Addicted to snacks

 

Oh, Misty Mountains!  Are you still in Utah, Natty?  No, I never marched up and down steep wooded slopes like that.  SLC suburbs are built on the hillsides, and I had to go uphill to the recording studio and downhill to the pizza joint.  It's much easier to march and read a book at the same time if you were marching on a road.

Are you addicted to snacks, Natty?  I had lunch downtown today and when I got back, Adolf Kitler @ Mr. Meower was moaning incessantly because he didn't get any snacks for lunch.  But I brought back some produce!  No, cats don't like fresh vegetables.  What was I supposed to do, put him in the motorcycle basket and take him with me to Omar's for rice vermicelli soup?  Later, I caught Lookie @ Princess Purrer ripping through empty plastic bags looking for tidbits.  Don't shred those, I need to recycle them!  Yes, they get enough cat food.  I'm afraid my cats are addicted to snacks.  I gave them some snacks for dinner, then I let them lick the wok.  Are you addicted to snacks, Natty?  Please don't get bloated!

Walkin'

 

Hi Natty!  How's it going?  I hope you are doing well, and all is easy-going for you.  I had a flat tire yesterday, yeah I've been riding the same tube for about 6 years and it finally gave out.  I don't really want it to give out like that, so from now on I'm going to replace my tubes regularly.  Driving it to the shop 2 miles away was no big deal: it was the front tire, so I put my weight on the back tire and drove REAL slow.  But the guy ran out of tubes yesterday, and he had to get more.  Which means I had to come back in the evening, which means I had to walk 2 miles twice.  I don't have the same strength I did 30 years ago, when I would march up and down the SLC mountainside while reading Nietzsche.  I can still walk the distance, but very slowly and watching each step.  When we go walking together inshaAllah, you're going to have to slow down to keep up with me.  When the day was over, I had to buy my dinner.  Good thing the night market is tonight.  I got takeout rice, like you see above.  Tasty and filling, and surprisingly easy on the tummy.  You must try some someday.

Hi Natty!  How are you today, Honey?  I hope you are feeling great and having a fabulous time.  It's Sunday over here.  I have a flat tire, so I'm not going anywhere.  I'll get it fixed tomorrow morning, inshaAllah.  It turns out that I don't have much in my cooler right now, but I do have my generic roast beef, sliced bread and cheese, and some eggplant.  Eggplant with soy sauce?  Sounds simple enough.  I usually fry eggplant with salt and pepper until soft.  Simple!  Then I added chunks of my roast beef, and had beef and eggplant sandwiches.  Very simple!  Want one?

Ramadan

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope all is going well for you over there.  Things are really stepping up for us right now, so please don't take your life and position for granted, Mrs. Rock Star.  Please don't hide behind my feet, because I can't see you there and I have clumsy feet.  Stand by my side OK!

Ramadan begins April 3 and according to my calculations, it should be an intense one this year.  Anything could happen, and is poised to happen.  Most people dread Ramadan because they don't get to stuff their faces whenever they feel like it, but I like Ramadan.  The first week is always rough, and I have to work everyday without excuse.  I'm not young anymore, so my focus on the first week is not to get wiped out so I can still do a good job.  InshaAllah.

Al Fatihah (The Opening) is the first chapter of the Qur'an, and every Muslim must memorize it as it is essential to prayer.  Natty, please memorize Al Fatihah by the time we marry inshaAllah.  In Arabic.

I didn't have access to the dressing room because someone was lurking there, so I had to take today's snapshots onstage.  Oh no, I forgot Saturday is gown day again!  I'm just going to have to have Mary wear more gowns whenever:

Ramadan starts on April 3, and Malaysia reopens her borders on April 1.  So it's going to be a crazy Ramadan, wackier than usual.  I would like to remind the locals to be on their guard, because anything can happen.  It's the end of the world!  What with people looking for God, or looking for a mystery, or looking for a singer...  Singer?  What singer?  I don't see any singer!  Go watch American Idol or The Voice or something.
