Buy the food!

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope all is well with you, and you are having a wonderful time.  I'm feeling better than I did yesterday.  I recently changed up my workout to phase out sit ups which I thing are worthless, and replace them with leg exercises.  Which left me with a pain in my butt, but I'm getting over it inshaAllah.  Hey, check out the video above.  I remember spending over 70 bucks for dinner once at Benihana just for an itsy bitsy steak and some lousy vegetables.  I'll bet the meal above cost an arm and a leg.  What you're paying for is the show, which isn't worth it if you already know how to cook and can afford the ingredients.  If I wanted to hear him play the drums, I would go to a rock concert!  But I'm sure you would enjoy such a show while waiting for your food.  What really impressed me is that flat grill.  I'm seriously thinking about owning one if I could afford it.  Cleaning it involves scraping the grease and trash into a drain at the side, and it would be tough to keep it that shiny forever, so a black one would be better.  I can't toss and juggle utensils like this guy, though.  Hell, it costs me half my sanity just cleaning and putting away the dishes.

I spent more time in the kitchen today over yesterday.  I made fried curry noodles for lunch.  Which is really simple folks, just make noodles in curry then cook off all the moisture in the curry!  It worked out quite well, and I have some left over.  For dinner, I went and spent money at the night market.  This is a responsibility of our family Natty, we must patronize other merchants so please make sure you do that.  Pandemic or no pandemic, don't let the economy die.  I bought takoyaki, fried fish sausage, and some cakes and sweets from a little old lady.

Custom lighting made strange shadows on Mary's outfit, but had a nice effect on her face.

Day by day

Hi Natty!  How are you?  Are you still excited?  Please do try to relax, and stay calm.  I've been trying to tell you for a long time already, it's just the same old day.  Let's work towards coming together in marriage OK?  I've wanted to be married for a long time already.  The best I can do is to live day by day.  Today I feel kind of tired, but Sunday is a busy day so I hobble on.  Nothing special on the menu today, I don't feel creative in the kitchen, I just want to eat and move on.  I have more to do on the computer, so I'm going to nap after this then continue after the night prayer.  You keep safe now, my darling.  I love you!

Kibble

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my love?  I hope you are healthy and keeping safe.  How's your tummy?  My tummy is very pleased with me.  I ate cheeseburgers and fries last night, and my stomach is very happy about that.  Lookie licked the leftover oil in the wok from the fries, then later threw up her dinner.  I should have known better and reacted wiser: that cat can only eat kibble.  But my heart sometimes gets swayed when she begs (intimidates) me for a taste.  I have a sensitive stomach too, that's why my tummy loves plain old cheeseburgers and fries.  But I like to experiment with food, and I have enough knowledge to be able to try out new things without testing my stomach too much.  With all the sensitive tummies in the world, why doesn't someone make kibble for humans?  You won't have to think about cooking, just pour some into a bowl and it would be the perfectly balanced meal.  If you wanted a change, then just buy a different flavor.  No mess, no fuss.  Think what you will, but I know kibble for humans would be a big hit.

But I didn't eat kibble for dinner.  I went to the supermarket in the morning, and bought some Australian beef.  I have a strange relationship with the discounted Australian beef cuts freezer at the supermarket.  Once I used to buy beef liver, now it's no longer there.  Then I bought beef bones, now it's no longer there.  What's left is beef lung (which I don't like, but there is a possibility I can process it into something palatable) and beef spleen.  I've never had beef spleen before.  What is a spleen?  According to Google, a spleen is "an abdominal organ involved in the production and removal of blood cells in most vertebrates and forming part of the immune system."  So I bought a portion to try it out.  I cut a small piece off and cooked it in teriyaki sauce to see what happened.  It turns out that beef spleen tastes like beef liver, but is chewier.  This tells me that I should give it heavy flavoring and cook it well done, since it's not going to get hard like liver.  So I made liver and onions in tamarind sauce, a local standard, to go with my sliced bread.  It seemed to work.  I don't know if it were a success, because I got a psychosomatic "it's not steak" feeling when I ate it, but I don't think my tummy has any complaints about it.

