It's been a busy day here for me, but at least I have more energy than I did yesterday.  Ugh, it was bloody hot yesterday.  Canada sure sounds good, but today is a little cooler here.  Alhamdulillah.  I just got done with dinner after cutting the grass.  I had some home made chicken nuggets to with "pulut udang" (grilled glutinous rice stuffed with spicy coconut shrimp).  Strange combination, but a quick meal.  I don't know if it would match your palate, but maybe you would like to try some?

Movie night

 Oh, so pretty!  Natty, you look gorgeous!  I love it when you dress up all girlie.  Does wearing that kind of dress embarrass you?  You look so delicious in it though.  I wish you would wear dresses like that for me more often.  The air is thick with fashion business for us, Honey.  Don't worry, I've already chosen my wife so I'm not going to chase after pretty blondes.  That weight of the world on your shoulders and its disappointments is just an illusion.  Just be patient, and pray OK!  I love you with all of my heart.

Tonight is movie night again!  Yeah, part of being a fashion magazine is that I have to do movie reviews.  Tonight it's "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021).  I want to talk about the Marvel Cinematic Universe in general.  I was a teenager on Marvel comics, and I am witness to the adaptation of the comic book stories to movies.  I'm sure many people will agree with me that Marvel has used up most of their good stuff already, and fucked up a good chunk of it (X-Men, Fantastic Four).  I can pretty much guess what climax they are heading to next after "Avengers: Endgame" (2019).  By bringing the multiverse into play, I'm guessing it's going to be a showdown like the Secret Wars.  The trouble is, a lot of Marvel superstars have retired.  Unless of course they bring them back to life (and profitability) somehow.  Does anybody have any sort of emotional connection to the newer superheroes?  I don't even feel like watching "The Eternals" (2021), I'm not familiar with any of them.  Maybe it's because I'm an old man, and kids nowadays have a different sensibility of nostalgia.  There was a lot less content when I was a kid, though.  The trouble with having a hit like "Avengers: Endgame" is that you have to beat it.  Greed.  Here I posted a video on the highest grossing movies of all time.  Keep in mind that a movie ticket in 1975 was 2.03 USD, while in 2019 it was 9.16 USD.  Oh by the way, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is a fun movie with lots of nostalgia.  If any Marvel franchise can survive the long run, it's Spider-Man.  Kind of like James Bond.

Mary did it to me again today, folks.  I was blacking out throughout her entire set.  You folks aren't sitting here having that voice in your face and bouncing around in your head at a loud volume.  I might just fall into a coma at any given moment.  Her avatar sure looked good, though:

Broken ankles

 Hi Natty!  How are you today, my darling?  Are you enjoying the ride on the merry-go-round?  I hope you are taking good care of your health and safety.  I'm doing OK over here, I just had some "satay" for dinner.  I gave some to the cats.  They absolutely loved it.  Of course, it's grilled beef.  I'm feeling sorry for poor Kamila Valieva.  There's no way she could have taken all those drugs on her own cognizance.  She's only 15 and should be very impressionable, there must have been the influence of others to take any kind of medication whatsoever.  Other people.  She must be devastated, poor girl.  A spiritual form of broken ankles.  The life of an ice princess seems very dramatic.

Speaking of broken ankles, Google sent me this video of 3 girlie avatars dancing to a tune by Perfume.  They look good I think, and the clothes move realistically.  Take note, Second Life.  The facial animations need work, and all 3 have broken ankles.  At least Second Life has ankle fixes.  See Mary's avatar, how straight her ankles are?  Her boobs can bounce like that too, but I kept them small and firm because she is a clothes horse.  I'm sure you understand what being a clothes horse is about, Honey.

Hi Natty!  How are you, Honey?  You've been awfully quiet lately.  I hope you're not mad at me again.  Whatever it is I did, I'm sorry.  Please don't be mad at me, because I love you with all of my heart.  Let's watch a movie together OK?  It's "Cruella" (2021).  Wow, Cruella sure looked great when she was young.  As compared to how I know her:

But I guess I'm judging this movie on nostalgia, from the original Disney "101 Dalmatians" (1961).  In "Cruella", she is made out to be a likable rebel, even though she's not supposed to be likable at all.  But that's OK, there's plenty of time for her to grow old and corrupt.  I loved the gown made out of chrysalis angle.  It's a good movie overall, but what really bothers me is that Horace and Jasper are made out as compassionate and competent.  Yes, competent!  See how many jobs they pull off cleanly, and how few they fail?  And Cruella the dog lover?  Come on Disney, of course people are going to expect nostalgia!  Check out the original Disney "101 Dalmatians" (1961) below, it's free to watch on YouTube.  Wait, that's 2 movies!
