yes it's my fault again, I have an appointment I can't avoid.  So if any of you want to come to the karaoke joint and challenge Mary to a 2 hour sing-off, it's going to have to happen the day after tomorrow.

Qur'an 20211125

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

186.  To such as Allah rejects from God's Guidance, there can be no guide.  God will leave them in their trespasses, wandering in distraction.

187.  They ask you about the Hour: when will be its appointed time?  Say, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord.  None can reveal as to when it will occur.  Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth.  Only all of a sudden will it come to you."  They ask you if you were eager in search thereof.  Say, "The knowledge thereof is with Allah, but most humans know not."

188.  Say, "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah Wills.  If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me.  I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith."

The Heights 7:186-188

Sorry folks

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are feeling good over there.  Please don't be so concerned about what other people want and say.  High school never ends.  Or is that a sorority?  Whatever.  I think it's OK to focus on our happiness together.  You are MY girl, and I don't want any other girl.

That being said, I'm still too poor to be married, so please forgive me.  I'm so sorry about that.  And I'm sorry that Mary was late today.  That was my fault, I had to complete an unfinished task.  Poor Mary had to wait all that time.  But we are a team, and she won't do anything without me.

Movie night

Hi Natty!  What's going on, Honey?  I hope you're having a great time over there, and feeling great too.  It's a little more relaxed here for me today.  Just a lot of kicking back and listening to music.  And watching a movie!

That drummer is a dinosaur!  Let's watch a movie, Natty!  tonight's movie is "Jurassic World" (2015).  Oh, you've seen it already?  Let's watch it again!  There are a lot of movies I like to watch over and over again, and never get tired of.  In fact this movie is on my death list, meaning that it's one of the movies I want to watch while I'm dying.  So where are we at?  We are at the part where the scientist explains to the boss about the makeup of the monster.  The monster is a cat!  Meow!

Hectic day

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  Are you getting ready for the holidays?  I saw in the news about that incident in Wisconsin, at the parade.  I'm sorry that happened, I hope it didn't bring you down.  InshaAllah, you will have a wonderful season.

It's been a busy day for me.  I drove my mother around in the morning, and I drove my mother around in the evening.  I still haven't had my dinner yet.  It's ramen, the soup is on the stove top and I haven't added the noodles yet.  If I could get this post done, I might have time to eat dinner after I get back from the mosque.  Good thing I had a big lunch!  I got some "putu mayong" for my mother at the night market.  It's sweet stuff as you can see above, with special hand made noodles and brown sugar.  Anyway, gotta go!  I love you!

Fried noodles

Hi Natty!  Sorry I'm running late, Honey.  I've been joining the congregational prayer at the mosque more frequently, so please expect me a little later than usual.  How are you, by the way?  I hope everything is awesome for you over there.  You are MY girl, and I love you with all of my heart.

Would you like some fried noodles?  Fried noodles are actually quite easy, if you wanted to try and make it.  I can get fresh noodles over here because everybody uses noodles here, so I don't have to bother with dried noodles.  The key to fried noodles is the sauce.  Everybody who fries noodles has their own routine.  The video above is OK, I guess.  I personally wouldn't bother removing the heads and tails of bean sprouts, and I certainly wouldn't fry them up first.  Today I started with chopped garlic, then I add my pickled soybeans.  Oh no, my pickled soybeans went rancid!  How is that even possible?  It must be the protein in the beans.  I hope my entire batch didn't get ruined, but I didn't have time to deal with it today.  Next batch I'll put in a LOT of salt.  So I skipped the soybeans and added water.  Oh, the fire is medium high today.  For the sauce, I put Mae Pranom tom yum paste in the water.  I just happened to have a lot of it right now.  It needs salt, so I added a teaspoon of anchovy bouillon.  Then I chopped up some of my generic roast beef and put it in the water.  Next, the noodles went in.  This particular brand is a bit bitter, and the bitterness needs to be cooked out, so I left the whole mess alone on the fire while I cleaned the litter box.  When I got back the noodle mix had dried up, so I turned down the fire and cracked an egg in there and mixed it up to thicken it up.  I had already chopped up the scallions and green hot chilli peppers.  This stuff goes in last after I switch off the fire, because it need to stay as raw as possible.  If I had bean sprouts, they would go in last.  It's a successful batch of fried noodles.  Mae Pranom makes a good sauce, I didn't even need soy sauce.  Want some?
