We still have witch doctors here.  They go under the guise of Islam, and they can look like everyday people.  I guess we still have witch doctors everywhere.  Yes, those are crosses they wear.

The rule with pagan rituals is that when you participate with them, then you are one of them.  Don't cross that line, Grace.  It might appear when you're busy playing guitar.

Whatever the spin they present to you about something, witchcraft has one or two results:

1.  Self destruction (substance abuse, sickness, poison).

2.  Separation of husband and wife.

Blue Note Tokyo posted a couple of your songs on YouTube.  Wow, the mix is clean.  That guy Bubby Lewis seems pretty damned loud, but the mix is so clean I can't really tell.  The problem with bass is that it can get overplayed.  People who love speed licks don't have a problem with that, but I'm a writer.  Plus I don't know anyone who can groove to a speed lick.  That he was waiting for you when you walked into the club tells me that they want to hook him up with your band.  Sure he doesn't speed lick all the time, but he doesn't fit in regardless.  He is a great musician, but he doesn't need to be part of a band.  He needs a band to back him up.

Now remember that you can just hide in your bedroom whenever you feel scared, Honey.  You don't have to do a gig you don't want to do.  I envy you though, you are a REAL rock star.  I envy me too, however.  I don't have to go anywhere.  Except my Hajj, of course.  You're not ready to face the supernatural, but it looks like you're going to be tested on this immediately.  God is more powerful than witchcraft!  Don't let anybody con you that witchcraft is God!  Use this incantation when you need it: "I seek refuge with Allah from Satan the rejected".  Do not accept jewelry or trinkets from anyone.

You and Tal look like you should be in the same band.  She has her own agenda though, I doubt she would follow your path.  It's always nice to hear a new approach, and these girls of Nout seem like they're having fun.  The flutist is incredible.  I don't think the rock riffs work well for them, though.  Maybe they need a Marshall stack or something.  I'm not impressed by the posturing over effects pedals, anybody can do that.  But you gotta have fun somehow.

The KEXP concerts have that awkward silence to them.  Traffic would sound better than that silence.  Make sure you bring some fans along when you do this gig, Grace.

Cashews

 

Ah, the cashew tree is finally bearing fruit.  We don't eat cashew nuts around here unless it's already been processed.  But the flesh is sweet and refreshing.  Doesn't last long, though.  I have a lot of fruit right now. mangoes and jackfruit.  God gave me some high quality stuff this year.  But I can only eat so much fruit before I feel nauseous.  I guess I'm not that fruity.
