Restless?

Natty, are you excited about something?  Wow, give a girl (who happens to be a guru) an enclave of beauty and peace, and she gets more excited.  I suppose you miss the fast paced life.  I'm sorry, but there's none of that available for you right now, so you're just going to have to enjoy your relaxing environment.  If you like being busy, there are always plenty of good things do on the Internet.  Just don't turn into a bloated computer potato.  Please.

Me, I'm so happy!  Allah gave me the evening off again, so no labor!  Hooray!  Alhamdulillah!  I had an early dinner, then I wasted an hour doing nothing but shut my eyes and enjoy the coolness.  I didn't even bother to look at the computer screen.

It's a beautiful day

Hi Natty!  What's going on?  Are you enjoying country life?  You should get a cowboy hat!  I had a wonderful day today.  Allah gave me the evening off- it rained, so no yard work!  This stay at home order totally suits me just fine.  I didn't have to go anywhere today, not even to dump the trash!  My Mom was considerate enough to generate less than a bag of trash, while I had my usual pint of trash, so it all can wait until later.  So I just cooked and ate my dinner slowly.  And the icing on the cake is that it's cooled down considerably!  I'm so comfortable right now, I'm in such a good mood!  Next is more fashion with Mary Unknown, work that I love to do.  I'm a happy boy today!



This is kind of a sporty look for Mary, for a change.  But not really- nobody can run in those heels!

Failure

Hi Natty!  How are you, my love?  Are you enjoying your life?  It's awesome, right?  Alhamdulillah!  I didn't have to go out today, which is awesome.  Well, I had to take out the trash to the dumpster but that's it.  I did my laundry this morning, and I planted some cilantro and tamarind.  I need to mark where I put the tamarind.  I'm keeping all the young trees at the size of large shrubs.  I can't reach the high fruit is the problem, and I'm not planning on commercial farming.  Ain't no mo!  Lunch was a tofu omelet and fries, and for dinner I had my mother's awesome fish curry with fresh pita bread made from fresh dough.  The law of bread is that it tastes the best when freshly cooked.  Well, I had to let my fresh dough rise for a couple of hours before I could cook it.

Mary Unknown7 is telling me that she fails to reach that high note on "Chandelier" every single time, and she won't sing it unless she can.  I'm guessing that she won't.  I know you kids love that song but keep hopeful, sometimes it takes her months to master a song.  Instead I gave her to sing an old Shadowplay song called "Failure", which I wrote when Andre was still alive.  I remember recording some of tracks in the closet, I think it was the bass drum and the vocals.  I sang this as a baritone, and Mary is going to sing it an octave higher.  She has trouble getting those low notes, especially early in the set.  It's very rare that she sings Karen Carpenter as the first song.



I don't know why I approved this outfit for Mary.  It's unsexy, loud, not consonant with her personality, and too friendly, especially now that we are living in "social distancing" times.  Mary laughed at me and said, "Failure!"

Mango juice

Hi Natty!  How are you, my darling?  I hope you are healthy and enjoying yourself.  Just the usual here for me.  I like the social distancing, but I still have to go out despite it, which is a bummer.  Groceries, you know.  No, not for me.  I made mango juice today!  It's mango season!  I have a few ripe mangoes, so it's simpler to use them up by making juice.  It's like making a smoothie, I just peel the mangoes, dump the meat in the blender, add water and sugar, then whrrrrr!  Yeah these mangoes aren't that sweet, so I need to add sugar.  Very thick stuff, a mango smoothie!  Pour it into jugs, add more water, stir it up, now it's in the cooler chilling for a nice, thick and somewhat refreshing cold drink whenever.  Want some?

Not much going on

Hi Natty!  How are you doing?  Is it nice and peaceful over there?  There's not much going on here.  This social isolation actually suits me just fine, I even quite enjoy it.  I didn't have to go anywhere today, but my mother wanted some groceries.  I didn't bring a face mask, so I had to pull my shirt over my head.  They said it was the law to wear a face mask.  Oh really?  My mother gave me some fried rice for lunch.  I put it under a cover while I watered the plants, but today Floofy mastered the art of uncovering the cover.  Blessed be Allah that I was within earshot of her achievement, and was able to save my lunch.  I cut the grass in the evening.  Dinner was chicken, mushrooms, tofu and onions in a pita wrap.  I think it was a success, so alhamdulillah.  Next up is more fashion with Mary Unknown7.  Enjoy the country life, my dearest!

Hi Natty!  Congratulations on your first podcast!  I must say that you sound comfortable and confident, and that is the way it should be!  May you have many many successful years.  Are your buddies still in NYC?  I hope they're doing OK.  You should have told me you were going to do a podcast, I would have been the first to listen to it.  As it is, I'll bet jealous bullies beat me to it!  Well don't let them rattle you my dearest, you sound great.  Hey, do you folks want to hear my girl's sweet voice?  Here's the link!
