Time

 

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today?  I hope you are happy, and healthy.  I discovered a little trick today.  We all have things to do everyday, right?  I found that it was possible to rearrange my daily agenda to put myself in a better mood.  It takes a little compromise but hell, who can get away from that?  It's better than carrying around resentment and anger, and with 55 years of waiting around, there's a lot of that.  Again, rearrange or adjust your tasks to put yourself in a better mood.  Again, change what you have to do to uplift yourself and nurture your emotions.

I just got done with dinner and the sunset prayer.  I tried making a fry sauce today.  I made hot sauce in the morning, then I took half of that and added eggplant.  I thought that it could possibly make a good fry sauce.  Almost.  I put too much salt.  But fry sauce should be tomato or mayonnaise based, do you agree?  I need to do more research.  A neighbor was kind enough to give me some beef today.  If you didn't already know, the Hajj Eid was yesterday and the day after is the ritual sacrifice of livestock to give to the needy and community.  Usually there are many scavengers present during the ritual, but this year it's different because of the Covid.  Only those who are performing the worship can be present during the ritual.  But I got some beef anyway.  Alhamdulillah.

In my bedroom

Heat and rain

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  Keeping cool?  I looked at the map to see that you're far away from the fires, so alhamdulillah.  It was hot here today, but it's cooled down a little bit.  It hasn't rained in about a week, so I took the opportuniy to spray the mango trees for ants.  They like to feed on baby leaves, and rain always washes away the poison.  It's interesting how the weather became distorted on your birthday, huh?  

I'm blogging a little early today.  I'm fasting today.  The 9th day of Zulhijjah (the 9th day of the Hajj ritual) is a good day to fast, and I do it each year inshaAllah.  I haven't started dinner yet, because I don't want my fries to get cold.  Damn, I haven't had cold fries in years.  Maybe I should wait until after sunset before I cook them up?  Anyway, I hope you are safe and healthy and enjoying yourself.  I love you!

 Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  I hope you are healthy and having a wonderful time over there.  Are you hungry?  You can share my fries with me whenever you want.  I'll make a double potion just for you!  We might just eat fries all the time when we are married inshaAllah, they're so addictive!  Plus, fries are predictable for the tummy.  I also have some roast beef slow-cooking on the stove top.  I mean the beef is simmering in a bath of soy sauce and coconut milk, with some spices and a little salt.  I guess you can call it roast beef.  I will cook there for a few hours.  It's a cheap cut of beef, but that's the beauty of it.  When it's dome, the gristle and fat will be the best parts!  Tomorrow I will be fasting inshaAllah, and I plan to have the beef with steamed rice for the pre-dawn meal.  Anyway, it's time to do wardrobe with Mary Unknown7's avatar again.  I love you!

Spaghetti again?

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope you are well my love, and having an easy life.  I've been busy all day.  I just finished dinner, and it was spaghetti again.  It was made from all the recent pizza ingredients, except that it was spaghetti.  Italian food tends to go around in circles like that.  I didn't even bother to garnish it for the photo, I just wanted to hurry up and eat.  I was working on recording the drums all day, and trying to get the best sound.  The drums already sound good naturally, so I'm not too worried about how they capture on recording.  It's the performance of my drumming that's pissing me off.  I sound so timid and inhibited.  I haven't played in years, and the situation is uncomfortable.  But the situation has never been comfortable, I just need to remember how to go crazy again.  Drums don't lie!  Bah.  I'm kind of upset.
