This isn't a post about fashion actually, I just wanted to bitch about the deplorable selection of apparel available for my hero in Eternium.  I did manage to earn some cosmetic points recently, so I got her some white leggings and a Santa hat.  She actually looks somewhat girlie, finally.  It's sad that a Santa hat is the option to make her look girlie...

Hey, you have more girls in your band lately.  Dancing girls are a big hit!  How about it, Honey?  Get a team of sexy dancing girls to sing backup!  Employ more women!  Don't be a patriarch!

Your new songs sound very inspired!  There's certainly a lot to talk about.

It's more of the same for me.  "Eat shit and live".  Even though I've been eating only ramen and curry pups lately, I won't eat the food in the video.  But I can see how people get hooked on durians because it's soft, sweet and creamy.  Don't heed what the guy in the video says about it.  I prefer a vanilla cone, though.  It's cheaper, too.

How to get a bigger voice

 

In your case, the first thing you have to do is enunciate.  Slow down and speak each word clearly: there's... a... red... house... over... yonder...  When you are able to speak clearly, then put the words together like a guitar solo.  As a singer, your biggest enemy  is your guitar.  Your guitar sits on your voice like a ton of bricks.  Until you beat or match the tone and expression of your guitar solo, you will always be a wimpy singer.  Your singing in NYC was an improvement, though.  Know your range.  It's more important to be comfortable and confident than to hit those hard to reach notes.

By the way, vibrato isn't in the head.  It's in the throat and chest.

Singing

 

Anyone can sing, whether it be some garbled rap or out-of-tune Happy Birthday.  But singing well is not easy.  People talk about a mature voice, which takes a lot of emotional commitment.  Why is that?  Because what is beautiful in a voice can't just be happiness and positivity, because there's not enough of that.  A beautiful voice is also sadness, pain, loss, despair etc.  Sure, there some talented kid singers out there.  But in tandem with music business, few of them survive to become adults.  Or they become insane.

You sound the way you look

 

You sound the way you look.  So does Mary.  Your guitar sounds way bigger than you.  The guys in the video below don't sound the way they look.
