Internet problems

Hi Natty.  How are you feeling, my love?  I'm sorry I wasn't able to sing at Fireside today, if you were happened to be waiting to listen.  Internet problems.  I'm preparing to change my ISP, but since I obviously have Internet now I'm going to have to give my current ISP one last chance.  I'm especially sorry for the folks out there who need me to get some sleep.  But really, you people need to learn how to relax.  Pray and ask God to help you sleep.

Natty I know your love life sucks, but my love life sucks too.  I need to be married, but I must be the one who finances our family.  So please don't hurt or kill yourself, because Allah has been really nice to you.  Think about what you DIDN'T have to do to get to the position you are now.  I want you to know that I love you and care for you, and I will take care of you inshaAllah.  So please do as I say and be patient, pray that God grants me wealth enough to marry soon, and protect your health and your chastity.  Meanwhile, have fun with your career OK?

What's the news?

Hi Natty!  How are you today, my darling?  What's the news?  Oh there's nothing much going on over here, just the usual.  I'm longing to be with you, of course.  I made some stuffed won tons in the morning for lunch.  They are so tedious to make.  They took 2 hours to make, and they were gone in 5 minutes.  Stuffed won tons are quite good, I'm sure you would enjoy them.  I cut the grass in the evening, then had leftover fried noodles for dinner.  Very filling.  I guess it's another "no spending" day for me.

I'm wearing mesh hair in these snapshots below.  Mesh hair isn't as fluffy and bouncy as flexi hair, but it's usually less complex.  Complexity is an issue in Second Life if you want others to see you, especially the new users who have no idea how to adjust the complexity settings on their viewer regardless of how powerful their pc is.  Of course, if your pc is powerful then complexity should be no problem, and you should be able to see everyone quite effortlessly.  An avatar is not just a personal statement but an art form.  And for chick singers like me, my appearance is my business, vanity though it is.  I love looking at other avatars, but it eats up my data, so I prefer to be alone when I sing.  Photo locations like the one below also eat up my data, so I will have to do them sparingly.  The location credit is Winter Wonderland.

Standard recipe plus extra stuff

Hi Natty!  How are you doing today, Honey?  Keeping busy, I suppose.  You shouldn't be feeling disoriented or overwhelmed, because you've been on this crazy carousel for a couple of years already, you should be used to it.  If anything, I think since you're such a resilient girl, you might be getting too tough or paranoid.  Don't be too strong or paranoid Honey, it will ruin your fun.  Do what you can to keep safe, then let go.  Pray, and put your trust in Allah.

I couldn't get back to sleep after the dawn prayer this morning, so I went to the market downtown.  There wasn't much choice for fish.  I hope it isn't from overfishing, but most likely there is another temporary market happening somewhere else.  I wasn't there for fish anyway, I was getting some fixings for fried noodles.  I also bought some tofu and won ton skins, so it's going to be stuffed won tons tomorrow inshaAllah.  I had some extra vegetables in my cooler like cucumber, broccoli and mustard greens plus the meat I got from the chicken carcass I stewed yesterday, plus I bought a kilo of fish balls.  Fish meat shaped into balls then precooked.  😑  So I put all that extra stuff into my usual fried noodle recipe.  Alhamdulillah.  It turned out OK, certainly not unpalatable.  It tasted like fried noodles with extra stuff.  I guess I'm just used to its being a certain way.  I guess some people would charged extra bucks for that.  But next time, I'll just stick to the standard recipe.

Choking on water

Hi Honey!  What's up, Natty dearest?  How's work?  I hope things are running smoothly for you.  Even if you don't feel ready, you can go with the flow, and cope with what you do have.  You are resilient, you can do it inshaAllah.  I'm blogging a little early today.  Nothing hectic, just waiting for my dinner to cook.  I'm having noodles in chicken broth, so it's a waiting game for the low heat to cook the chicken.  Playing the drums all-out yesterday did a number on me, and my arms and shoulders are hurting.  It's a different situation if I could hammer on them everyday, but I guess I'm just a fugitive, and I have to hide the music.  I choked on water right after the first song during voice training.  Imagine that, choking on water.  It happens more often than I like, and today I lost control of my voice for almost an hour.  Yeah it was pitchy people, I know my flaws when they happens.  But otherwise, the weather is nice and mild today, I have lots of snacks, and I'm in a fairly good mood.

This dress is similar to the dress I wore yesterday, but for some reason it's not as foofoo.  "Foofoo" means exaggeratedly feminine.  I guess being black and having a collar toned it down a bit.  So I wore my favorite hair called "Black Marie".  In Second Life it's known as "flexi" hair, meaning that it's complex and slows down the game.  As opposed to "mesh" hair which is generally of lower complexity.  I find that flexi hair is much more beautiful than mesh hair and photographs extremely well, so I prefer flexi hair over mesh hair.

Drums!

Hi Honey!  How are you feeling, my beautiful Natty?  Aw don't you go counting your fingers again, you have nothing to worry about!  You are a gorgeous high-class model, and I love you.  You are my girl!  Everything is going to be just great inshaAllah.

I finally got around to playing drums again, after such a long long time!  I mean REALLY play the drums, play as if I mean it.  Because DRUMS DON'T LIE: a drummer has to be sincere in order to sound good.  Oh my God, I'm out of practice.  And I'm not as angry as I used to be.  What happened to all my anger?  Where did it go?  I'm playing the drums like a wimp!  😭  Well, I was able to put some emotion into it, but my left wrist got tired.  Lack of practice.  I had some recording to do, and I always record drums first.  But this drummer is a tyrant: it's his way or no way.  So all the other instruments have to adapt to the drummer.  I wish I had a full kit, though.  Ya Allah, please grant me a full kit.  A nice one.  One that I want.  But I love my home made drum, that I made out of an old water reservoir.  It sounds like thunder.  Alhamdulillah.

Is this outfit grey or pink?  I filed it under grey.  The dress is kind of foofoo, and I love wearing a boy's haircut with a foofoo dress.  The contrast generates nice tension.  Don't you agree?
