Please trust and follow your husband's judgement

Yes Natty, that is a gorgeous jacket.  I used to have a black fringed jacket myself, but I've never seen one that long.  It must be very expensive.

Natty when you marry me inshaAllah, you will be marrying into a unique rock and roll business.  It is also a spiritual path, for both you and me.  So I ask you to please trust and follow my judgement regarding certain matters which may seem to you as vague and hard to understand.  This is not just because I have lived more than twice as long as you, but because Allah has granted me some knowledge of the Qur'an.  For instance, we might cancel our plans to go out at any particular time because it's too dangerous.  Or perhaps a gang of thugs have come into town to carry out a hit.  Or that I isolate myself from the congregation so as not to endanger other people.  Or that I even know who sent those thugs.  Information that you won't get from a class or course.  But it's really no surprise who the culprits are, folks.  Please don't worry, everything will be just fine inshaAllah.  Just get to that quiet place, pray to Allah, and meditate to slow down your heart.

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.

59.  Say, "Praise be to Allah and peace on God's servants whom God has chosen.  Who's better?  Allah or the false gods they associate?"

60.  Or who has created the heavens and the earth, and who sends you rain from the sky?  Yea, with it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of beauty and delight.  It is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in them.  God besides Allah?  No, they are a people who swerve from justice.

61.  Or who has made the earth firm to live in, made rivers in its midst, set thereon mountains immovable, and made a separating barrier between the two bodies of flowing water?  God besides Allah?  No, most of them know not.

62.  Or who listens to the distressed when it calls on God, and who relieves its suffering, and makes you inheritors of the earth?  God besides Allah?  Little is it you heed!

63.  Or who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before God's mercy?  God besides Allah?  High is Allah above what they associate with God!

64.  Or who originates Creation then repeats it, and who gives you sustenance from heaven and earth?  God besides Allah?  Say, "Bring forth your proof, if you are telling the truth!"

Would I dare choose any other?  Of course not.  I'm blogging a little early today, blog and run.  It's Tuesday, and the old master comes to the mosque every Tuesday, and I have to go listen to him talk.  Your flower for today my Queen, is a delicate white rose growing in my yard.

Floofy gave her daughter a punch on the nose this morning in their daily squabble before breakfast.  There was a red scab on Lookie's nose, but it turned out to be light and cosmetic so alhamdulillah.  I'm getting tired of jealous bullies picking on my Princess.  The trouble is I love Floofy so much, I don't want to be harsh with her.  So what do I do with this jealous bully?

Natty, I didn't realize you had such a busy day!  Yes, you are a badass bride.  One minute, and the next you are as gentle as a fawn.  I love those eyes!  Mine are overworked.  One thing that catches my interest, is how Spartan that venue is.  The clothes seem expensive, and there also seems to be an adequately sized crowd.  Perhaps if he had chosen a smaller venue, he could have decorated it and the crowd would have fit perfectly.  Not that there's anything wrong with the concept, my concern is that are you getting paid enough.  What was the name of the collection?

Mornings

Oh Natty, you look just positively marvelous when you just wake up.  I would love to wake up to that...  We're going to need a lot of mouthwash probably.  I'm going to need a lot of drugs.  Mornings are not my best time.  At least I don't have to be at the office/restaurant anymore at 8 am.  Yuck!  I wake up everyday at 4 am.  I feed the cats, then do some worship.  Then I work on the computer, and practice bass/guitar at the same time.  By the time the dawn prayer comes, I'm sleepy again.  So I have a second alarm go off at 7:30 am.  Some days I sleep in, but other days I don't.  Like today.  Sunday mornings, I clean my mother's bedroom.  I wake then immediately go out to buy my lunch, after putting some clothes on.  Then I do daily chores like tidy up the kitty litter area, water the plants, collect water, make my coffee and tea, eat a little then go next door to my mother's house.  I probably don't smell that good, but I have to get to work so there's no time to shower, I'm going to be sweating anyway.  On Sundays I have breakfast (some of the rice I bought for lunch) but other days, lunch is breakfast for me.  After lunch I shower, which helps cool me down for my nap.  So everyday is go go go from the moment I wake up, so sometimes I sleep in for pleasure's sake.  This is necessary to get all the daily chores done plus lunch, so I can nap before Mary Unknown7's session.  I need that nap: if it's too hot then I nap in the lotus position in front of the fan.  If I don't nap then Mary would put me to sleep, when I need to be working.

She sure is pretty though, and I love her very much.  I will marry her, inshaAllah.

How old are these women, anyway?  They can sure make a great TikTok video, though.

A face in the crowd

Natty, you're so cute!  I absolutely had to put that photo in my slide show.  It makes me want to kiss you over and over, and your beautiful shoulder too!  Mwah!  It's useful to have professional photographers compose your shots for you, but it's even more helpful to be as pretty as you are.  I don't take selfies anymore.  I've given up all hope of ever being pretty while I'm still alive.  I recently renewed my ID (known as IC here), to update my photo now that I've become an old man.  So here's me, as another face in the crowd.
