A cat romance
Hi Natty! That looks like a nice place. You're life is a beach, huh? Say hi to your Dad for me, and please try to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Oh I'm just sitting here writing a letter to my Sweetie, and waiting for sunset so I can break my fast. I have noodles on the menu today, made with broth that came from my latest batch of roast/pulled beef. I haven't tasted it yet, I don't know if it will be successful. Back at the pizza joint, the place was saturated with pig so I didn't taste any of the stuff I cooked for people. I just guessed. Same thing today.
With Lily gone to heaven, what's left here on earth with me is a cat romance! Featuring Lookie:
and Adolf Kitler:I think it's almost time for kittens! InshaAllah! I wish you were here with me Natty, so you can take the photo while I press their cheeks together.Thursday, April 29, 2021
Lily and Bro
Hi Natty! How are you today, Honey? I hope you are well, and enjoying yourself. Lily passed away today right after Mary Unknown7 finished her set. As far as I recall, Yoolie passed away at the same time of day. I was prepared to take care of Lily as an invalid cat. I had some aquarium tubing to feed her fish and rice smoothies, and I went to the pharmacy and bought more puke control pills. But Allah was merciful, and didn't allow her to suffer as an invalid. My perspective is I couldn't bury her while she was still alive, so it meant I had to fight for what was left of her life. I don't do euthanasia.
Today is exactly one year since Lily and her brother Bro aka Adolf Kitler came into my family. Adolf belongs in the "Life Goes On" club.

Lily
Lily had another seizure at 11:30 pm last night. I knew that that would be the death blow. It was probably from the stress of being ill, a sickness caused by a seizure. See how diseases stack up on another, Natty? We always have to be on guard, and pray.
She seemed calm in the morning. When I woke up, she was with her brother and she greeted me with a purr. I guess she was saying "Thank you." She stepped out into the cage where I keep the motorcycle, and found a place to lie down. Her brother and I were beside her, and I asked him "Do you think she's going to pull through?" He shook his head. I tried in the morning to force feed her some fish and rice smoothie. I got a little bit in her, but she fought me off. I thought I would try again later. It was warm in the morning, and she slept through it. Then I had to work, so I brought her inside. After I was done, I checked on her. She was in cat death stance (on her side) and her whole body was shaking. I quickly watered her and gave her some liquid vitamins that the vet prescribed. She came to her senses, and went to stare at the water bowl. I had more work to do, so I left the house. Went I got back, she was almost dead again. I watered her again, and tried to feed her. But she was too far gone. She fought me off, she wants to die, she's trying to will herself to death. And that last resistance left her body quivering. With a little bit of strength left, she tried to go outside. Cats leave the house to die. But I need her to pass away inside, so I know where she is to bury her. I have a grave ready, by the mango tree. So we are waiting for Allah to take her. Tomorrow will be the one year anniversary when she and her brother came into my life, last Ramadan. From Allah is our origin, and to Allah is our return.

She's lost control
Hi Natty! How are you, Honey? I hope everything is well for you over there. I keep watching that clip of your telling a joke over and over again, you're so pretty! I have to say that mango and mint is a good combination, so you must try it someday. The smoothie was thick, a little water would cure that. It's been a hectic day for me. It's as if I were spending Ramadan working at the pizza joint- I still haven't cooked my dinner yet! Back in those days, I broke my fast on my feet and prayed the sunset prayer when there was a break in the dinner rush- in the toilet.
I took Lily to the vet first thing in the morning. I told him that she had a seizure, and after that she couldn't keep anything in her stomach, she would puke it out. She didn't have a fever. The vet gave her a worm pill and some shots. He prescribed me some liquid vitamins and puke suppressant pills. He told me that she should be OK after today. I asked him about the seizure, but he didn't answer me. The waiting room was full, and quiet. I told him it's OK, I know seizures are hard to calculate. The vet said I may have to force feed Lily. The worm pill isn't the answer, I think. The problem is the seizure and its aftermath. Lily had her first seizure when she first went into heat. She had her last seizure after recovering from a fever. I'm going to tell you right now Natty, so please remember. If the baby had a fever, bring that temperature down. I don't care if it's just a symptom, bring that fever down. Lily puked out the worm pill when she got home. I fed her the puke suppressant, and she hasn't puked since. I took the opportunity to feed her. The vet asked me if she drank water today, I said she did. So that means she puked out all her water as well. I watered her, and managed to get the whole dose of vitamin in. But I had trouble spoon feeding her. I wish you were here, Natty. I need an extra pair of hands to help me doctor the cat.

Mango and mint smoothie
Hi Natty! That's a wonderful collage of uplifting photos! You are such a treasure. I wish I could be together with you. That would make me very happy. Look, I made you a mango and mint smoothie! I thought just plain mango would be mango juice, and I thought the combination would be a good one. I don't know what it tastes like, I'm still fasting right now. I'll tell you tomorrow if it's good or if it's foul. Only a coffee cup sized portion because I'm the one who has to eat/drink it, and I'm not a smoothie kind of guy. Oh that's a confident snapshot of you in the public restroom! You must be certain there are no hidden cameras in there, or you just don't care. Incidentally, Lookie had been off the pee suppressant drug for 2 weeks already! The mop was actually dry from inactivity! The floor was so nice and dry, because everyone was using the cat box! Then a couple of days ago she started peeing on the floor again, and today she put a big old puddle in front of my bedroom door.
Lily has stopped eating, which is red alert for cats. I get so unhappy when any one of my cats is ill. I'm just a lonely person, I guess.

Swing low
Hi Natty! How are you today, Honey? I hope everything is going great for you, and you are having a splendid time. Oh it's Sunday over here, and busy as usual. A little more BS than usual, but even that makes it usual. Lily is still alive, no she's not paralyzed or anything like that. She needs to calm down, and not be so excited about everything. I told her, "There's nothing to get excited about. It's all mostly just the same old shit and another stupid day. You need to slow down, don't get another seizure!" I think she understands, and she seems to be calmer somewhat. I just got done getting my dinner ready. I bought some grilled glutinous rice to go with my pulled beef and fresh mangoes. I need to simplify my pulled beef recipe. I added some of it to my ramen and it tasted like perfection, except that it gave me the runs. Always something to mess with perfection! I also boiled some taters for home fries in the morning. Even though it's a whole kilo, I need some meat to go with that. I could never be a vegetarian. So it will be burgers with cashew relish.