Mayo

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my beloved?  I hope you are feeling well, and everything is smooth sailing for you.  So, what's the news?  Over here, Lily has gone out of heat so her brother Adolf Kitler doesn't have to sleep outside in the motorcycle cage anymore for now.  Lookie is still in heat, but she hisses him away.  Poor Adolf.  Can't have sex with his sister.  The other female is horny, but she doesn't want to have sex with him.  It's tough sometimes to be a man.  I mean, cat.

I had cheeseburgers for dinner today.  Yeah I've been in the mood for cheeseburgers lately, that's what I want to eat, I can't help it.  The difference today is that I went out and bought lettuce and tomatoes.  Huge difference.  So it's just a basic cheeseburger: bread, mayo, lettuce, tomato, beef patty, and sliced cheese.  Except my home made mayo was a flop.  I added the grease in too son.  I used to make mayo with 4 eggs at a time and it turned out nice and firm, but today I only used one egg.  Yeah yeah, excuses excuses.  Maybe it's God's way of telling me that I suck at making mayo, and I should just buy the damned stuff.  But I'm stubborn.  I'll get it right, inshaAllah.

Pristine

Ah Natty, you are a pristine beauty.  Like you came out of a science fiction movie.  Or one of the ladies in white when Bond was lured into the pyramid in "Moonraker".

It is a dangerous vibe, though.  In the next scene, Bond had to fight the anaconda.  At least I know what color outfit Mary Unknown7 is wearing next.

Sambal petai cheeseburger

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  How is your exciting life?  Please stay safe, and guard your health.  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart.  I had to go downtown in the morning, and mingle with the crowd at the bank.  What to do, I had to make a deposit to pay bills.  They were quite organized there though, and practiced social distancing.  It's the stuffy, crowded areas we need to avoid.

!!!WARNING!  ONLY LOCALS WILL UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH!  THEY MAY NOT LIKE IT, BUT THEY WILL UNDERSTAND IT!!!

I was feeling adventurous for dinner.  I still have a lot of bread so I'm still in cheeseburger mode, but... I discovered a long time ago that "sambal belacan" (hot sauce made from chillies and "belacan"(fermented shrimp paste)) and melted cheese was a perfect match.  But I happened to have hot sauce with "petai" (bitter beans) in my cooler.  I was dying to try this experiment.  It's not for the faint hearted though, "petai" is kind of stinky going in and going out, but it really cranks up the flavor of rice dishes in particular.  I loved it on my cheeseburger, I wanted to put more.  No I don't think you would like this, Natty.

Real cheeseburger vs soy cheeseburger

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope you are having a great time, and keeping safe and healthy.  I'm doing OK over here, just the usual going on.  I blew the dust out of my house in the morning, and cleaned the reservoir.  Lunch was rice with curry and poached eggs.  The females are too much to deal with when they are in heat, so I kept them in the kitty litter room while I was cooking.  So Adolf Kitler was my kitchen buddy all day.  He loves being my kitchen buddy, and I pamper him.  I have to be watchful though, because he likes to stick his tail in the fire.  He has a fluffy tail, I guess he's too macho for it and wants to burn it off.  I made a real cheeseburger vs. a soy cheeseburger for dinner.  I actually prefer sliced bread for cheeseburgers (softer), but I had to travel further to get it- the sundry shop didn't have any bread at all.  The grocer was closed too, so I didn't have lettuce and tomatoes.  I really must buy an electric mixer for making mayo, the blender is just too harsh to use.  Soy meat takes a long time to cook, because you have to generate a crusty exterior.  Plus keep it oiled up, because it really sticks to the pan.  Perhaps I should use oil not water for my next batch of soy meat.  I used real cheese.  I don't like soy cheese.  We used to put soy cheese on pizzas at the pizza joint, and the stuff never melted.  Both the cheeseburgers were good I think, but the soy meat was saltier.  Lettuce and tomato would have really cranked up the flavor of the soy burger, while the beef burger didn't need it.

This guy does an excellent job of putting guitar to public freakouts.  However, the real star of this video is the dog.
