The Devil and Mary Christmas

 

Hi Natty!  How are you today?  I hope everything is easy going for you.  I'm doing OK over here.  I had a young tree to kill, a weed tree, which had been growing unnoticed in the scrub until I saw it yesterday.  It had grown quite tall, but there was still a chance for me to kill the root without having to dig it up.  I built a very hot fire at the base of the tree, which should hopefully boil the juices in the tree all the way down to the root.  Then I can just snap off the trunk and the crown.  A lot of ants, though.  They were biting my balls.

You folks may have noticed that I had Mary tone down her set for Christmas.  She sang only nice songs, in English.  I'm sure nobody wants to cry on Christmas.  Today it's back to the tears and heartbreak.  People like to believe in the morning and forget in the evening, then call themselves faithful.

Kitten update

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  Did you enjoy your Christmas?  I hope you had an awesome day.  I'm doing OK, I'm just sitting here writing to my Sweetie while munching on sardine rolls.  They're not bad.  Want one?  Oh, you must have a lot of turkey to finish.

The kittens are doing well, alhamdulillah.  In clockwise order that's Otto, Helmut, Anna and Gunhilde.  As you can see, they already have their heads up and trying to surpass the limits of their crib.  Not even 2 weeks old!  Please excuse the stain folks, that's actually a fresh towel.  A towel that has spent its existence servicing cats.  Anna looks huge, huh?  The next boss cat, perhaps.  So now I have 7 cats.  Yikes!  I feel like Snow White!  More kitty litter, please!

The locals don't celebrate Christmas but they do know it's a public holiday, so Starbucks was packed.  Yes I ran out of coffee, and of course they didn't have Espresso Roast.  Instead, they gave me something called Blonde Roast.  What's up with that?  I bet you don't drink Blonde Roast, Natty.  Right?  You drink Espresso Roast, right?  At least they said they would save a pack of Espresso Roast for me if I call it in.  Ugh, I can't drink anything less than Starbucks anymore.  I just can't do it, Natty.  I've become Americanized with my coffee.  Maybe I should get a coffee grinder and buy coffee online.  Maybe they have 8 O'Clock Bean.  Or Kona.
