Bamboo shoots sauerkraut

Hi Erin!  How are you doing, Honey?  Are you coping well with big business?  You should be used to it by now.  Keep your precious heart nice and relaxed, and your body healthy.  I love you, OK!  I'm just chillin' here, and listening to Covet.  I have my nights free while I'm waiting to replace my Internet computer.  Maybe I will watch a movie or play a game.

You don't have German blood in you, do you?  I love hot dogs cooked in sauerkraut.  The stuff in cans are overpriced if available.  That much for pickled cabbage?  Forget it!  However, making it myself is a hassle, because of the space it consumes in my cooler.  So I make my sauerkraut out of bamboo shoots.  I get bamboo shoots sporadically whenever the plant gives it to me, I don't like it fresh because it's too bitter, so I soak it in salt water and the end result is that it tastes just like sauerkraut.  But cutting it into fine strands is tedious, so yesterday I put the lot into the blender.  It came out looking like relish, which is workable I think.  Tortillas are cheaper than rice and generate less trash, so dinner was hot dogs with sautéed onions and potatoes topped with bamboo shoots sauerkraut wrapped in tortillas.  Wanna try one?

That's a nice looking bathroom.  You like curved architecture, huh?  I suppose I might have to import artisans.  I kind of expected that.  The material might be available here, I suppose those are 1' by 1' tile sheets, cut up to fit the curves.  It looks stuffy and cramped, maybe I'm seeing only half of it.  I don't like those statuettes.  Please replace them with potted plants.

Less emotion today, please

Hi there, my beautiful Ladies!  How are you feeling today?  I hope you are nice and relaxed, and keeping those emotions under control.  You will have more fun that way.  I just finished my dinner.  I had some liver to use up.  So I fried up some onions, eggplant and potato, marinated the liver in turmeric powder and salt, then added that in.  Chicken liver disintegrates easily, so I chopped that up and cubed the beef liver.  After cooking the mix, I used it to stuff a couple of burritos.  A nice, mild dinner.  Want some?  I screwed up Floofy's dinner though.  Lately I have been adding water to her raw chicken breast, because I saw on TV that by adding water to the food, I can increase the cat's hydration.  But that failed, and she puked it out.  Note to cat owners: don't add water to raw chicken meat.  They get enough water from the meat alone, and if they need more then they can go to the water bowl.

Did you see the finale of America's Got Talent?  I believe that Allah intended for Kodi Lee to win, and I'm glad he did.  My question now is, "How are they going to get him to learn more songs?"

80.  Say, "O my Lord!  Let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and Honor, and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and Honor, and grant me from Your Presence an authority to aid."

So serious

Yeah, I have a sense of humor!  In fact, my Mom and I make a great comedy team.  But alas, my mother no longer laughs at my jokes.  Everything has become so serious.  It's the situation that is serious.  And only unbelievers make jokes about Islam.

Here's a funny story.  Some guy was leading me to a conference room full of people, for some sort of job interview.  He told me to shake everybody's hand and introduce myself.  I'm not a politician!  I loathe and avoid such situations!  But since I was already there, I did what I was instructed.  No, I didn't ask for money or anything at all.  Anyway, the old men readily greeted me and sincerely shook my hand.  Then I approached the women, quite a few of them were wearing hijabs.  The women shook my hand with the tips of their fingers, and avoided eye contact.  Except for one, who told me that she didn't like the smell of my hat, which was the one I always wear to the mosque.  So she called the security guard who escorted me out of the room.  I got into an argument with him, and he gave me a pamphlet.  I had just visited the Society of Personal Hygiene.  Hey, I took a shower and brushed my teeth!  Sometimes I shower 4 or 5 times a day!  It figures, fame is when more people want to smell you.  And they will never like the smell.

The rain washes away the haze

Hi Erin!  How are you feeling today, Honey?  Busy as usual, I assume.  Well, I hope you are eating well and getting plenty of rest.  What is life without sleeping and dreaming?  Maybe we can do that together sometime.  Right now, I am keeping an eye on my dinner, which is glutenous rice with fresh tomatoes and salt fish.  Yeah, I really like that stuff.  You should try it someday.  Last night, I made spaghetti for dinner.  It had been raining continuously all day yesterday, so I couldn't go out.  Thus I made the sauce from fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil which I have growing in a pot on my porch.  I cut the tomatoes into cubes, stuffed the basil leaves, garlic and tomatoes into the blender, turned the thing on, then pushed down on the mix until it blends.  Tomatoes have a lot of water in them, do this method works quite well.  But you have to be gentle with the blender.  I had to strain the sauce because of the water.  The sauce turned out a bit green, but I think it was a success.  The rain stopped today, and took the haze along with it.  Unless of course, you didn't get any rain.  So I did some yard work today, and organized the trash for burning.
