A nice, cool day

Hi Natty!  How are you, my darling?  I hope you are having a great time, and feeling healthy.  I had rice and sardines with eggs for dinner, do you want some?  I guess it's hard to make sardines glamorous, but the locals adore sardines.  So do my cats. I had to lock them up while I prepped the sardines.

It's been a nice, cool day over here, and I'm in a great mood.  But I'm oh so comfortable.  I just wanted to sleep all day.  I want to sleep right now.  But I have stuff to do.  Busy adult, work to do.  This time around, I actually enjoy my work so I don't want to miss out on it by sleeping too much.  Oh, but I love to sleep!  It's so comfortable right now...



Mary Unknown7 has so many black outfits, it's time to try to use them up.  Plus when reviewing new clothes, no more black!  And no more tube dresses either.  Such a lazy design.  Might as well wear a towel.

Everyday

Hi Natty!  I listened to your latest V,OID episode last night.  I was 4 days late though.  I used to check that link all the time but there was no new content, so after a while I just forgot to check it.  I guess that's my fault for assuming that between the 5 or 6 of you, would have something to say everyday.  You don't really need to have a guest speaker to make yourselves credible, after all, you are active.  Ists.  I sure you guys have something meaningful to talk about each day, it is your show right?  So I'll get back checking that link all the time, please forgive me.

Dinner today was rice and poached eggs in curry.  I have so much rice right now, I have to eat it.  So I made a man-sized helping of rice and poached eggs in curry.  It's so easy!  You know how to make curry, right?  You don't?  Blend some chopped onions, water, and a can of anchovies (here we use "belacan" (fermented shrimp paste)), pour it into a mixing bowl, then whip in curry powder until consistent, to the desired strength.  Then fry it up (medium heat!) in enough oil that it would be greasy, until brown.  Turn the heat down to low and add cream and milk (here we use coconut milk), stir and bring to a soft boil.  Taste, add salt if needed.  Easy, right?  Crack a couple of eggs into the curry and bring to a soft boil.  Cover the pot, turn off the heat and wait a few minutes.  Then douse your steaming hot white rice with the curry until the rice is drowning in in curry.

Allah is the One Who brings down the rain

Hi Natty!  How are you?  Is it getting warmer over there?  I hope you are healthy, and enjoying yourself.  Eat some strawberries for me!  I love strawberries!  Oh there's not much going on over here, just the usual.  I did my laundry in the morning.  After that, I went to pick up a food parcel from the local government.  They're giving out food parcels in response to the virus outbreak, and the stay-at-home order as the consequence to it (but I had to go out and get it).  I got a 5 kg bag of rice, sugar, flour, coffee, teabags, condensed milk, sardines, and crackers.  So I had rice in the evening.  Just the usual rice and eggs fare, with hot sauce and crunchy anchovies.  This stuff is usually sold by hawkers by the roadside, but I can make myself and I don't have to go out.  Maybe it's time to eat something else with my rice.  I'm thinking steak.

Sunny side up

Hi Natty!  Oh, you like the sunshine?  There's plenty of that over here.  That's one thing we don't have in common: hot sunny weather depresses me.  Yesterday morning was so miserable, I was weeping on my kitchen counter, I thought God hated me.  Then I had my lunch and cheered up a little bit.  I would love to live in Vancouver.  But my orders are to stand my ground here.  I am not about to defy the instructions that Allah gave me on how to conduct this music.  I will stand my ground here and I intend to die trying.

I saw on the local news about a small group in Vancouver that protested in front of City Hall about defying social distancing and that the coronavirus was fake news, then went about town parading themselves.  Did you hear about that?  I'm sure you have friends in NYC that will tell you about the virus.  That group was so small, though.  It must be fake news.

Hi Natty

Happy Easter, Honey!  Natty, you're so cute!  Aw, thank you for that chocolate bear.  Wait, don't eat it all!  I want some too!  Why did you offer it to me if you were going to eat it?

Muslims don't celebrate Easter, but I did have a couple of sunny side up eggs with my rice for dinner.  I'm not using the ceramic omelet pan anymore, but the sauce pan I use for my ramen.  My sunny side up eggs are turning out better lately.  Not perfect, but better.

Hi Natty!  How are you?  I love you, Mrs. Global.  You probably still aren't used to how beautiful you have become, so please try to stay in your house and not display yourself.  It has been years, my love.  I still don't have the money to show you.  I want to move faster, but I can only move as fast as Allah allows me.  I appreciate your patience with me, and I want to thank you.  Thank you for your love.
