Qur'an 20200328

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

25.  If you asked them Who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would certainly say, "Allah."  Say, "Praise be to Allah."  But most of them understand not.

Luqman 31:25

Act naturally

Hi Natty!  How are you?  I hope you are having a good time, and enjoying your own cooking.  Practice, practice, practice!  Practice with small portions!  Now don't you worry so much about them bullies who are jealous about your position.  I choose to marry you, and I will marry you inshaAllah.  So just relax and enjoy the country life.  Try some gardening!

I've been going about getting supplies, preparing for a stricter lockdown coming in April.  My fridge isn't that big, so I have to plan what with and when I can stuff my fridge.  I'm not too worried about the utility bills because they're government, but my Internet bill needs to be paid.  I have the money, but they're closed.  I sure hope they're not going to be stupid bastards about it, I hope I can find a way to pay them so it's a non-issue.  Otherwise, apart from my smuggling Mary in here for her vocal sessions, I'm just doing what comes naturally: being an isolated loner.

Cobra

Hi Natty!  How are you?  How's puppy?  He reminds of a jacket you always used to wear.  I hope it's easy living for you both, and no worries whatsoever.  It rained again today, which means no yard work.  Hooray!  I'm so lazy!  Instead I cooked and ate my dinner slowly, while listening to the jukebox.  No yard work today means more yard work tomorrow, because grass and weeds grow fast around here.  Especially after the rain.  But I absolutely have to get back on Second Life and do more fashion.  I'm so hooked!  Fashion is SO addictive!

This virus is like a cobra that we have to go beat to death with a stick.  When we walk away, it gets back up so we have to go back and beat it down again.  Then we walk away again, and it gets up again so we have to go back again and beat it down.  It takes about 5 or 6 times before it stays down.  But it doesn't look dead...

Lavender

Hi Natty!  How are you?  How's the country life suiting you?  Lots of time for meditation, huh?  You might think there's nothing to do, but that's not true at all.  It rained today, so I didn't have to do much yard work.  I did have time to rake up some dry leaves and set them ablaze right before the water came down.  This morning started off hot and humid, so much so that I thought I had a fever, but now it's so comfortable that I was able to nap right before sunset.  But after I post this, it's back to Second Life with more fashion fashion fashion with Mary Unknown7!  Work that I enjoy!

Mary's favorite color is lavender!

Cats and dogs

Aw, puppy!  Natty, he looks like a rug!  What's his name?  I like dogs.  I love cats, but I like dogs too.  Especially if they're loved and well taken care of.  Muslims aren't supposed to keep dogs, something about the Prophet (peace be on him) saying something about angels don't enter a house where there is a dog inside and pictures of humanoids on the walls.  I don't recall an absolute ban though, and a dog are mentioned in a positive manner in the Qur'an.  The locals here view dogs as vermin, and regularly shoot the wild dogs.  Did I tell you about the dog I once took home?  I found a couple of puppies by the dumpster, waiting for someone by a tree.  The next day when I took out the trash there was only one left, still waiting.  So I felt sorry for it, took it home, gave it a bath, cleaned its teeth, and fed it.  It was Friday, and I had to go to Friday prayer.  While I was gone, the puppy barked up a racket.  So when I got home, my parents made more noise than the dog so I had to take it to the edge of the jungle away from humans, and leave it there.  No folks, I didn't want a dog and I don't want a dog.  I JUST WANTED TO SHOW THE ANIMAL SOME KINDNESS.

Yesterday I mentioned that my cats in heat haven't been spraying my bedroom door.  Since I mentioned that, they began spraying my bedroom door with gusto.  Cats.  I love my cats though, I've always loved cats, now more than ever.  Ya Allah, thank You for my kitties.  Please protect them and give them long happy healthy lives.  I wrote a song about cats and dogs a while ago, I published it here in this blog!  It's so easy, anyone can sing it, it doesn't need music, just some rhythm!  It goes:

Kitty Cat Kitty Cat, meow meow meow!
Doggy Woggy Doggy Woggy, bow wow wow!

And you repeat it over and over and over again until you can't stand it anymore.  What do you think?  It's a hit!  It's a hit!

Sprayed

Hi Natty!  How are you, my love?  I hope you are doing nice and comfortably, and oh so easy living.  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart, and not to worry about a thing because everything will turn out awesome for us inshaAllah.  Oh, I'm doing OK here.  Both of my cats are in heat right now, so I can't say it's peaceful around here.  I suppose it's entertaining to you folks that they sing along to whatever, but I am constantly on guard with the mop and bucket of bleach water, ready to react to whatever they spray.  This time around they've been leaving my bedroom door alone, showing preference for my bathroom door instead.

I had to go out and get groceries this evening.  Right now the government has implemented a Movement Control Order where everyone has to stay home, and only one person per family can go out to get supplies.  So I went to the big supermarket downtown to get some of that fancy rice that my Mom likes so much, among other things.  Soldiers have been mobilized to enforce the MCO, so when I got there they pointed a laser thermometer at my forehead and sprayed me.  No not like a cat, but with sanitizer.  Otherwise it was a pleasant drive, because there was very little traffic.  This virus is not a blessing.  It is a SMALL sign of Judgement Day.  I guess in that sense it is a blessing because everything is a blessing, and sometimes we misinterpret.

Compromise

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I wish I were there with you.  It must be beautiful over there.  I just checked the calendar, and Ramadan is one month away!  I need to start preparing.  Well, mentally.  I still have to work during the day, and Mary still has to sing.  You don't have to fast, Honey.  Only Muslims must fast during Ramadan.

I use the Linden Labs viewer for Second Life, for Mary Unknown7.  This is because I want her to be seen in the same light as the noobs (newbies) use.  Lately we've been upgrading her avatar, and we finally settled on a all-mesh avatar that she's satisfied with.  Linden Labs automatically updates their viewer, and they did so last night, and harsh shadows appeared on Mary's new avatar, so bad that we had to use an older one.  I accept the automatic updates, but I'm so happy that I don't have to use Windows 10.  Instead of wallowing in conspiracy theories, which is unpractical, I accept that there was a good reason.  As it pertains to Mary's avatar, the new mesh avatar doesn't move lips when she sings: the animation is for the system avatar head.  We all want her performance to look as good as possible.  Perhaps they wanted her to go back to using the system head, which she had to for today's session.  I thought that instead of messing with her new avatar, they could have included an animation for mesh heads.  But there are other things going on as well, like the fact that Mary is now using the stream not the voice feed.  I asked Mary what she thought about having to go back to the system head.  She said the system head looks better.  Hm.  I think she's right.  It does look better.  Damn.  What do you think?
