Spiral

Hi Honey!  How's it going today?  I suspect during this season, you are doing plenty of charity and good things, being the kind and beautiful person you are, more of a beautiful human being than I could ever hope to be.  Crossing the door to the other side still means we have to live day by day, we have to eat, and maintain some sort of routine.  You can't call that chaos- but I spiral down to the ground as usual, and be practical with what Allah has given me.  We can't eat sushi everyday.  We would get sick of it!  I love sushi though- I could eat 100 portions of it, but I would get bloated, and nobody would love me.  Did you know that sushi was once the poor man's food of Japan?  So today's dinner is just simple old rice and fish, but you are more than welcome to share my food.
Hi Natty honey!  Oh, what a pretty twin you have.  I've never had to live out of a suitcase, well not for long periods of time that is.  Let's just say that I have had to live on a different kind of edge than you.  But I do offer you a marriage where we settle down and stay in one place and get rooted and raise a family inshaAllah.  I need my wife, so I will keep my promise inshaAllah.  My wife has to follow me and help me with my agenda, but I promise you that it's important and worthwhile.   Do you like horses?  I've never ridden a horse, but I've been riding situations all my life.  So ride your situation, and have a blast.  Be safe, and pray.

Qur'an 20171102

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

64.  Say, "Is it someone other than Allah that you order me to worship, o you ignorant ones?"

65.  But it has already been revealed to you, as it was to those before you, if you were to falsely worship, truly fruitless will be your work, and you will surely be in the ranks of those who lose.

66.  No but worship Allah, and be of those who give thanks.

Top of the mountain, and the creature in the sewer

Hi Honey!  How are you feeling today?  I hope you are keeping safe, for as you know you not anonymous anymore.  In fact, you are renowned for your beauty.  You are beautiful, and I love you so much.

Yay!  I went back to the store and today they had seaweed sheets!  I had no idea they had stocked seaweed sheets since I was there yesterday- I came back to get whatever seaweed was available, and adapt to that.  But now I can make California rolls!  I went to the market very early this morning, right after the dawn prayer, about 6:30 am.  On the way there, I stopped by that new sushi restaurant.  This is a small town, but I could smell the city.  I know what the city smells like, because I used to live in the city- it's the smell of the sewer.  Note to the local authorities: control the sewer now before you build a city over it.  Anyway, I took a glimpse of the food they serve in a photo on the glass door.  Salmon?  Imported fish?  They are fools not to use local fish!  Yeah I guess some people like salmon, but local fish is fresher and superior.  I suppose I should give them the benefit of the doubt, so I'll just have to go in sometime and buy some food.  Not today though.  Instead I spent my money on fish: some cheap fish for Floofy's fish smoothies, and a huge Spanish mackerel.
What a beautiful fish.  Compare the size of the fish I bought to the cutting board, and the 2 sheets of newspaper it rests on.  Big, huh?  I've never had fresh Spanish mackerel before, but when I tasted it I knew I had stepped up on the fish hierarchy.  Have you ever had snapper before?  Spanish mackerel is like fatty snapper meat, with the texture of a firm ganache.  Oh, heavenly!  Fishmongers don't fillet fish around her, so I had to do it myself.  I'm not the best at filleting fish because I haven't had the practice- I usually can only afford small fish, and who wants to fillet that?  So there are 4 fillets to this fish- the left and right upper halves and stomach halves.  I was doing quite well, then I lost my patience in the the final fillet and therefore mangled it.  So that's what I had for lunch, mangled Spanish mackerel fillet sashimi.  Oh, heavenly!
For dinner I had sushi.  I don't use a bamboo roller, and I probably could have done a more creative arrangement, but I was hungry.  Looks good enough to me.  Want some sushi?  Yes Honey, you put the whole thing in your mouth, leaves and all.  Sorry folks, family only!

Natty,
           Love is a stranger
           Who beckons you on
           Don't think of the danger
           Or the stranger is gone
That being said, please wear a helmet when you ride your bicycle or scooter.  You are no longer anonymous either.  I told you that, remember?

Ya Allah, please protect my wives.

Sushi

That was a fun post the last time, huh?  Certainly being an adult isn't very funny, so we have to get our humor whenever and wherever.  Doing endorsements is just one aspect of my business diversity, and the beauty of it is that I can endorse whatever, as long as I believe in it inshaAllah.  Of course I have been doing endorsements for a long time now along with other things, so inshaAllah everything will pile up and compound together in a payoff for me, perhaps I will attain wealth enough to marry.  At least at this point people have stopped trying to kill me so that they don't have to owe me anything, alhamdulillah.  For the most part, that is.  Not that I have ever asked them for anything.  I ask Allah.  So don't give up on us, baby.  Observe, and strengthen your heart.  Allah will bring us together inshaAllah, so have faith.

Other projects this month are pizza and sushi.  The pizza ingredients were easy enough to gather.  But there's a new sushi restaurant opening in town, and this one is straight from Japan believe it or not.  Out here in the sticks!  And suddenly, I can't find seaweed sheets anywhere.  Hm.  I guess this means I have to design boutique sushi rolls not even the Japanese have ever thought of.  InshaAllah.  That's the story of my life, doing the best I can with what Allah has given me.

Hey Natty, you beautiful girl!  What's up, Sweetie?  I'm sure you are over Halloween by now, it's just an excuse to dress up and party.  Well, try to rest while you have the chance.  Partying is work too, so please don't overwork.  Stay clean, safe and healthy.

Qur'an 20171031

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

46.  Say, "O Allah!  Creator of the heavens and the earth!  Knower of all that is hidden and open!  It is You that will judge between Your servants in those matters about which they have differed."

47.  Even if the wrongdoers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the penalty on the Day of Judgement, but something will confront them from Allah which they could never have counted upon.

48.  For the evils of their deeds will confront them, and they will be encircled by that which they used to mock at.

Fried chicken

Hi Honey!  Are you hungry?  Today's project is fried chicken.  I do know how to fry up my own chicken, but I'm so unmotivated to do so because it generates such a mess, and you can't reuse the oil.  Besides, everybody else on the planet makes fried chicken.  I used to walk into KFC in the States and ask them, "I would like to have 2 breasts, please".  That joke is lost in translation here, and today I bought 3 breasts from the 3 separate local vendors at the night market down the street.  The last time I bought 3 breasts at KFC locally it cost me a little less than RM12, and that was a few years ago.  Today I spent RM12.20, and I think I got about the same amount of meat.
This one cost RM1.70.  I like this one the best because the flavor and crunch appeals to me the most, not to mention it's the cheapest.  They also have RM1 portions, which are smaller of course.
This one cost RM3.50.  There's more meat of course, and the batter is very well distributed throughout the chicken, making for a more absolute crunch.  Mild but good.
This RM7 portion clearly has the most amount of meat, but you get what you pay for.  In all fairness, they were about to cut it up and add more spices to it so it had more flavor coming, but I told them to pack it as it was.  It looks huge, but it's actually just a half rib that has been butterflied.
