Spaghetti again?

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I sure hope that you are feeling great, and everything is wonderful and easy for you.  You are MY girl, and I love you!  Busy day over here for me, lots of running and standing around in the morning.  So in the evening I took it easy, and just focused on my dinner.  It's spaghetti again!  Do you know how to boil perfect spaghetti?  Gordon Ramsay is a chef, so he has to add stuff to it but I just use water and pasta.  Tomatoes were on sale at the supermarket yesterday.  They were pre-bagged, some were firm and others were soft.  No big deal, none of them were rotten.  I just turned the soft ones into marinara sauce.  It's a simple sauce, just tomatoes, basil, garlic, black pepper, salt, sugar, and a little bit of tomato soup (cheaper than tomato paste).  Yeah I planted the basil a little early this year, so I will have a bumper crop in time for the Great Pizza Day!  You still haven't told me your favorite pizza toppings Honey, please do so.  Anyway, it was an average but successful spaghetti dinner, even though the cheese was melted sliced cheese.  Damned budget!  Want some spaghetti?

Today's Venice Beach Boardwalk tour has about the same number of homeless encampments as the previous video.  There might be a few extra tents closer to the water's edge.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

 Today is my mother's birthday!  She is 83 years old.  I love you, Mom!

I really would like to continue posting this guy's video here on my blog, but sometimes he gets skanky and irrelevant.  I supposed he's bored with only doing video tours of the Venice Beach to Santa Monica Boredwalk, but that's the only thing I want to see.  What I'm interested in is the situation of the homeless encampments along the Boardwalk.  For the most part, the only thing I would comment on is the change in the number of encampments as I sense it.  Today's video seems to have more encampments than the previous video.

 Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope everything is calm and happy for you.  I hope that business is enjoyable too, try to have fun with what you do.  Now when you dispense charity, I prefer that you do it in secret.  This is because you are too darn pretty!  I am doing OK over here.  It's been a garlic kind of day for me.  I made stuffed won tons to go with my chilli garlic sauce for lunch.  Boy, that stuff is powerful.  I think you would like stuffed won tons.  They're very dainty.  I love them, but I need at least 50 of them.  Dinner was ramen in the beef broth I made the other day.  I put garlic in that, too.  So I can still taste the garlic from the entire day.  It's a pleasant aftertaste, but it's a good thing I haven't spoken to anyone today.

This person makes really good video tours of the Venice Beach to Santa Monica boardwalk, and keeps quite current with it too.  I think I'll post this regularly for now inshaAllah, because I'm curious to see what happens to the homeless.

Bloated

 

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today, Honey?  Don't worry so much my love, just enjoy the time you are having.  Most people who have their own business have a lot of extra time in the early years, so please try not to gain weight.  I'm bloated today!  Ugh!  I overate, twice.  I like my own cooking, Allah gave me some knowledge in cooking alhamdulillah, but today I overate.  I had rice with sunny side up eggs and crunchy anchovies and sauce for lunch.  I also made some home made chilli sauce, no sugar!  The stuff is pretty strong, I put a lot of garlic in it, but it was a success.  I dipped my fries in it for dinner.  I'm so stuffed!  I also made a steak and cheese sandwich (with mushrooms!), but I had to put that aside for a snack later when I get back into my Star Trek Voyager marathon.

Check out the video below, a guy made a video of his journey on an e-bike from the Venice Beach boardwalk to the Santa Monica pier last Sunday the 13th, so it's pretty recent.  There are still a few homeless encampments, but they're up north away from the main area.  These kind of videos make me nauseous.  Oh it's not the content but the visuals, I get the same nausea from modern video games, which is why I don't play many video games anymore.

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling today, my beloved?  Are you still trying to hold back the tears?  What an emotional time for you!  I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart, and I will marry you inshaAllah.  Perhaps while you are patiently waiting for business success, you should occupy yourself with creating art.  I don't draw, but I like the video tutorial above because it reminds me of what Mary Unknown7 does with her singing.  I suppose if I spent the time practicing, I could probably come up with a few shoddy images but I don't have that time.  Plus I'm right in the middle of a Star Trek Voyager marathon right now.  Right after I finish doing wardrobe, I watch Voyager.  Wow, 1997!  I was totally living the Rock and Roll lifestyle back then.  How old were you?  Oh, 3 years old!  Gummi bears!  Amidst the surrealism of that period, I remember watching Star Trek Voyager and watching it now, I realize that show was totally in tune with my life.  I wasn't paying attention back then, but I am now.

I went to the market this morning and bought 8 blocks of fresh tofu.  It doesn't taste fresh past the 3rd day, but it ferments beautifully.  I have some fermented tofu that does a great job giving flavor and thickness to fried noodles.  But I don't want all the tofu to ferment, so I put 4 blocks in the freezer to see how that works out.  For dinner was steak and fresh tofu.  It was OK.  Theoretically it should match, but fish balls would have been better than steak.  Healthy meal though.

What a waste

 

Hi Natty!  How are you feeling, Honey?  I hope all is calm and cool for you, and you are having a great time.  What's on the menu?  Do you cook anything at your new place?  I have some beef simmering on the stove top.  Oh, it's the cheap stuff as usual: India beef in random slices with gristle and fat included.  But I found that the gristle and fat are the best parts if you cooked it a certain way.  Today I modified my approach so I can end up with a clear broth for my ramen.  InshaAllah!

Hey, check out the video above.  The couple in the video seem to have a sustainable products retail store.  It looks nice, but I don't see any crowd in there nor do I see any evidence the crowd has been in there.  For all I know, it could just be a nice production and the main patrons are the homeless.  By the way, do you miss Venice Beach?  I keep seeing news that they're going to clear out the homeless by offering them shelter, then if the shelter is refused then they will use force to remove them.  That's what I understand of the situation.  Of course the shelter is temporary!  Who wants to pay for permanent shelter for the homeless?  I suppose the idea is that they have a certain amount of time to stabilize themselves in their temporary home before being on the streets again.  Within that time, Venice Beach will get cleaned out then tougher anti urban camping laws enacted and enforced.  Well, those people are going to have to go somewhere.

Aw Natty, sleeping beauty.  I would love to fall asleep watching how beautiful you are.  I love you, Natty.  You sleep like an angel or a kitten.. is that for real?  The real issue is whether or not you can stand me when I sleep.  I am a loud sleeper, I snore and gnash my teeth.  That's because my dreams are a war zone.  Plus I toss and turn trying to get there.  Plus I must sleep on the floor, because it helps alleviate the damage my feet do to my lower back.  I injured my feet from working in the food business.  My feet are at least a size 11, possibly still getting bigger.  Can you love a man like me?  Your right eye looks hammered, Natty.  I wish with all of my heart to be with you, but for now please calm your emotions through meditation.  Please pray that Allah brings us together quickly.
