That "smoky" flavor

Hiya Nattikins!  How are you doing, my beautiful precious one?  I hope you are doing great and everything is going great for you.  I'm doing all right.  It's been raining, so I stay indoors because I can't do any yard work.  I did my laundry in the morning.  Then I had BBQ chicken for lunch.  I have a little stone grill (stone lasts so much longer than metal) and I fire it up on the porch, out of the rain.  Ah, one of life's little pleasures, is grilling chicken and eating it at the grill.  It must be a primal sight, my squatting at the grill gnashing at a drumstick with a cat beside me waiting for scraps.  But few things are as blissful as eating fresh off the grill at the grill.  I have a great routine at making BBQ sauce.  I won't list the procedure here, but somehow it has that smoky flavor without using artificial smoke, like mesquite flavor etc.  One may argue that since I'm sitting at the grill, I get that smoky flavor from the actual smoke of the fire.  But no, the flavor is there even before I light the fire.  I don't know how it happened, it's just there.  One of life's mysteries.  I love BBQ chicken.  The tryptophan helps too.  I always sing well after enjoying a BBQ chicken lunch.  It calms my heart and thenceforth, my voice.  Want some?
