41.  We have explained variously in this Qur'an, in order that they may receive admonition, but it only increases their flight.

42.  Say, "If there had been gods with God as they say, behold!  They would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne!"

Hi Natty!  Yes Honey, that's a beautiful photo.  It's an older one, I already have it in my slideshow.  You're so pretty, Natty.  I'm sure many girls have fallen in love with you by now.  Pretty girls, too.  What!  She wants you to be the man?  How insulting!  Natty, YOU be the girl.  I will look after you inshaAllah, because you are MY girl.  I kind of guessed this would happen.  It's a trip, huh?  And there's a LOT of pretty girls out there.  My advice is to be careful of the kiss.  A kiss isn't just a kiss when you put your heart into it.  The emotional high coupled with lust will make you crave for more.  Then you will want to be the man.  Please save yourself for me.  I love you with all of my heart.  Would you like to see my favorite snapshot of you?  It's this one:

Isn't that a gorgeous photo?  It absolutely melts my heart.  It makes me want to kiss you over and over again.  Anyway, I'm still into ramen research.  The other day, I made a dark broth using carrots, seaweed, ginger, cilantro and Vietnamese coriander.  It was very thick and tasty.  Today I made a white broth.  Looks good, huh?  It's made with garlic, onion, mustard green stems, potato and ginger.  It works, but the ginger is a bit strong.  I'll use less next time.  Hm, it tastes almost like Campbell's cream of chicken soup.  It must be the chicken bouillon I used for MSG.

Hi Natty!  Selamat Hari Raya!  Happy Eid, folks!  Oh Natty, you're at the redwoods.  I'm so glad they've stopped logging those.  Such magnificent trees.  You and your buddy are in uniform?  How intriguing!  Yes Honey, it's the Eid today, which means no more fasting month.  The calendar says it's Ramadan 30.  From what I observed, the Arabs decided to celebrate the Eid one day sooner, and this country followed suit.  The formal method of determining the Eid is an official body having sighted the new moon.  Do you think they sighted the new moon over the span of all those countries?  What, no cloud cover?  I guess I don't really care.  I'm so happy!  I get to drink my Starbucks in the afternoon!

Towards the end of Ramadan, I had been watching a lot of Japanese ramen videos.  At first I thought Japanese ramen was simple in constitution, but it turns out they put a LOT of stuff in the soup.  God, I miss my ramen.  There was no convenient time to prepare and eat ramen during the fasting month.  Anyway, I was entertained by the process of making Tonkatsu ramen, where they boil hundreds of kilos of pork bones and fat to get the a thick and sickly green soup.  I wondered why do they cook so many bones, and still need to add MSG?  And what do they do with all the seaweed and vegetables that they dumped into the pot?  Do they just chuck all those veggies away?  The answer is that even with 400 kilos of pig, the broth is tasteless unless they add MSG.  I figured that if I needed to add MSG anyway, then only a couple of beef bones would be enough.  And all the vegetables that got cooked until soft, I blended that and put it back into the soup.  The result is a very tasty and thick sickly green broth for my ramen.  Success!  Alhamdulillah!  And it's halal!  I guess one would argue that it would be missing that fatty feeling.  Hm, next time I'll add some butter.

Hey fashion designers!  Good photography matters!  It doesn't matter how powerful you think you are, what's the point of beautiful clothes when you make your girls look like drug addicts?  I had to pass by 3 or 4 designers because of bad photography before I settled on the Alexis Mabille SPRING 2022 READY-TO-WEAR collection:

23.  Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but God, and that you be kind to parents.  Whether one or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of contempt nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor.

24.  And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility and say, "My Lord!  Bestow on them Your Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood."

25.  Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts.  If you did deeds of righteousness, verily God is Most Forgiving to those who turn to God again and again.

The one good thing that grew like mad

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my love?  I hope all is cool and calm and easy for you over there.  It is a nice cool day over here.  By the end of the month, one gets used to fasting.  It becomes no big deal at all, I don't feel thirsty, I don't feel hungry, I don't feel much of anything at all.  I guess it could just be a nice day, so alhamdulillah.

The one thing that I do eat that grew like mad for me is ginger.  I started of with a piece the size of a quarter, and ended up with 5 times the amount you see above, in about 6 months.  Crazy, huh?  I grew the ginger in flower pots, and the chunk in the photo I harvested yesterday.  I would wrap the ginger up in newspaper and keep it in the drawer, but cockroaches love fresh ginger.  If I kept it in the cooler it would shrivel up, so I had to put it in a tupperware after wrapping it up.  On the menu tonight is steamed rice with ginger chicken!  Very tangy, tasty and extremely good for you!  Would you like to join me for dinner?
