Time warp

 

Hi Natty!  How's it going today?  Aw don't you worry so much, my beautiful precious Natty.  I love you with all of my heart.  Everything will work out absolutely fabulous for us inshaAllah.  Please be patient and pray, OK!  I experienced my first real time warp yesterday.  I'm not bragging nor justifying myself, I only want to record it in my weblog so I remember when it happened.  After the Asr prayer, I went straight from the mosque to the night market to get some treats for my mother.  That was 5 pm.  When I got home, I changed my clothes then swept my mother's kitchen and took out the trash.  After that,  I put on my boots and hacked down the low branches from a line of trees with a scythe along the road to the elementary school.  That's about 50 yards of thick braches.  Then I dug up a few stumps with a heavy hoe.  I cooked a batch of roast beef in the morning, and I needed to portion it into cubes but before that I had my dinner, which was roast beef and cheese sandwiches.  I checked the clock, and it was about 7 pm.  Whoops, I'll do the beef later!  Sunset was 7:30 pm and I still had to blog, so I took a shower then worked on my blog while I dried off.  Come 7:30 they still hadn't called the prayer, so I put on my mosque outfit and got ready to leave.  I checked the clock on the computer, and it was only 6:30 pm.  Somehow I gained an hour.  Maybe I misread the time, but there's no way I could have done that shopping and all that labor in less than an hour.  God gave me an extra hour yesterday.  What did I do with the extra time?  I was exhausted, so I took a nap.

Toilet paper

 

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  I hope you are feeling great and having a fabulous time.  Did you watch the Oscars?  I didn't.  But I did see the video where Will Smith smacked Chris Rock.  Way to steal the show!  Next year, the organizers are getting security to smack everyone at the front door so nobody gets upstaged.  Coincidentally, I ran out of toilet paper so I had to buy more.  We didn't have a toilet paper shortage around here during the Covid, probably because most people around here wash with water.  Not me though, and lately a lot more people around here have switched to toilet paper.  Washing with water can give you a fungal infection, which is not a pleasurable itch to scratch.  Thus, toilet paper is more available than ever before around here.  But few merchants around here put the prices on packs of toilet paper.  I think it's because the common mentality of folks here is that they just want to wipe their asses, why pay more for toilet paper?  Which results in the cheap stuff being sold out, and the cushiony, fragrant TP being all there is on the shelves.

Public restrooms are notoriously disgusting around here.  One would be blessed to find a fairly clean (and clean smelling) one with a rubber hose for a bidet.  And truly blessed are the folks who find a public restroom here with toilet paper.  My advice is to carry TP with you wherever you venture around here.  Sure you can learn how to wash with water, but would you want to?  I haven't used a public restroom in years.  Praise the Lord!

Aw Natty, you poor beautiful girl.  I'm sorry about all this waiting around.  I'm sorry for you, and I'm sorry for me.  At least you are traveling on a choo-choo train, and there's nice scenery.  Looks American, maybe Southern Utah or Nebraska.  I hope you have lots of fun Honey, and please take good care of yourself.

I made some stuffed won tons today.  Of course I use a halal stuffing: fish and tofu.  I guess I don't fold them the normal way, I actually have little patience for stuffing won tons.  I just want to hurry up and eat them.  I could bypass the labor of cooking, but I like my own cooking is the problem.  The hot sauce I made the other day is OK, not the best I ever made but nice and thick.  I suppose the best dishes come with painstaking labor.  I just want to hurry up and eat.  I think I ate too much, though.  Blurgh.
