We apologize for the interruption in our program

Hi there Natty honey!  What are you up to today?  How is school going for you?  I hope you are doing well, and everything is running smoothly for you.  It's just another average day for me.  I did harvest some coconuts early this morning after doing my chores.  It's time to make curry again, maybe I'll make coconut ranch dressing.  Hm.  The coconuts fell in the mud (which was knee deep) next door, and I fell in the mud trying to retrieve them.  That was annoying.  But after a hose down, I proceeded as usual with the rest of my morning.  I made egg and cheese quesadillas for lunch.  I had 3 of those, with my pickled peppers which are oh so good!  I was stuffed.  Then just now I had take out for dinner.  Fried noodles, which were oh so good!  I'm stuffed.

Voice training got cut short today.  A well placed lightning bolt shut down my Internet, and my set along with it.  Sorry folks, but Allah is The Boss.  Our program should proceed as normal tomorrow inshaAllah.

I really like this next snapshot.  I look so movie star-ish!  I'm using it as my wallpaper right now.

Even more soy

Hiya beautiful Natty!  How are you feeling today, my precious darling?  How are your studies coming along?  I hope you are doing and feeling absolutely fabulous.  I'm still clearing up my front yard, it looks like it will be a while before I remove everything.  Moving earth is a challenge, because I protected the peat pots with wire mesh, and now they're all grown in.  But this morning I spent the morning in the kitchen.  I whipped up another batch of "sambal tumis" (blended onions, chillies and "belacan" (fermented shrimp) fried in oil until saturated).  I find it to be a great go-to hot sauce, you can put it in everything.  I'm confident you will get addicted to it as I am.  When we are married inshaAllah, I will make large batches of the stuff along with others like marinara sauce, dough, ranch dressing, sausage etc.  Hey, I don't want to spend my whole life in the kitchen!  You must learn how to cook!  I will teach you.  Anyway, I used up what's left of the soy meal from my soybean project.  I am determined to master the soybean.  So I tried making veggie burgers today.  Soybeans have a lot of protein in them, so they taste great when browned.  Trouble is if they are undercooked, they become bitter.  So it's either brown or nothing.  No, not black.  Adding flour to the batter feels like cheating, because I don't want to make cake.  So it's going to take some practice to get the right blend.  So that's what I had for lunch.  Veggie burgers.  Keep the salt low when dealing with soybeans.  But for dinner, I had the real thing.  Steak.  Yum.  Want some?

That "smoky" flavor

Hiya Nattikins!  How are you doing, my beautiful precious one?  I hope you are doing great and everything is going great for you.  I'm doing all right.  It's been raining, so I stay indoors because I can't do any yard work.  I did my laundry in the morning.  Then I had BBQ chicken for lunch.  I have a little stone grill (stone lasts so much longer than metal) and I fire it up on the porch, out of the rain.  Ah, one of life's little pleasures, is grilling chicken and eating it at the grill.  It must be a primal sight, my squatting at the grill gnashing at a drumstick with a cat beside me waiting for scraps.  But few things are as blissful as eating fresh off the grill at the grill.  I have a great routine at making BBQ sauce.  I won't list the procedure here, but somehow it has that smoky flavor without using artificial smoke, like mesquite flavor etc.  One may argue that since I'm sitting at the grill, I get that smoky flavor from the actual smoke of the fire.  But no, the flavor is there even before I light the fire.  I don't know how it happened, it's just there.  One of life's mysteries.  I love BBQ chicken.  The tryptophan helps too.  I always sing well after enjoying a BBQ chicken lunch.  It calms my heart and thenceforth, my voice.  Want some?

More soy

Hi Natty honey!  How are you feeling today, my dearest?  I hope you are feeling peachy and having a wonderful time being you and doing what you do.  I'm posting this letter earlier than usual.  It's Tuesday, and I have to be at the mosque before sunset.  Nothing much going on here today.  This month's food project is the mastery of legumes, namely red beans, lentils, and soybeans.  I still have a lot of soy meal from my last experiment.  I always have to experiment with food, to gain knowledge, and to not bore myself.  Soybeans have no gluten, so the soy meal disintegrates when cooked.  So I added flour and eggs, with chopped salt, garlic and onions, to make a batter for croquettes.  Croquettes are normal food around here, usually with shrimp.  Soy meal is actually quite tasty when cooked, after all they make veggie burgers with the stuff.  So my soy meal croquettes turned out quite good.  I need to make the batter thicker next time.  Oh so healthy food.  But greasy.  Maybe I can make a sweet batter and bake it.

Anyway, I have to go!  Please take care, and have tons of fun!

Hi Natty!

Hi Honey!  Hi Sweetheart!  Did you hear me say hi?  Hi!  HI!!!  😄  You're so beautiful!  I love you!

Nothing much to report today.  Just the usual stuff, chores in the morning.  Then made my lunch, it was fry bread with chicken liver curry.  After voice training, I took the chainsaw and cut down all the big trees in what was my mango farm.  I ran out of motor oil, and I can't afford more for another 10 days, so there are a couple of trunks still standing.  Good thing I took off the crowns first.  For dinner, I bought some fried chicken over at the night market.  I guess I'm too lazy to cook my dinner.  How about you?  What are you having for dinner?  You never share your menu with me!  I would love to know.  Anyway, I hope you are doing and feeling great, my beloved.  Please take care.

Sunday

Hi there Natty honey!  How are you feeling today?  Are you having a nice weekend?  Hugs from me too, my love.  I do so long to embrace you, my beautiful lady.  Today is Sunday, and I always have a busy Sunday.  Sunday mornings I have to clean my mother's bedroom.  Then I make my lunch, and try to get some rest before voice training.  In the evening, I continued to dismantle the mango farm.  Only the bigger trees are left, so I will fire up the chainsaw tomorrow inshaAllah.  I kind of spent too much time so I was late making my dinner, which was steamed rice with fried chicken and onions.  I just barely got done with the sunset prayer before I post this letter, and now it's almost time for the night prayer.  I don't wear a watch.  I used to check the time on my cell phone, but that died recently so now I don't have a watch nor a phone.  😊  Anyway, I hope you are having tons of fun.  I love you, and have a great weekend.

Sunday is PINK!!!
