Fungus

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my beautiful Princess?  I hope you are feeling healthy and happy, and having a fabulous time.  Are you hungry?  I've been eating the same thing all day.  I went to the market early this morning.  I'm making stuffed won tons for my mother's birthday tomorrow, so I had to go early before the good stuff sold out.  So I got some fresh fish balls, and fresh tofu.  A LOT of them.  So I've been gorging on fish balls and tofu all day.  So simple!  So pure!  So good!  It has to be fresh, though...

I had to head back to town in the evening to get cable for the weed whacker, a bottle of hot sauce, and some stuff from the pharmacy.  I noticed that people were buying antifungal cream for their hands.  Yeah, people have been washing their hands more often than they ever have before.  The trouble is, there's fungus in the tap water.  If your skin keeps dry most of the time then it's not a problem, but if it's always wet...  Then it starts to itch and crack and peel, and moisturizer makes it worse...  You put antifungal cream on the itchy part, and then you go wash your hands again...  You wind up washing the medicine off your hands.  Oh, I'm not saying don't wash your hands.  I'm saying, don't wash the medicine off your hands!  And try to keep your hands dry!

Haircut

Hi Natty!  How are you, my darling?  I hope you are having a fabulous time being you.  Oh, what a time!  I finally got a haircut today!  Yeah after 3 months of lockdown, I finally got to get rid of some of this hair.  I have my mother's hair: it's thick and grows fast, so after 3 months I looked a real mess.  Well, more than a mess than usual.  I had to escort my mother to the hospital this morning.  I dropped her off at the entrance, and before I found a parking spot I went to see the barber.  My regular barber wasn't in business today for whatever reason.  So it was go-with-the-flow as usual with my life, so I set out to find a barber within my line of drive at that particular time, which was 9 am.  I ended up at a ladies' hair salon, and got my hair cut by an "auntie".  "Auntie" is local slang for adult Chinese woman.  I wasn't into any fancy hairdo or anything like that.  Ugly old man, you know what I mean?  No haircut can hide the ugly old man.  I just wanted my hair cut short to help cope with the stifling hot humid tropical climate which I so profoundly loathe.  With my regular barber, I just sat in the chair and he was done in a few minutes.  But the auntie gave me a nice looking haircut, comfortable too, and I'm quite pleased with it.

Just another average day

Hi Natty!  How are you?  I hope you are healthy, and having a wonderful time.  It's just another average day here for me, there's not much to report.  It's Sunday, so I had to clean my mother's bedroom in the morning.  The menu is dull today, fries for lunch and chili for dinner.  I didn't feel like doing any labor in the evening, so I watched a movie.  "Avengers: Endgame".  I like that movie.  It's one of those movies I could watch over and over again.  Anyway, I'm going to log in to Second Life next and work on wardrobe with Mary Unknown7.  I love you!

Flat noodles

Hi Natty!  How are you, my angel?  I think you are doing a splendid job, being a beacon of light to all out there, especially the children of the music.  I can't interact with them, but at least they have you.  I love you.  I hope all your business is easy and fruitful.

I made fried flat noodles for dinner, if you want to try some.  It's nice and soft, and easy on my jaw that had been attacked by the lentils recently.  I used to eat fried flat noodles all the time when I was a kid, from this Chinese man at the restaurant by the old theater.  I would watch him cook up the stuff, and until this day his technique is what I use today.  That guy is dead now, and the restaurant is now a hotel with glass doors.  I love fried flat noodles with cockles, but I'm grown up now and I know what cockles eat so I avoid them.  I can get somewhat the same flavor with chicken.  First, fry up some chopped garlic in about a tablespoon of oil on medium low heat.  When the garlic is brown, add some hot sauce then mix in  When hot enough, add some sliced chicken.  Next add the flat noodles.  Flat noodles here come greasy when fresh, because the grease keeps the noodles separate.  If it's not greasy, it's not fresh!  Dump the noodles into a strainer, rinse and separate them with your fingers.  Then add it to the wok.  Add soy sauce to color, then mix gently by folding.  The soy sauce isn't enough to flavor (unless you use a lot) so I sprinkle some anchovy bouillon.  When hot enough, make a crater in the middle of the mix, turn the fire down to low, and crack an egg in there.  Add salt or soy sauce to the egg, stir and wait for it to harden.  Then fold the noodles over the egg, mix in then shut the heat off.  Add the vegetables on top, and mix them in one last time, just like a salad.  It's ready.  Serve it.

Emotion

Hi Natty!  Oh, was I wrong?  Are those emotions still raging?  I'm sorry.  Don't you worry about a thing, my precious Princess.  Everything will work out just fine for us inshaAllah.  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart, and I will marry you inshaAllah.

Are you hungry?  Dinner tonight was tortillas, stuffed with teriyaki chicken and mushrooms, with a local bitter bean hot sauce I bought from the corner restaurant.  I marinated the sliced chicken breast in a simple teriyaki sauce- sugar and light soy sauce.  First I fried up the sliced oyster mushrooms and ginger, medium heat!  Don't shrivel them up, just enough to make them soft then pour the teriyaki sauce over it.  Yes, the sauce you marinated the chicken in.  Make sure the mix is hot enough, then cook the chicken until it turns white then it's done.  The tortillas were a bit fat today.  That's my fault, I made the dough balls too big.  I couldn't roll them out any thinner or they wouldn't fit on the cooking pan.  I'm full.  Boy, I'm stuffed.
